A helpless, bloody harp seal gets smacked around by a polar bear.
Its so easy to look at this and feel sorry for the seal. And to be honest, death by polar bear is right up there with being burned at the stake or boiled alive - so I don't really blame anyone who does.
Polar bears aren't the type to kill before they eat (just in case that wasn't super obvious) and the suffering of their prey is so far down their list of concerns its basically non existent.

Mungaich group Peacock spiders can be glorious when in full sunshine
The warm sun had him in a great mood and he just kept dancing so i had a quick opportunity to get some footage, youll notice some shadowing towards the end which is unavoidable sometimes when filming in the wild on a windy day.

A coalition of male cheetahs take down a hartebeest in the Maasai Mara.
These cheetahs are known as the fast five, a group of 5 males (two sets of brothers, and an additional lone male) who hunt together to increase their chances of success - in both bringing down and defending their kills.
They will stay together until the end of their lives.
Coalitions are common with cheetahs, male siblings will team up to defend territory from other male groupings, while enjoying the other benefits of their alliance.
The uncommon aspect of this particular group is the size, a coalition of 5 has never been observed before.

Male elephant seal defending his harem from a young upstart.
These males have been fasting for roughly 3-4 months at this point- shedding up to 40% of their body mass.
They do this every mating season. In order to defend their females from opportunistic betas, they must remain on the beach at all times.
