ZOOM A Laser Video Magazine Edition 7 October 1993 Laseractive A Special Edition Side 1 and 2
This video is side one and side two of the October 1993 Zoom magazine promo laserdisc for the Pioneer Laseractive CLD-A100. The CLD-A100 was Pioneer's attempt at interactive video and games. Unlike the Phillips CD-i Pioneer had the foresight to create an instant library with their Sega and NEC pac's allowing you to play the entire Sega genesis, Sega CD, Turbo Grafx and Super CD rom 2 libraries. I suspect the hardware prices were too high otherwise the CLD-A100 would have made a much bigger impact at the time.

Malice - Xbox playthrough
This one is pretty fun. Malice gradually ups the difficulty as you progress as all good games should. Malice is very forgiving with falls, resetting you nearby until you run out of life. If you manage to die you are dropped in a special level. I will probably show that off after I complete the game. This is certainly not a hard game. The lava level with the excessive jumps seemed to have some slow down at the same part of the map. I have noticed some strange lighting bugs that some times appear and do not go away until the xbox is completely turned off. Going to the menu and loading the game does not fix the lighting issue. I was pretty disappointed with the Malice mecha. I was hoping for a giant robot fight rather than the final boss we got. There was not much of an ending and the credits had to be played through the menu. Not a big fan of the Malice's voice but it was a fun game overall. I will likely play through it again some time in the future. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.

Space Hulk vengeance of the Blood Angels - Classic Missions 3DO playthrough No Commentary
These missions are getting tougher.
In the mission "The Perimeter" I believe there is a bug. If you complete all of the objectives with all terminators alive the map will not end. If you allow one to die at that point the mission will still not end. If you allow one terminator to die and then complete all parameters the mission ends in success. I have included two playthroughs of this mission one where everyone in in place and survives and I quit the mission and one where I send Matthius to his death and the map ends as it should.
"Tech support" is the greatest name for a mission. "Tech support" is pretty tedious right up until that final withdraw. Just wait for the famous missions.
"Honour on Trial" Everyone has to get out alive in this one. Getting the left and right halls locked down took a few tries but once I got that the rest were able to pile in to the larger main hall and blow away anything that moved in a group. The finish area line up with the halls so getting the last two in place was not nearly as bad as "Tech Support".
Purify. No terminators lost.
Swarm. No terminators lost.
Baneful foe. No terminators lost.
The Perimeter. No terminators lost and then one lost to complete the map.
Tech Support. No terminators lost.
Honour on Trial. No terminators lost.

Simple missions that let you try out the controls.
Playstation Demo Disc SCUS 94594
The Legend of Dragoon and Threads of Fate both had me interested in the story and the game play was enjoyable. Threads of fate in particular, transforming in to monsters has me very interested in playing the full game. The Skateboarding games were pretty entertaining as well if for nothing else other than the spills. MediEvil II and Toomba had points where I was a bit confused but seemed like a fun games as well. I even enjoyed the golf game once I figured out how the swing slider worked. WWF Smackdown and Starwars jedi power battles were somewhat difficult. WWF Smackdown seemed unresponsive so I ended up resorting to button mashing and It was tough controlling the directions in Jedi Power battles. Once you start an attack you are locked in to that direction until the attack finishes. I was having trouble with the slow response to the D pad trying to change direction and then attacking only to find I am still aiming the wrong way. I am not big on cart games so I can not really say much about CTR and Speed Punks though I felt like CTR was easier to control and stay on the track than Speed Punks. Overall this is a great demo disc. The legend of Dragoon and Threads of fate were the stand outs for me but there is a nice variety of games on this disc. The Playstation clothing line advert is a great window in to the time. Did you own any Playstation clothing?

Based on the later G.I. JOE series 2 this is another 4 player game from Konami. Every shot fired is a button press. There is a power up that allows you to hold down the fire button to shoot but it did not seem to come up very often.

Aliens Vs Predator Extinction - Marine campaign
Game start up, intro, menu.
Marine Mission 1

