Post note: (After break in “204” rounds I re tested the trigger and now it is 5 1/4 lbs. I have heard that they will get better with use!) Is the Taurus G3c better than its predecessor the G2c ? Well with the addition of front slide serrations, better sights that are compatible with Glock , and a far better trigger I would submit that the G3c Is absolutely a far better Pistol than the previous G2c. It has been a long time since I have been this impressed with a pistol. My interest in it is not just limited to the cheaper price, but the better fit, finish and feel. the recoil is so tame that you can just rip off rounds and stay on target with little effort from the shooters perspective. It's very easy to carry due to its smaller size and with 13 rounds of 9mm it's difficult for people to argue that it would be a bad choice for daily carry. Building a custom PDW gives the end user the ability to mold the firearm into the requirements that are not only needed but essential to either getting off the X of an engagement or the greater ability to fall back to a plan B. In any case the options you need in this possible predicament can be articulated through a build of your choice knowing all the possible constraints that your daily environment or aggressor may throw at you. Sticking with these core requirements and not settling for less will generally give you an advantage over someone who has not taken this into consideration. There are a lot of people that say that you should only have a few different types of calibers for your firearms. The issues we see these days (August of 2020) with that logic is that when there is a run on ammo and you can't find the few calibers that you've chosen; you find that keeping up on live fire training gets not only hard to do but expensive as well. Enter the odd ball cartridges. Now that 40 S&W, 357 SIG, and 32 ACP have lost popularity with the masses, one may notice that those calibers are the only ones still on the shelf. It is my humble advice that if you have the means to puck up a firearm that was originally intended for 40 S&W . That way you cam buy a 9mm, and 357 SIG barrel, recoil spring, and cover a few more bases and still be able to find ammunition and to still have the option to train live fire. admittedly it has been a long time since I shot one of my 357 SIG pistols, so when I bought this one the recoil honestly surprised me a bit, but after knocking the rust off it was hard not to smile after every round of shooting it. ((Important info)) The gas port was expanded to .088" gas valve low: .062" gas valve medium: .075" gas valve high: .088" This gave the extraction of brass to the 3-4 o'clock position.
