Rude Awakening - Soviet Film Project (Soviet Jews and Israel)
"Rude Awakening" documents the Zionist propaganda which Soviet Jews were often exposed to, and the regrets of those who moved to Israel.
The film also rejects Zionist propaganda which states that Jews were oppressed in the Soviet Union. It shows the way of life of Jews in the Soviet Union, and the many great contributions which Jewish people made to Soviet life.
On the Soviet Film Project:
At the end of 2008, various comrades regained possession of a cache of films that used to be the film library of the Berkeley, CA branch of the Soviet-American Friendship Society. The collection consists of about 300 films on a variety of topics. They are in Russian with English subtitles, and represent the Soviet Union speaking of itself, in its own voice.
The U. S. Friends of the Soviet People (USFSP) agreed to take possession of these films in 2009, and raise the funds and perform the work to digitize the collection, and to distribute its contents both via recorded media (like DVDs) and via the Internet.
Today, with the funds we have raised, we have finally been able to begin publishing these digitized films. If you would like to support us in continuing to digitize more films, please make a donation to USFSP at https://usfriendsofthesovietpeople.info/donations/ .
We do this not to profit from the work, but to preserve the memory of the USSR and its many achievements, and to pass that memory on to future generations.

Soviet San Francisco (Short Documentary)
"Soviet San Francisco" is a short documentary on the longshoremen-led San Francisco General Strike of 1934.
American Communists played a supporting role in the strike, but the local government stated that it was a full-fledged "Bolshevik plot" in order to justify bringing in the National Guard with a lethal use of force. Besides killing two men in the crackdown, the local "College of Communism" at 121 Haight St was raided in addition to numerous other locations.
"Soviet San Francisco" includes an interview with the Spanish Civil War veteran Nate Thornton, who was a young Communist involved with the strike at the time.

Can the Rosenberg Case be Reopened? (1975)
On June 19, 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed by electrocution after being wrongly accused of giving secrets on the production of atomic weapons to the Soviet Union. Their trial was a political one, based off of the American exceptionalist and anti-communist view that the Soviet Union was not technologically advanced enough to harness nuclear energy on its own.
This film includes interviews with Robert Meeropol, son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, as well as attorneys Ben Margolis and Luke McKissack, all interviewed by Robert Carl Cohen. They examine the numerous flaws in the examination and conviction of the Rosenbergs, demonstrating the need to reopen the Rosenberg case.
