What a week - In a display profoundly at odds with democratic values, the Australian PM has called for the censorship of X. It appears that the government, unable to maintain control over their narrative, is now attempting to silence dissenting voices. This strategy is right out of Mao's Little Red Book, Putins playbook and Kim Jong Un's every day. Freedom of speech is an innate right that every individual is born with. It's not something to be mediated by the government's whims on what may or may not be said, seen, or heard. In a significant move towards enhanced defence cooperation, Australia and the United Kingdom have signed a new defence and security agreement that facilitates easier collaboration between their defence forces in each other's countries. The signing of the treaty on Thursday, March 21, 2024, comes at a time when both nations believe that the need to act together has never been more pressing, given the current global climate. As part of the treaty, both countries will consult each other if they come under threat, and the agreement also adds a strategic dimension to one of Australia's oldest partnerships. The United Kingdom has committed to contributing to a submarine rotational force in Australia, as well as a Combined Intelligence Centre within Australia's Defence Intelligence Organisation. In addition to the new defence agreement, Australia has announced its decision to join an international drone coalition to aid Ukraine's war effort. Joining forces with allies such as Britain and Latvia, Australia's contribution is aimed at helping Ukraine stay the course and resolve the conflict on its own terms. Drones have become a vital tool in Ukraine's war against Russia, with the country relying on their massive use to compensate for a shortage of artillery shells. The Ukrainian armed forces require between 100,000 to 120,000 drones per month, making outside assistance crucial. The drone coalition, led by Britain and Latvia, aims to deliver thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine. The United Kingdom has pledged £200 million to provide "the single largest package of drones given to Ukraine by any nation". Australia's specific commitment to the drone coalition is expected to be made public in the coming weeks. On the 15th of March, 2024, the DPRK conducted an airborne operation for their dear leader, Kim Jong Un. The biggest take away for me from these images is that the DPRK intends to use human wave attacks, per their Korean War doctrine. The images from this exercise show a clear lack of command and control, indicating that on the battlefield, it's every man for himself. These DPRK airborne troops don't seem to be an effective fighting force at all. Nonetheless, we should never underestimate our enemy, and it's still valuable to pay attention to how they train, as this reveals exactly how they'll fight. I wanted to make this video to once and for all show that Ukrainian soldiers continue to break the laws of armed conflict on a daily basis. Each day, the Ukrainian side releases propaganda videos showing the battlefield murder of Russian soldiers who are hors de combat. This is a French term meaning "out of the fight." It is used in military and international law to describe soldiers or combatants who are no longer able to participate in combat due to injury, surrender, or detention. Such individuals are entitled to certain protections according to the laws of war, meaning they cannot be attacked or targeted as they are no longer considered a threat. Every day, I see videos showing Ukrainian soldiers breaking the Laws of Armed Conflict. Why aren't these people held to the same standards as Western armies? We are funding them and giving them these weapons, yet they continue to break all of the so-called rules that we must abide by.
