Here is the unboxing of the rare one-time figure made by Bill Nelson circa 2004. He has a slot jaw, eyes move side to side, eyebrows move up. I acquired him from the Ventriloquist and book author Bob Albano. He purchased the figure direct from Bill Nelson. I am the 2nd owner. Bell Nelson created this figure inspired by the movie “The Music Man” and based on actor Ron Howard role playing Winthrop Paroo as a child. Bob Albano named the Bill Nelson figure “Peter”. I was going to call him “Hanz” but I will stick with original name “Winthrop Paroo” Winthrop Paroo was shipped to me from Taiwan and has lived an exotic life. Here is a 3rd video using the Frank Marshall Nosey figure I named Leonard. A rare unique old nosey figure made by Frank Marshall probably in the 1930’s or early 1940’s. A great rare figure in the same vein as Jerry Mahoney and Danny O’Day. Figure maker – Frank Marshall is the creator of those 2 famous dummy vent figures. Paul Winchell was a ventriloquist that used the Jerry Mahoney figure who sang this song in his act at one time. The cover art and closing art I incorporated Paul Winchell’s likeness in a creative inspirational sense. I decided to use a post-Apocalyptic background to give contrast to the nostalgic carefree song with a spin on the tune. I only incorporated a small segment of the song needed to achieve this expression. Here is the unboxing of a rare unique old nosey figure made by Frank Marshall probably made in the 1930’s or early 1940’s. He has a slot jaw with leather underpinned to the neck. Eyes turn to the left side and self-center. He also has one winker. What makes him unique is the hands are not of the usual Frank Marshall style. They are wood hands that are made to look like gloved hands. Possibly to go for that old Charlie McCarthy tuxedo dress look. Plus, one of the hands has a spring mechanism to move the thumb, which needs fixing from decay over the years. No restoration has been done this guy so he comes all original needing some TLC. Some collectors out there prefer to leave these old figures as they are (decayed patina), maintaining their aged charm. There were some mechanism tools and change of clothes kept with this guy in a box for a long time. I think he was used by a Preacher. He was a hand me down to the family just stored away in a closet or attic for half a century. I ended up naming him Leonard. My Fats vent figure (from the movie “Magic”) makes an appearance at the end of this video. This unboxing was filmed in May 2019. I am going to do some more videos with him to bring him more to life. This is an original 1:1 replica cast from the original Billy puppet used in the SAW horror movie series. It is signed by the actor Tobin Bell who played Jigsaw as well as another actress from the SAW series. Numbered 150 of the limited 195 that were made. Comes with signed card by the maker. I had put together an antique child tricycle from 1950 that matches up with the one used in the films as well. I’ve had him for a few years now but he has recently moved on to a new home with someone who will take good care of him. Very unique, limited edition to add to a collection. Leonard Insull Senior figure (I named Simon) from the 1940’s with 8 animated movements, including a cryer that shoots tears out the sides of the eye sockets. Glass eyes (not painted over), figure untouched with any restoration. The natural decay, though mostly cosmetic, darkening of the paint over time more than likely due to coal mining town of Scotland, give this Cheeky Boy a creepy unkept look. I had attended a Nina Conti performance at the Barrow Street Theatre in New York City back in December of 2016. A 22 plus minute portion from that evening was uploaded to youtube on a channel called rivimont. It was a magical improv performance and that video got many views. I will put a link in the description to that video. When Nina was looking for a voice to give one of the audience participants I shouted out “Bela Lugosi” I had forgotten that I had filmed some of that night with my phone. You get a closer view from where I was sitting. I am going to play that next. After that I am going to show off my Monkey which is the same manufactured Monkey Nina uses. I will attempt to make him talk. Nina’s Monkey voice may end up coming through after. So, make sure you watch this video all the way through. Yeah, you can see my mouth move some during the opening and closing monologue portion. This is my favorite film with Gene Wilder, pure genius. There is a message being expressed in this video, albeit corny as it may be. We can use more self-reflection, inner discovery, self-love, and compassion for all life. There are a lot of Dark Forces at play at this time and they are all human made. Yet there is a lack of humanity in the actions of many soldiering hate, violence, crime, and destruction as if the end goal will lead to a world that better serves them.
