Are We Merely Existing Or Living?
Looking around the world today as compared to the older times, it seems we are profoundly born as living beings, but while we start learning to live, we end up merely existing. And as the decades pass by, differentiating between living and existing has never been a concern to live with. Despite the race of life taking you to places you never wanted to visit or stay, it is important to live at the same time.
The biggest distinction between living and existing comes from how much control you have over life decisions. Where do you see control coming from? In general, someone who exists feels as if everything is outside of their control while someone living knows they determine the path their life takes.
Emotions have a big role to play in this. Someone who exists lets emotions such as fear and anger dictate what they can and can’t do. Someone who is living understands those emotions, controls them, and doesn’t let them interfere with their decisions.
Someone who exists would stay in the same dead-end job for years despite being unsatisfied and unhappy. Their fears have trapped them and they have no plans of getting out. They’ve lost hope and just mindlessly go through the day in order to maintain the status quo.

Artificial sweeteners
Artificial sweeteners, or sugar substitutes, are chemicals added to some foods and beverages to make them taste sweet.
While many people use artificial sweeteners to improve their health and cut back on sugar intake, research has shown that consuming them may actually be harmful.
While artificial sweeteners do not increase blood sugar levels, they do increase insulin levels in the blood. Because of their sweet taste, the pancreas mistakes them for sugar, and releases insulin as a response to help lower blood sugar levels. Having frequently increased insulin levels can lead to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes over time due to decreased insulin receptor activity.
Gut microbiota react differently to artificial sweeteners than to real sugar. Saccharin and sucralose have been found to shift the populations of gut microbiota, and have been linked to dysbiosis in humans.
