Hey guys, In this video I do a brief overview of how I set up my first spoilboard on my 5' x 10' Avid CNC Router. I go over what I chose style wise (MFT 20 mm benchdog holes) and an accident I had with my 2.5" facing bit and why it is awesome! Shout out to @Jaybates for the spoilboard mounting suggestion as well as the carbide flattening bit.

I was asked to make a gift that the client had 50% designed out. I took it and made some suggestions and here is the final project. Made out of Cherry, Poplar, and Knotty Alder woods. Cut and etched on the CNC in batches to save time and money. What can I help you design and build?

A rundown of my backstory, how I can add value and future goals.

Brief description of two types of cutting options with the CNC. The first is stepping and the second in ramping. Both are good in different situations but stepping allows your feed rate (speed the machine is moving in a particular direction) to be higher which reduces machine time. Ramping is good for higher precision needs but is slower.
