This guy rarely makes an appearance in the front of the tank. He also seems to move backwards most of the time.

When you see a fish disappear into the rock and appear in another place, he knows the tank better than you.

This guy was a busy bee looking for a new home.

This guy changed shells on me. Looks like he is happily eating now that he isn’t hunting for a new home.

When you follow a mysid around the tank, you run into everyone else. Hermits, Ceriths, and other mysid.

This little guy has zero fear while climbing a macro algae. He falls from the top but goes right back to climbing.

This guy is all over the macro algae. Who knew they had a ‘face’.

The blue goby sits on this rock ledge most of the day while the pajama cardinal either hovers on the back left corner or watches me through the rocks from the back of the tank.

The mysid had the wafer all to themselves until the hermits found it.

This snail controlled his slide down to the bottom of the tank so he could eat off the algae covered shell.

Thought this was pretty cool. You don’t normally see their little faces.

Another hermit flipped him over. Then he has to pull himself back.

Finally put live food in the tank. The pajama cardinal loved it.

We have 5 Trochus snails, 4 Cerith snails, and 7 dwarf Zebra/Orange & Black hermit crabs. I had a spot of musics net, nasty little gross snails without shells, and 5 hours in with the new clean up crew, and that spot is gone.

He is all over the tank all the time. I don’t think I want to get a fish big enough to eat him.

We have fish in the 10 gallon saltwater tank. The Neon Blue Goby got into a quarrel with another Neon Blue Goby. (It’s own reflection!) Thankfully it lost interest and is now exploring its new tank.

The hitchhiker in the bag of mysid shrimp is doing well. Found out today he isn’t the smallest shell in the tank. Week 3 of cycling a saltwater tank.

This little guy was a hitchhiker in a bag of feeder shrimp. He is a teeny tiny hermit in a teeny tiny shell sitting in another HUGE shell eating.

Got some feeder mysid shrimp to seed my tank and this guy was in the bag. He is huge. Never saw a mysid this big before. Guess because they usually are eaten by your fish before they get this big.

As one of these Hermit Crabs appears to be eating, it comes up behind another Hermit with bad intentions. You can see that the Hermit Crab being attacked knew something was up. Watch as it clutches a rock tightly, and at the last minute, brought it up into his shell, protecting himself. In the end, the blue hermit finally moved on. Credit to 'CynthiaB'.

In a 75 gallon salt water tank, two beautiful Blue Knuckle Hermit Crabs fight for dominance. While it is more of a shoving match, the winner remains the king of the tank. Credit to 'CynthiaB'.

Watch as a hermit crab hops in and out of different shells. It seems to be unable to decide which one to make his home. Each time he hops out of a shell, he keeps the other close by to make sure he can hop right back into the previous home. Credit to 'CynthiaB'.
