Elon Musk unblocks everyone on Twitter, calls negative feedback a good thing.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter and Tesla, on Friday night, February 24, confirmed that he has unblocked everyone on the microblogging platform, calling "negative feedback a good thing".
The multi-billionaire clarified that everyone that he has ever blocked on Twitter has been unblocked, apart from scammers. He further recommended people to do the same thing to encourage negative feedback.
"I have unblocked everyone I blocked, apart from scammers. I recommend others do the same. Negative feedback is a good thing," Musk tweeted on Saturday night, February 24.
Ever since Musk acquired the microblogging platform last year, he has been bringing in a lot of changes, including to his own personal Twitter account.
Earlier this month, Musk had locked his Twitter profile for 24 hours to test how account privacy affects the reach of private and public tweets.
The 51-year-old said that the test helped him identify some errors within Twitter's system which the social networking platfomr has plans to address and fix soon.
Musk also said that the micro-blogging platform will make its algorithm "open source" next week, and improve it "rapidly".
When Musk tweeted, "say what you want about me, but I acquired the world's largest non-profit for $44B lol", one user commented: "Right. Now open source it, then we'll be truly impressed."
To which the Twitter boss said "Prepare to be disappointed at first when our algorithm is made open source next week, but it will improve rapidly!"

Suspended Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood is set to become a father
Suspended Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood is set to become a father just weeks after attempted rape and assault charges against were dropped.
Manchester United's Mason Greenwood will become a father for the first time just weeks after charges of attempted rape and assault against him were dropped, according to a new report by the Sun UK.
The report didn't detail if Harriet Robson, Greenwood's Ex-girlfriend is the mother of the child or someone else.
The news comes as Manchester United's female footballers have reportedly aired concerns about the striker's potential return.
Greenwood, 21 has been suspended since January 2022 after he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault in October last year.
The charges were dropped earlier this month with the UK's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) citing a 'withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light', developments that meant there was 'no longer a realistic prospect of conviction' They added that they had a 'duty' not to proceed with the case in such circumstances.
His family are said to be aware and 'looking forward' to welcoming the couple's child in the summer, The Sun reported.
Greenwood last played played a football match against West Ham on January 22, 2022, but he has continued to earn £75,000 a week since then. He is contracted until 2025.
Greenwood remains prohibited from training or playing for the club while the process of club investigation is ongoing. It is reported that it could last for months.
Natalie Burrell, founder of United Women's Supporters' Club, told The Sun: 'United need to make a statement and letting him back would be the worst thing they could do.
'I don't want to see him training, in a kit, or coming out at Old Trafford again. And I'm confident they won't (let him).'
The player released a statement after the CPS announced their decision, writing: 'I am relieved that this matter is now over and I would like to thank my family, loved ones and friends for their support. There will be no further comment at this time.'

Chelsea manager Graham Potter reveals his family has received death threats from fans over poor form
Chelsea manager Graham Potter reveals his family has received death threats from fans over poor form.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has disclosed that he and his family received anonymous death threats following the Premier League club’s poor run of results.
Chelsea is 10th in the table with two wins in their last 14 games and has only scored once at home this year.
Since Potter took the job in September after the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea has won nine of their 25 games.
As much as I’ve had support, I’ve had some not very nice emails that have come through that want me to die and want my kids to die, so obviously that’s not pleasant to receive,” said the 47-year-old former Brighton & Hove Albion boss to reporters on Friday evening, February 24.
“The challenge for me is, ‘OK, how do I conduct myself?’ That’s what I always turn around too. The higher you go, the more pressure you have on how you are as a person.”
“I want to succeed here. There is this nonsense that I don’t care. Where does that come from? Where’s your evidence on that?,” he added, ahead of Sunday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
“If you go to work and somebody’s swearing abuse at you, it’s not going to be pleasant.
“You can answer it two ways. I could say I don’t care, but you know I’m lying. Everyone cares what people think, because we’re hardwired to be socially connected.”
Potter said life had been difficult over the past few months as he tried to fashion a winning team, with Chelsea 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Spurs albeit with a game in hand.
Ask my family how life has been for me and for them. It’s been not pleasant at all,” he added.
“I understand supporters go home and they’re annoyed because the team aren’t winning but, I assure you, my life for the last three, four months has been fairly average, apart from the fact I’m really grateful for this experience.”
Regarding the death threats towards his family, Potter said a line had been crossed.
“You just have to put it aside, and thankfully it’s an isolated incident and it could come from anywhere. It’s just one of those things,” Potter told Sky Sports.
Asked if it had affected him, he said:
“Not really. It’s just a throwaway line, I think. I don’t give it any more weight than that.
“It’s not pleasant and it’s not pleasant for the family. You accept the criticism, you accept to be booed if you lose a game, and you accept whatever comes your way absolutely.
“Of course, there’s a line but I wouldn’t be the first person in life where the line’s been crossed and maybe in this instance it has been crossed.”

