Rediscover Self-Worth: Empowering Veterans to Embrace Their Present Opportunities with Kevin Bemel
During their military careers, veterans undergo a remarkable transformation in the noble pursuit of protecting and serving their country. The structured environment, camaraderie, and shared purpose instill a profound sense of identity and purpose. Yet, when the time comes to transition into civilian life, many veterans find themselves grappling with the challenge of letting go of the past and fully embracing who they are in the present. It is a transition often marked by uncertainty and doubt. This intricate process is, however, an opportunity for them to discover themselves and recognize the genuine desire of those around them to extend a helping hand.
In this episode, Brett Henderson talks with Kevin Bemel about how veterans can let go of the past and fully embrace who they are in the present. Having worked with thousands of civilians and service members to start and fund a business, reach and exceed their career goals, and create flourishing family lives, Kevin also speaks about how he helps military people transition into the civilian world.
After being an entrepreneur, Kevin Bemel was a rabbi in the United States Navy. His call sign at the air wing, Rabs, has become his nickname. Kevin is also the President at The Bemel Company, where he helps startup and early-stage companies identify challenges and create solutions, including engaging in critical personnel, arranging strategic relationships, and raising angel and seed capital. Transforming Catastrophe into Opportunity with Alex Hernandez
In the face of disaster, some see only devastation, while others find the seeds of opportunity. History has shown that from the ashes of destruction, opportunities emerge for growth, transformation, and progress. And the story of Miami and New Orleans, with its post-Hurricane Katrina revitalization, is a testament to this belief. This tale of redemption demonstrates the immense potential that arises from tragic circumstances. Whether in the construction industry or any other field, embracing failure, seeking new horizons, and pursuing passion are guiding principles for turning catastrophe into opportunity.
In this episode, Brett Henderson talks with Alex Hernandez. Alex is the Founder and CEO of Hernandez Consulting & Construction, responsible for overall leadership and management of the firm along with setting strategy and culture. He expanded the company from New Orleans, LA, with an office now in Miami, FL, performing work in eighteen states. His prior experience as a U.S. military officer and as an executive in banking in the private sector provided the perfect backdrop for his entrepreneurial ventures with Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Albert Architecture, NORF Companies, and numerous joint ventures.
Having served and supported numerous veteran servicing organizations, Alex has always felt passionate about veteran issues and has hired military veterans proactively. Building Wealth for Veterans and Service Members Through Real Estate with David Pere
After dedicating themselves to a life of service, veterans often grapple with a loss of identity and purpose. However, amidst the challenges lies an opportunity to rebuild, find a new calling, and create a prosperous future. One avenue that holds great potential is real estate—a realm that catalyzes both wealth-building and a renewed sense of purpose.
In this episode, Brett and Giselle share a conversation with David Pere. David is dedicated to teaching and leading service members, veterans, and their families to learn how to build wealth, entrepreneurship, and personal finance. Today, he talks about how veterans lose their identity and purpose after serving in the military. He dives deeper into how real estate investing can help them regain their identity, find purpose, build wealth, and make financial freedom a reality.
David Pere is the CEO of From Military to Millionaire and Co-founder of the RE War Room Mastermind Group. He is a Marine Corps veteran of 13 years and is currently in the reserves. In 2015, David purchased his first real estate investment. After seeing firsthand how cash flow could change his life, he went all in on real estate. In 5 years, he went from a negative net worth to a millionaire with 100+ rental units, transitioning off active duty to work for himself. Along the way, David started documenting his journey, which blossomed into a massive community of "Military Millionaires" and future Military Millionaires.

In this episode, Chris Taylor talks with Brett and Giselle. Passionate about building teams and great businesses, Chris speaks about corporate culture. He also shares the cost of having a bad culture, how he addresses personal differences at work, and what he sees as the biggest challenge veterans face in corporate America.

Leadership Biomechanics: Personal and Business Development with John MacLaren
In life or in business, success goes beyond just acquiring a particular skill set. Managing the challenges of a changing global landscape requires strong leadership and personnel with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. However, more than the old ways of training and education are needed to equip young people with these skills. How can people tap into the power of their human brain to reach new heights in personal and professional development?
In this episode, John MacLaren joins Brett Henderson and Giselle Cayme. A personal and business coach, veteran transition specialist, and Navy SEAL/NSW mentor, John talks about the challenges corporations are dealing with, the importance of leadership biomechanics in unlocking true potential, and the power of the human brain in personal and business development.
John MacLaren spent the past 38 years working in the United States and worldwide as a U.S. Navy Cryptologist and a U.S. Navy SEAL in direct action anti and counter-terrorism work. After active duty, John creates Direct Action, where he develops lasting corporate culture and advanced leadership biomechanics and trains active-duty military, military candidates, and civilians.
