Surprisingly, nine whole years happened between the stove-heated room and the fancy Method of Doubt stuff.

And this is VERY provisional!

Before we get to the Method of Doubt, we need to know this stuff.

Charles Schulz, author of Peanuts, wrote a couple of books of single-panel comic books about young adults in church. They were great. (I believe the books were titled Young Pillars and What Was Buggin' Old Pharaoh?) Anyway, there was one magnificent panel where one young churchman says to another, as I recall: "Oh yeah? Well, I bet I'm twice as humble as you are!"

Our ideas should be orderly.

After studying the Great Book of the World, Descartes decides to look within.