Nice tutorial.
Marine Mission 2
16:00
This mission was a little more challenging than the first one. Once I figured out the route it was not difficult to finish. The main issue I ran in to after learning the route was trying to meet one of the optional goals to get the mission complete in under 23 minutes. I was spending a lot of time healing up in some of the early attempts and later on I was running through too quickly picking up a lot of enemies.
Marine Mission 3
36:29
This mission is simple enough unless you want to complete the optional missions. If you are looking to finish all of the optional missions then this is an escort mission. The Aliens push back pretty hard at several points in the map. There were also three predators hanging out with one of their machines. Near the end I was being very careful as I had lost Mr. Hirsch near the end in several previous attempts.
Marine Mission 4
1:04:34
Earning the completion medal for this one was pretty tough. There were a variety of predators in this mission. The Stalker predators that can take out your marines from a distance unseen were the worst of them. The optional mission takes you out of the way to find an armless synthetic who reveals the location of the device you are after. Usually I take the entire group out to the synth objective but the stray marine that wandered off in that direction worked out and saved time. The device is well guarded by every kind of predator and various predator devices. Clearing a path to the device and grabbing it quick worked out well.
Marine Mission 5
1:22:59
On my initial playthrough it took me some time to find the hive. I did not spot the cave or even realize that was a thing in this game at the time. The twists and turns needed to get to the hive from the secondary objective clearing out the cultists compound is time consuming. There was a lot of wrangling of stray marines but I ended up finishing within the time limit for a full completion.
Marine Mission 6
2:01:33
This mission was pretty tough to complete. I took out the alien Queens first just to keep the aliens off of my back. Once the queens are gone you might have a few aliens wandering the map but that is pretty much it for the aliens. If you do not kill the queens you will have aliens on your tail through the rest of the map.
In my first playthrough of this map I recall seeing those mechs on the list and ordering one up. It tore through aliens and most predators fast. I upgraded it and it was like a walking A-10. Then I hit the first AA gun, blew it away and that swarm of predators slaughtered my squad. Through several playthroughs I have found the SADAR Marines and upgraded Smart gunners can get things done. It is also important to have a synth to detect the stalker predators.
Stalkers will run around your marines and kill them slowly and there is not much you can do but run around trying to find them. Once I rebuilt the squad it was time to navigate the caves. The tight areas cause some wanderers so I had to keep an eye out for stragglers. On the other side to the far right i located delta. I have no idea why Delta killed my synth. They run fast so I was just sending him over to grab Delta Squad so I could move on. The next gun on the hill to the right can pull in a lot of predators if you hang around.
I lost a few wanderers on that gun trying to get away fast but the next Air drop location was close. After rebuilding a bit i sent most of the squad south to take care of the last two guns. The final gun always gives me trouble but the SADAR Marines made quick work of the sentry's and final AA gun. I had a lot of trouble getting this map time down while also killing the queens. I am glad I did not give up on the completion medal for thus map.
Marine Mission 7
2:47:51
This mission was pretty tough to complete all objectives within the 45 minute time limit. There are two entrances to the Predator base. If you cover the closest to the start atmospheric processor you can keep the Predators in check while you grab the rest of the atmo processors.
There are four atmo processors. To the north of the third atmo processor is a group of predators. To save time I did not bother with them or the last processor. Regrouping I worked my way to the center of the base. I lost a lot of time and men getting to that central room. I had a synth pick up the predator artifact which unlocks the Predator base generator full of Aliens. The synth ran it to the start area to complete the optional objective.
The synthetics run pretty fast so it did not take too much time to deliver the artifact. I was able to replenish my team with synths without too much trouble as well. They were surprisingly effective against the aliens. It seems like the company could have put more than two seconds on the timer for the bomb. That was pretty cold.

Thunder in Paradise Philips CD-i
Thunder in Paradise for the Philips CD-i is an Interactive episode of the show. Playing this with a remote is pretty much impossible. Playing is with a controller is much better but still pretty tough. I have never seen any of the light guns for the CD-i so that is out. The best way to play is using the CD-i mouse. It does not help much on the boat radar game but the shooting part makes i much better. Even at max movement speed the mouse moves pretty slow so it is tricky on some of those shots that pop up on opposite sides of the screen. The database that pops up mid game was a little tough to navigate too on max speed. There are lots of loser and winner clips depending on how well you are doing throughout the game. There is a good and bad end as well. This playthrough shows the good ending. I like the idea behind this game/episode. If there are more games similar to this for other shows I will seek them out. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.

Judge Dredd Dredd Vs Death - XBOX
I do not recall playing this game for long when I purchased it many years ago. I enjoyed plaything through this game a lot right up until the underworld level. Conserving ammo is not something I want to ever do in any game. Aside from that I recomend this game. There are usually a couple of different routes you can take. Nothing major just short paths that take you to the same place. Having the choice to arrest or execute is fun. You can shoot the guns out of enemies hands and they will usually surrender. There are a few that will run and grab the gun or another weapon so you have to keep an eye on them. The guns are all pretty fun. The default lawgiver is great so i ended up using it for most of the game. The final level is full of ammo and weapons. Why couldn't all of the levels have weapons with 15 magazines full of ammo? The graphics are not amazing but I think the environment looks like a Dredd game should. This video is the complete story playthrough. There are two more modes I need to try but that will be another video. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.

Sega Saturn Guardian Heroes Han playthrough no commentary
This game is the reason I bought a Sega Saturn. This is a playthrough of Han getting the sword upgrade route and 99 Continues. In order to get the 99 continues on hard The player has to die and give up. Leveling as much as possible in the burning inn gives you a chance to enter some additional points in to the players stats once you change the skill to hard and continue the game. If you want to skip to the actual playthrough it starts at 12:54.
This gameplay was captured from a Sega Saturn Model MK-80000A through S-video cables.
