"Cold Nights & Mornings in Central Oregon II"
“Be happy while you are living,
for you are a long time dead.” ~ Scottish Proverb!
Another cold night, but with some interesting aerial phenomena... Some of the bright lights were from me at various points throughout the night. What flew by at 10 PM had to have been a plane though... Cloudy skies for the most part, sadly.
Enjoy the music and Nightlapse video of the Central Oregon Skyline!

"Cold Nights & Mornings in Central Oregon I"
Very cold night last night - down into the mid-twenties. Very crisp clean air... left the GoPro on with a power pack and it made it through the night. Need to play around with the settings and find the best setting for dark overcast nights. Anyways I hope you enjoy the video and the "soundtrack" as it is.
Have a good one and see you all later on down the timeline ~ S.

BATTLE ROCK ISLAND ILLUSIONS The Peninsula Hike
Lovely Battle Rock Wayside visit... this is the footage from the Peninsula Hike. Perhaps on a really high King's Tide Battle Rock could be temporarily transformed into an island. At least until low tide again! Oh, one more other thing before you start the video: Just a little intro music at the start of the vid otherwise just the sound of the Pacific Ocean for about eight minutes straight.
If you found the time to enjoy this video then do please consider leaving a "like" behind as a foot print - evidence of your having enjoyed this video. Better still I hope the video motivated you to do some of your own coastal hiking or inland hiking as your local circumstances dictate! As always - you know the drill - if you bring it on out there, then please do bring it on back home or to some other area where waste items can be properly disposed of responsibly. I am aiming this comment at those among us taking their first steps out and about and not aiming this comment at you the experienced outdoor enthusiasts. Have a good one and safe journeys out there! ~ S.
PS I will attempt to go back and get some three sixty footage and then edit it down into a more interesting chronicle of a hike out upon Battle Rock.

Another Oregon Beach visited along the Oregon Coastal hidden Gem area... Another hike and relaxing visit seaside in the books! Rainy stormy weather but that just gave the visit a special series of atmospherics!

COURAGE is GRACE under PRESSURE Part III
Thanks for your patience! Here it is...
This is the "RUMBLE VERSION"... the BitChute version (SpotOnLiving) will be totally different and other shorter variations will be on offer for other sites to draw people to these two freedom of expression platforms. I will not be putting in any considerable effort - like I put into these videos here - on censorship platforms and will avoid most of them whenever possible. The Content Creators are the one's that built certain other established platforms... and should be treated much more respectfully than they are on those "other" social media sites.
Enjoy part three... I have plenty of footage for future posts until Bungee Jumping is back on like Donkey Kong! Have a good one folks ~ Sean.

COURAGE is GRACE Under PRESSURE Part II
"Ganbatte Kudasai" is Japanese for "Be Your Best/Do your Best."
Here is Part two of the intended three part series in "Courage is Grace Under Pressure"... Three jumps are in this one and I have played around with the format for some variety. The team at CENTRAL OREGON BUNGEE ADVENTURES are the best at what they do and put your experience and safety first and foremost. I am bummed that they won't be out at the Bridge in Peter Skene Ogden State Scenic Viewpoint every weekend. You can still schedule events with them... but the regular season has come to a close. I am looking forward to the 2024 season already!

COURAGE is GRACE Under PRESSURE Part I
CENTRAL OREGON BUNGEE ADVENTURES: COURAGE is GRACE under PRESSURE Part I
Part I of the Bungee Jumps that took place on Saturday the 28th of October, 2023. Here you see: The PROFESSIONALS! All of these fine folks work the jumps and are the wind beneath the wings of everyone who jumps with CENTRAL OREGON BUNGEE ADVENTURES. They even supply you with the wings which upon you soar!
For the record - these folks are dedicated. When I woke up that morning it was 16 degrees out and it only got up into the 40's later on in the day. So towards the end of the season one can expect some of the coldest conditions - but probably an even more invigorating experience! Perhaps even a little Cryotherapy! Jumping with the cold wind blowing and dipping down into the shaded Canyon takes bravery and dedication. And for me... would require lots of cold weather gear!!! However many people soared with Central Oregon Bungee Adventures for some of their final weekend Bungee Jumps. If you have a bucket list or want a unique experience for you and your friends or co-workers though you can still schedule events!

Enjoy these 6 jumps… I will be jumping with Central Oregon Bungee Adventures once they start to book more jumps again! Thanks for watching - be safe out there but be brave! ~ Sean.

Crater Lake National Park: An Evening hike upon the Sun Notch Trail
An Evening hike upon the Sun Notch Trail inside Crater Lake National Park Oregon, USA
Evening hikes are relaxing... and this was my third hike of the day for a total of 9.2-ish miles on Sunday the 24th of September, 2023. This particular hike is a short one at eight tenths of a mile or so. Scenic. Beautiful. Relaxing!
Location inside of the park for the Sun Notch trail is located off of The East Rim Drive in Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, USA. As you drive/ride/hike the rim roadway the trailhead is located at the end of a long bend around Sun Meadow. A pull off area functions as a small parking area on the north side of the road with the trailhead being located off to your left for the beginning of this short enjoyable hike.
Enjoy the video and get out there and hike! ~ S.

