Eric Bland’s baloney about what his two jurors say is irrelevant. The issue is that Clerk of the Court Becky Hill lied to Judge Newman about a Facebook post Hill alleged that she saw. Had Judge Newman, the Prosecution or AG Wilson’s office done their jobs Becky Hill’s lie would have been exposed immediately. A mistrial would have been declared immediately and Alex Murdaugh would not have to carry the enormously prejudicial stigma of a wrongful conviction for the murder of his beloved wife and son. At a new trial, even if they change venues, it will not be possible for Alex Murdaugh to enjoy the presumption of innocence - which he is entitled to under our Constitution.
