What is an offset on a rim or wheel?
An offset refers to the distance between the centerline of a wheel and the mounting surface of the hub.
It is measured in millimeters and can be positive, negative, or zero.
A positive offset means the mounting surface is closer to the front or street facing side of the rim.
A negative offset means the mounting surface is closer to the back or vehicle side of the rim.
A zero offset means the mounting surface is in the center of the wheel.