JUMP TO IT Part III: Lewis & Clark Montana Firefighters versus Gravity
More soaring American Eagle flights from this past Saturday which was the 23rd of September, 2023. AWESOME STUFF!
This time we see several members of the LEWIS and CLARK FIREFIGHTERS from MONTANA enjoy gravity's pull at the Crooked River High Bridge in the beautiful Peter Skene Ogden State Park in Terrebonne Oregon, USA. There were around 20 firefighters that jumped that day - quite the showing! All of these hard working and rugged people were on their way back to Montana after fighting fires in California - wishing them and theirs all the best in this life.
Thanks for watching and my gratitude to the LEWIS & CLARK firefighting team for their bravery and service. ~ S.

MOUNT BAILEY PART II: HIGH SPEED GUIDED TOUR: Getting to the Top!
This is part two of my High Speed Guide to MOUNT BAILEY...
The view from the top, on a clear day, is quite amazing. While I was on this hike it was cloudy due to the forest fires and the air quality was compromised but the hike was still amazing. This will become a yearly hiking "pilgrimage" for me... and I look forward to my next visit to this amazing area.

MOUNT BAILEY PART I: A HIGH SPEED GUIDED TOUR: My favorite Oregon Hiking Experience Ever!
Mount Bailey a.k.a. "Baldy"...
Located in the Umpqua National Forest and standing at 8,368 in elevation this mountain offers you two hiking options:
OPTION ONE: Trail 1451 which is over 9 miles in length and allows you the opportunity for over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Different guide books give different trail lengths for Trail 1451 with 9.6 and 10 having been some of the distances I have seen listed. Awesome hike in the woods... once you hit the crater you are treated to a wide diversities of terrain and views. This mountain has it all - in my humble opinion!
OPTION TWO: Dirt Road 300 forks left onto Road 380: You need a four wheel drive vehicle to access this road... but it will cut 2.2 miles off of your hike. So then the hike is "around" 5.5 miles in total distance. Your elevation gain will be around 2,000 feet.
With a Crater to show membership in the Cascades, a lovely opening in the rock wall that frames Diamond Lake and Mount Thielsen, a hidden garden during the Summer time, some technical hiking, skree slopes, a three foot wall to scramble over and awesome views from the top this hike has so much to offer. I will be doing this hike again in the future!

POOLSIDE AT CRATER LAKE 09/15/23 (On a fine Friday)
Poolside @ Crater Lake in Crater Lake National Park located in Oregon, USA!
Nothing refreshes you like a quick - and I mean quick! - dip into Crater Lake after some hiking in the hot sun. This footage is take from Friday September the 15th of 2023 and was on the occasion of my third boat trip out to Wizard Island this season. I loved every second of my visits out to this volcanic island and look forward to many more visits in the future as well.
Two of Crater Lake’s residents are featured in this coverage: Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels and Crayfish. The ground squirrels are everywhere and are not only weaponize their cuteness to get handouts from park visitors but are very adept as “visiting” your backpack once your back is turned. Please don’t feed them… they need to rely upon their own foraging skills or otherwise there could be detrimental consequences for these amazing animals. As regards the Crayfish… they are not native to Crater Lake. They were originally introduced as food for the Rainbow Trout but their populations have exploded which has driven the Mazama Newt to the edge of extinction. To save these newts, which long ago abandoned the ability to create and secrete poison in their skins as a defense mechanism, evolved as the top of the food chain residents of Crater Lake. That is until the Fish and Crayfish were introduced into the Crater Lake ecosystem. Now the Crayfish have to be removed… and that seems to be unlikely. Time will tell.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed this video of my Crater Lake swims and lakeside explorations. Hope you get to visit this fine blue crown jewel in America’s National Park system. Please remember to leave no trace though and to be respectful of the wild animals that call the park home. Except for those Crater Lake Fish and Crayfish!
Stay healthy and be well ~ S.

WIZARD ISLAND: A Volcanic Island Hike in Crater Lake National Park, OR, USA!
My first visit out to the Wizard Island in Crater Lake National Park located in Oregon, USA!
A guided video tour of the hiking trail to the top - not all of it but a sampler so you can enjoy the beauty of Wizard Island. The trail is a 2.4 mile out and back hike which you can totally do with your three hour visitors pass so you can get that hike done in plenty of time. I undertook this adventure on Monday the 4th of September of 2023 having taken the Wizard Island Shuttle out to the Island at 12:30 PM... back at the Dock by 4:30-ish. An enjoyable experience and one I can highly recommend.
Not much wildlife out on the island though I do hope to get footage of the Mazama Newts, The Black Island Garter Snakes, Crayfish, Rainbow Trout and Kokanee Salmon. I even hope to get some fishing in at some point! The Mazama Newt is endangered so hands off the salamanders please! The Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrels have long ago conquered Wizard Island!
Wishing you and yours all the best - get out there and roll the bones! ~ Sean.

Mt Bachelor in the Smoke Clouds
VISIBLE (PUBLISHED)
Mt Bachelor Visit for Sunday 08/27/23
Mt Bachelor in Central Oregon, just outside of the town of Bend. Hiked on Sunday 08/27/2023...
Fine hike only clouded by fire smoke which grew heavier as the day wore on and negatively impacted breathing. As I got closer to the Summit the smoke grew thick and looked like rain clouds but the Summit was thankfully above most of the air contamination and was fairly "clean". This made for our now infamous red sunsets...
Post hike I had to rest up because the smoke really took the wind out of my sails.
