The mood was quite tense due to the torrential downpour and thunder. There was flooding outside the tent. At first, the midday sky was still mostly sunny. However, as the day wore on, rain started to fall along with severe gusts and thunderstorms. The flysheet was unable to stop the precipitation that was falling. Thus, we decided to increase the size of the wooden tent support pillars. We also prepared dinner, which was Beef Rendang, an Indonesian dish, once the rain stopped.