Women with period pain will be given as much paid 'menstrual leave' as they need in Spain.
Women with period pain will be given as much paid 'menstrual leave' as they need in Spain.
Spanish women are set to be given time off work for severe period pain as legislation is passed to allow additional sick leave.
The law, which passed by 185 votes in favour to 154 against, is aimed at breaking a taboo on the subject, the government said.
'It is a historic day for feminist progress,' Equality Minister Irene Montero tweeted ahead of votes on a number of feminist-inspired pieces of legislation.
The law entitles workers experiencing period pain to as much time off as they need, with the state social security system - not employers - picking up the tab for the sick leave.
As with paid leave for other health reasons, a doctor must approve the temporary medical incapacity.
The length of sick leave that doctors will be able to grant to women suffering from painful periods has not been specified in the new law.
About a third of women who menstruate suffer from severe pain, according to the Spanish Gynaecology and Obstetrics Society.
The measure has created divisions among both politicians and unions, with the UGT, one of Spain's largest trade unions, warning it could stigmatise women in the workplace and favour the recruitment of men.
The main opposition, conservative Popular Party (PP), also warned the law risks 'stigmatising' women and could have 'negative consequences in the labour market' for them.
'Menstrual leave' is one of the key measures in the broader legislation, which also provides for increased access to abortion in public hospitals.
Less than 15 per cent of abortions performed in the country take place in such institutions, mainly because of conscientious objections by doctors.
The new law also allows minors to have abortions without parental permission at 16 and 17 years of age, reversing a requirement introduced by a previous conservative government in 2015.
It was introduced on March 3, 2022, and former Minister for Equality Angela Rodriguez said it was past time for a discussion on reproductive health.
'The rights related to menstrual health have never been discussed and the data is chilling,' Rodriguez told El Periodico.
One in four women cannot choose the feminine hygiene products she wants to buy for financial reasons. That is why we propose that they can be dispensed free of charge in educational and social centres.?
Spain decriminalised abortion in 1985. But in 2010, it passed a law that allows women to opt freely for abortion during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy in most cases.

At least 73 migrants 'presumed dead' after boat sinks off Libya coast
At least 73 migrants 'presumed dead' after boat sinks off Libya coast
At least 73 migrants are reported missing and presumed dead after an inflatable rubber boat sunk off the coast of Libya, the UN's International Organization for Migration said.
The boat, crammed with around 80 migrants, reportedly departed from the village of Qasr al-Akhyar, 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of the capital, Tripoli, and was headed to Europe before the boat wreckedon Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The UN migration agency said that "seven survivors who made it back to Libyan shores in extremely dire conditions are currently in the hospital".
Libya Red Crescent (Al-Khums Branch) jointly with the police have recovered 11 bodies that washed ashore in Qasr Al-Akhya area.
The dead included one woman and 10 men, said IOM spokesperson Safa Msehli.
Qasr al-Akhyar officials shared footage online showing Libya's Red Crescent workers handling corpses washed ashore. The footage also showed the ruined inflatable rubber boat. It was not immediately clear what happened to the rubber boat.
The central Mediterranean remains the world's deadliest migratory sea crossing.
The latest tragedy brings the numbers of deaths there since the beginning of this year alone to 130, IOM said.
According to the agency's Missing Migrants Project, more than 1,450 migrant deaths were recorded on that route in 2022.
And more than 17,000 deaths and disappearances have been recorded there since 2014.
"This situation is intolerable. Concrete action by states is needed to increase search and rescue capacity, establish clear and safe disembarkation mechanisms as well as safe and regular pathways to migration to reduce dangerous journeys." IOM said.

Tyson Fury's dad claims his son could kill Deontay Wilder if they fight for a fourth time
Tyson Fury's dad claims his son could kill Deontay Wilder if they fight forafourthtime.
Tyson Fury's dad believes his son could kill Deontay Wilder if they fight for the fourth time.
Fury and Wilder have fought three times between 2018 and 2021, with the first bout scored a draw, before the Gypsy King secured knockout victories in their next two encounters.
While Fury is now in negotiations for an undisputed heavyweight clash with Oleksandr Usyk, there are also reports suggesting his team have also held secret talks with Wilder's representatives about a fourth fight at Wembley.
Speaking on the report. Fury's dad, John Fury said that it would be a terrible idea for the American to survive another battle with the WBC heavyweight champion.
'I'm worried about him fighting Wilder because I'm afraid of him killing Wilder,' Fury Sr told The Mirror courtesy of Freebets.com
Wilder's got a cracked skull, his skull is cracked like an egg. That kind of thing can't be repaired so if Tyson hits him again he could kill him.
So I've said "unless you want a funeral on your hands and the death of Deontay Wilder keep from him".
'He's beat him three times, massacred him each time. He beat him [in the controversial draw] when he'd just lost eight stone and been out of the ring for three years.
'He poses no threat, the only danger he poses is Tyson killing him. That danger and smoke, we don't want, let him go faff about with these blokes he can hit once and they'll lay on the floor and carry on, he's no good to Tyson. I don't want to go to my grave knowing that my son's killed somebody.'

