This video covers chord functions (aka harmonic functions) on guitar using C Major as the key. There are three harmonic functions found within the major scale: Tonic, Subdominant and Dominant. The basic I-IV-V-I progression is utilized to understand the three diatonic chord functions of a major key. This lesson sets the stage for song writing videos to come.
