Illowa Irregulars are proud to reintroduce an exciting new long-range shooting competition - the Long-Range Buffalo Shoot. We're one of the few clubs whose Buffalo Shoots use reactive targets - reactive in the sense that they fall over when hit. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary and have the big-bore Buffalo guns with calibers ranging from 38-55 up to 45-110, come on over for one of our shoots. No gas checks allowed.

The State Record Stage is adapted from the more well-known World Record Stage, but with changes to target distance and gun order, and limited to one attempt only - during the match. While only Illinois residents can set a State Record, everyone is eligible to set a Club Record. This video shows Lady Leia recording the fastest time shot on the inaugural use of the State Record Stage at the 2023 Illinois State Championship in the Lady Wrangler category – 26.32 seconds, earning her both the State and Club Records. #shorts

I made this video for use as background during our Awards Banquet social and dinner. It is comprised mostly of photographs and a few videos taken Friday and Saturday during the match and on the Celebration Belle Riverboat Dinner Cruise. Since it was made only for use at the banquet, it doesn't contain some of the elements typically included in my YouTube videos. I just set it to play as a loop for about an hour or so before our program started. I'll publish a more comprehensive video in a few days.

This is a simple, quiet video of unique Mississippi river event – a Viking Riverboat Cruise Ship passing through the lock at Lock and Dam 15 at the Rock Island Arsenal Army Base in Rock Island Illinois, and under the Government Bridge connecting Davenport Iowa and Rock Island, Illinois. What makes this lock unique is that it is located under a two-deck iron and steel bridge. The challenge here is that many ships, including this Viking ship, are too tall to pass under the bridge which means the bridge must open to allow the ship to move through the lock. However, unlike the more well-known draw bridge, which rises vertically, the government bridge is a turnstile-type, or swing bridge, that rotates 90 degrees to allow the boat to pass.

This is my last video leading up to the 2023 Illinois State Cowboy Action Shooting Championship. I also included about 90 seconds of Mounted Cowboy Action Shooting from the Clinton County (IA) Fair two weeks ago.

Hello from Camden Mills, and more specifically from our newly rebuilt Bay 9 – which we’ve named Will Dunn’s Blacksmith Shop. This video is a photo diary of the work to tear down and rebuild our Stage 9. The first photo was taken on April 18 with the last on June 23. If you look closely, you can see how the weather changed between mid-April and late June. Thanks to everyone who helped, many of whom were captured in a photo or two, but there were a few others who escaped the camera. Particular thanks to Count Sandor for spearheading and leading the project and doing a lot of work behind the scenes. Come out and help us break in our newest stage at the upcoming Illinois State Championship scheduled from Aug 18 – 20, 2023. Check our website for registration information: www.illowairregulars.com. This is my (unofficial) SASS 2022 National Championship – Land Run highlight video. My hope is that this video provides those that attended an opportunity to relive it in some small way and gives those that weren’t able to attend a sense of what it was like. This video a bit longer than normal coming in at about 35 minutes. I included a time stamp for each section just after the introduction (at about the 6 min 43 sec mark) which will enable you to skip to any section you like if you wish to do so. Viewing hints: 1.