Woman whose decapitated body was found on Valentine's Day is identified.
Woman whose decapitated body was found on Valentine's Day is identified.
Police have revealed the identity of a woman whose dismembered body was found in a park in a horror Valentine's Day incident.
Officers were called to Buttes-Chaumont Park in Paris, France, after staff discovered the lower torso of a woman in a plastic bag on Monday, February 13.
The next day more remains were found, including a decapitated headfound at the end of a disused railway line.
Using thevictim's fingerprints, authorities in the French capital learned the body belonged to 46-year-old married mum-of-three Assia Matoug, who disappeared from her home in Seine-Saint-Denis, a northeastern district of the city, on January 31.
Police said the woman was likely killed before she was dismembered and added that she was still clothed in floral-patterned jeans when the grisly ritual took place.
"Obviously, the body was cut dressed," a source said.
?The corpse was not in a state of putrefaction, which seems to attest to a recent death.?
Parts of Mrs Matoug's body were found in a wooded area of the 61-acre park popular with families and joggers, with some of the remains having been stashed in plastic bags.
The source added: "The first bag was found in an area used by park workers to dump waste.
"It was hidden under a pile of leaves, and inside was a section of body cut from below the chest to the knees."
Mrs Matoug was reported missing by her husband, Youcef Matoug, on February 6 ? a week after she initially vanished.
Her husband was said to be "in a state of great distress" and juggling his grief with looking after the couple?s three children, aged eight, 14 and 17.
"He was in a state of shock, and said he had been too overcome with grief to speak to police earlier," said an investigating source.
Up until now, police had no leads in their hunt for the mum-of-three's killer.
Police have opened a murder inquiry and a major search operation, which saw the park temporarily cordoned off, was launched on Tuesday, February 14.
A diving team has also been called in to search the park's lake following the discovery.
No suspects have been identified so far.
Buttes-Chaumont Park, opened in 1867 is the fifth-largest park in the French capital and is a popular spot with families and tourists.
The green space is home to a number of popular attractions including the famous Temple de la Sibylle, which sits on top of the artificial lake.

USA returns $954,000 former Bayelsa gov, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, loot.
The United States Government has has repatriated the sum of $950, 000, which was looted by a former Governor of Bayelsa State, late Mr. Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, back to Nigeria.
This was disclosed to newsmen by the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard, at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, February 16. She said the official salary of the former governor during his tenure as a public servant from 1999 to his impeachment in 2005 did not match the said amount.
Also speaking at the press conference, the Solicitor-General of the Federation and permanent secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Beatrice Jedy-Agba, said the funds have been approved for the construction of a healthcare center for the residents of Bayelsa state.
?This asset return arose from the forfeiture and recovery of approximately $1 million USD linked to the corrupt practices of former Bayelsa state governor, D.S.P Alamieyeseigha.
The United States government, in collaboration with the Federal Republic of Nigeria initiated and completed forfeiture proceedings against certain real property and investment funds located in Maryland and Massachusetts against the former governor which resulted in the net forfeiture to the Government of United States of America totalling the sum of $954,807.40.
Following the court order, the FRN and the USA have negotiated and finalized the terms of the asset return agreement.
It is worthy to note that in line with the terms of this agreement, Mr President has already approved the expected sum to be utilised for the implementation of a health centre project for the benefit of the people of Bayelsa state and to be monitored by the civil society organisations and the federal government, through the federal ministry of justice.?
Alamieyeseigha was Governor of Bayelsa state from 29 May 1999 to December 9, 2005. He died in October 2015 at the age of 62.

Carlo hails Benzema and defends decision to bench Modric.
Carlo Ancelotti saluted "complete" Karim Benzema after the Real Madrid captain became the club'ssecond-highest LaLiga scorer of all time.
The striker struck twice from the penalty spot in Wednesday'scommanding 4-0 win over bottom side Elche, taking hisSpanish top-flight tally for the club to 230 goals – surpassing Raul's 228–with only Cristiano Ronaldo netting more on 311.
Marco Asensio and Luka Modric were also on target as Ancelotti's side closed the gap on league leaders Barcelona to eight points.
And the Italian paid tribute to his in-form number nine, who has now been directly involved in 15 goals in his last 14 appearances for Madrid (12 goals, three assists).
"Karim is not just a striker," the Italian said."He is very complete, he combines well – today especially with Rodrygo. He is always ready in the area and helps us a lot in possession.
"His career is fantastic and hopefully he can continue. Real Madrid wants him at this level.
Every game is good to gain confidence. When you win 3-0 and relax, there can be problems and I don't want it. The moment is good. We must maintain this dynamic of concentration and commitment."
Ancelotti alsodefended his decision to bench Modric, who completed the rout with a wonderful strike 10 minutes from time, as Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde comprised Madrid's three-man midfield.
The head coach highlighted the importance of rotation with his squad aiming to chase down Barca, whilea blockbuster Champions League last-16 tie with Liverpool is also on the horizon.
"Modric is untouchable for me and for everyone. Everyone is important, and I have total confidence in everyone," Ancelotti said."I have to rotate because it's a very demanding season.
"The statistics saythat [Toni] Kroos scored against[Athletic] Bilbao when coming off the bench [in last month's 2-0 win]and that, today, Modric has scored coming off the bench. From there, they can contribute goals."
