Beef Stew
Nights are getting colder so making something easy that is nice and warm and yummy is hard. So here is something to help you out!
Beef Stew, very easy, takes a bit longer depending on the cut of beef you use. The easiest way to check is to taste :)
So here is an easy stew you can make for the whole family
PS... I have an extremely vocal cat, and he loves being annoying me when I am trying to shoot so that is where the shut-ups come from
Ingredients:
Oil
2 Medium Onions
2 Small Green Peppers
250g Packet of Button Mushrooms
4 Large Carrots
Garlic to taste
Mild Peppadews to taste
1 Block Beef Stock
7 Small potatoes cut in quarters or smaller
Beef Stew Meat - 800g - 1kg
Wine - lots (more or less a glass or to taste)
1 Large spritzer (Optional but highly recommended)
Method:
Take a large pot and put some oil in and let it heat up
Add onions, green pepper, and mushrooms and fry until mushrooms are soft and onions light brown - stir often
Put the mixture in a separate bowl and leave the oil behind
Add the meat and fry until they are nice and brown
Add the mixture back to the meat
Dissolve the beef stock cube in some boiling water, add to pot
Add Garlic and Peppadews
Add boiling water until pot is almost full
Simmer on low heat for 30 min to let meat soften
Add potatoes, carrots, salt, and spices
Let simmer on medium heat for another 30 min
Thicken sauce with cornflower or Bisto
ENJOY!
Serve with Rice or Pasta of your choice

Mince & Bacon Pasta
#Pasta #Cooking #Baking
Look! Steve made it shorter :)
Going forward my videos will be shorter, lol, I apparently talk too much
This is a complete "moerby" recipe and nothing is written in stone. But I suggest watching the whole video to see exactly how I make this and how much of what I put in.
I really tried to get the ingredients qty as close as possible, but as I said, you can add and subtract whatever you want :)
Ingredients: (in no specific order)
This much oil
1x Packet Mushrooms
1x Green pepper
2x Medium Onions
A LOT of Cheese
1 - 2x Teaspoons of Garlic (depends how much you love garlic)
2 - 4x Teaspoons of Mild Peppadews (depends how much you love peppadews)
1/4 Big Jar of Cheese Spread
1x Cup of Tomato Sauce
A Couple of Squirts of Worcestershire Sauce
1/2x Cup Milk (Can add more if you want, then just less water)
1x Tablespoon Apricot Jam
2 - 3 Tablespoons Mayo
200g Bacon
500g Mince
3/4 Packet of noodles
Frozen Peas, Corn, and next time I'll add Carrots (but veggies of your choice or no veggies at all)
2x glasses of Red wine
Herbs and spices of your choice
5 - 7 eggs (I used Jumbo eggs... with double yolks :))
Method: (after each step, - Take a sip of wine)
- Fry Mushrooms, Onions, and Green pepper together until golden brown, soft, and squishy
- Put the fried mixture in a bowl separate
- Brown Mince, Add Bacon
- Add other glass of Wine
- Add the fried mixture back
- Make the sauce - Add all the sauce ingredients in a jug, add water, and stir stir stir (add your herbs and spices to the sauce and not the meat)
- Add the sauce to your pot
- add your veggies
- Cook your pasta and let your meat pot simmer for about 15 min
- Put your noodles and mince mixture together on one pot
- Whisk eggs together
- Add a handful of cheese to the eggs
- Add the eggs into the pot while stirring
- Put this mixture into an oven dish
- Add a lot of cheese on top
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 20 - 30 min
(Until cheese is golden brown and eggs are cooked)
ENJOY!!!

Cheese Scones
Delicious Fluffy Cheese Scones
This recipe was my grandmother's recipe. It is a lovely fluffy scone.
I don't really eat scones, because they are usually quite dry, but this recipe is nice and moist and fluffy and just yummy over the moon
Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 Cups Flour
1 extra cup flour (to use if your dough is too soft)
1 Tbs Baking powder
2ml Salt
2 Tbs Castor sugar
100g Cheese
50g Extra cheese (to put on top at the end)
125g Butter
1 egg
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1/4 Cup Water
1 Cup of hot Coffee (optional but highly recommended)
Method:
Preheat oven to 200 C
Sift flour, Baking powder, and salt together
Add sugar
Rub butter in until fine
Add Cheese
Mix egg, buttermilk, and water
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture
Pour liquid mixture in and form a soft dough
The dough should not be sticky, so if it is too soft, add a bit of flour
Roll balls the size you want the scones, flatten them a bit
Add cheese on top
Bake for 15 - 25 min*
*Baking time will vary depending on size and the crunchiness you want
