Build an Epic Guitar Solo using arpeggios by playing the changes.
We are going to use arpeggios to build an epic guitar solo over a song with no guitar solo. You can do this with any song and I decided ti kick Creep by Radiohead.

Here is what I did with it on my Live recording a few years back, enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbaRG52vu0Y

Shawn Lane: We Were There, Who was The Memphis Monster?
Shawn Lane: I was There
This is my insight on being Shawn Lane's Guitar Tech for many shows from 96-03, his friend, and his student. Shawn was such a brilliant and fun person. We all still miss him dearly. This video is in Dedication to my Dear friends, Willowdyne Martin and Diane Lane, RIP, and please say hello to my brother Shawn Lane.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
We Have a Plan! We are building a Dream Team of Minds, and hope to continue to be able to bring you the deepest insights ever released on Shawn Lane, we need your help to get there, though. Please Like, Subscribe, Comment, and Donate so we can get something really special out to you guys. I was in Shawn's inner circle, and I know the ones who were in it before me. One of my teachers at AIM, Sid Wolf, and I will be embarking on a journey to interview these people, and instead of doing a documentary we will post their memories, things they learned on guitar from him, and insights into the genius of Shawn Lane as we get them so you will have all new, never released material as we get it and as our resources allow because it is not free or even cheap to be able to do this.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
My fellow Alumni from The Atlanta Institute of Music have referred to Sid Wolf as Yoda for many years. He is a brilliant and highly educated mind and a very accomplished musician who all of the other instructors looked up to. As advanced Guitarists and teachers for many years, he and I will be able to breakdown the stuff we learn along this journey and ask the right questions to get to the good stuff and to be able to find, document, and share those slight nuances that truly made Shawn a phenomenon that was one of a kind. 20 years later and we are still learning things and understanding concepts he taught us. Sid and Shawn had a very high mutual respect and love for one another and the language and passion of Music and they understood it on a level very few could.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
Your donation and/ or volunteering your skills if you can help us will allow us ways and means to procure the proper equipment and expenses needed to make this happen. We also want to help his daughter Ashley be able to own all of her father's music rights, and proceeds will go to that as well and directly to his daughter Ashley and Ashley only. I was a trusted friend of Shawn and his family and have stayed true to him for almost 30 years. Many people have made money on him by illegally stealing and selling his work and intellectual property. Don't call yourself a fan or friend if you support this in any way.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
If you have stories of Shawn, direct insights on his playing and especially any lessons of Shawn, please get ahold of us, we want to get it out and we may even want to interview you.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
Let me say something directly from the Shawn Lane Camp and I speak for his direct family when I say this, We all want Shawn's Music and Videos out there, we want everything we can to be released, so his music lives forever. It has to be done though in a way to where if any profits are to be made it goes to the only place it should go and that is to his daughter. If you dedicated your life to creating something and passed away and you had a daughter how would you feel if your very gift to her was stolen and people you could not stand were allowing others to remix master, and yes even add guitar parts to your stuff and she was not getting paid? That is the truth of what Shawn's family has lived with for 20 years. Let's help them and yes let's get his music out there, absolutely, but let's do it through the proper channels. It's the right thing to do, and it's the right time to do it!
Shawn Lane: We Were There
Also, to those brave souls who have accurately transcribed his stuff and played it and did a killer job and actually pulled it off, Thank You! Yall are indeed providing something for the rest of the guitar community and future generations and you deserve the title Bad A$$ by tackling such a feat. You guys get our respect for sure.
Shawn Lane: We Were There
Let's do this yall, let us build Shawn's Legacy together as we are coming to his 60th birthday in March and 20 years since he left us. Let's leave his legacy now for many generations to come and yall please, let's take care of Ashley. I'm Jimmy Hudson and I approve this message.

Sweep Pick Like a King! #sweeppicking #guitarlessons #guitaradvice
Drag the pick with an angle like you are sweeping a floor to the next string and keep the angle and wait on that string until your fretting finger is ready to go to the next one. It takes a coordinated effort with both hands.
