LR Podcast: The Totalitarian Assault Continues
The totalitarian assault on our human rights continues. The WHO and several countries are continuing their march towards totalitarianism. The WHO wants to dictate what we can do with our bodies, and several countries are attempting to control what we can see and hear. It's to the point where countries like Australia can no longer be thought of as free countries in the way we've formerly understood the concept.

Civil War (2024) Review
The new movie “Civil War” has been widely anticipated for months now. It comes in an election year to an America that is heavily divided in real life. It's written and directed by Alex Garland and stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, and Cailee Spaeny. It takes place in a dystopian America of the near future. It's a story about a group of war journalists covering a second American Civil War.
All in all, Civil War is worth watching, but if you're looking for a partisan fight, this movie will disappoint. It completely avoids politics and ideology thus, it's safe for conservatives worried the film would be a work of Hollywood propaganda. If you're looking for a thought provoking, cautionary tale against going down that dark road that leads to a second, hot civil war, it does the job. Current and former members of the US military might take issue with the violations of the laws of land warfare committed by professional soldiers in parts. Mainly, it's a human drama about how different people react in extraordinary circumstances.

LR Podcast: Easter Message 2024
Reconciliation and forgiveness are the cornerstones of the Christian faith. There is no point to Christianity without grace. Jesus died to earn us that grace. The reward to us for his ultimate sacrifice was the promise of God’s mercy. When we extend forgiveness to those who hurt us, we become like God. Easter is the celebration of the moment that the promise of reconciliation was sealed by Him.

LR Podcast: Your Weekly Warning Against Leftism
Yet another story of Leftists acting badly is in the news. UC Berkley is being criticized for their handling of another outburst of antisemitism on campus. One student reported being choked, another was spit at during a pro-Israel event. This is the latest in a string of anti-Israel protests turned violent. The variable morality of cultural Marxism is a root cause.

Dystopic Journal, "...Every picture has been repainted..."
(aka: Fake Artificial Reality)
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
―George Orwell,1984
Google has put out what some have deemed a "racist" AI, one that will not depict white people in any sort of positive light and has created some absurdly inaccurate depictions of people, especially historical figures. This is DEI gone wild. This, we can assume, it the reality that it's programmers wish were the case. Google, though Gemini AI, seems to be doing just what Big Brother's INGSOC party did in the novel 1984, rewrite not just history, but reality to suit its agenda.

LR Podcast: Border Crisis Response
When Republicans say, "border security" Democrats hear "immigration reform."
Democrats are finally waking up to the fact that America has an illegal immigration crisis. The final straw will be when Democrat voters finally make the logical leap from migrant crisis to border crisis. Democrats in office have been framing the problem as one of housing and processing illegal immigrants that are already here, not in terms of keeping them from entering the country in the first place. Only then will they support genuine border security like that covered in HR2, which has already passed the House.

LR Podcast: Biden's Bad Day.
"Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,"That was the conclusion made by Special Council Robert Hur on why President Biden would not be charged with knowingly possessing classified material. That of course, left the President in an awkward position. Ethier go along with the Special Council's findings and admit he's a forgetful old man or contest the excuse the report provides for him and admit he ought to stand trial for the crime of mishandling classified material. This may be the end of the Biden Presidency. For the Republicans, the campaign ads practically write themselves.

For Trump or Against Biden
Trump beat Bidan in a recent CNN poll. What the poll showed is that Republicans, of course, don't like Biden, but nor do many Democrats. Most Democrats cited in the poll said they were voting against Trump rather than for Joe Biden. Most of Trump's supporters though, were affectively voting for Trump rather than against Biden.
For her part, Nikki Haley also beat Biden in the poll, but most of her supporters said they were voting against Biden rather than for her.

Things that won't happen in 2024
Five Things That Won’t Happen in 2024:
An uncontested presidential election. Whichever side loses the 2024 election will say it was stolen.
An impeached Biden convicted in the Senate. The House may not even impeach Joe Biden, despite the fact there’s far more cause to impeach him than there was to impeach Trump either time. Even if they do, few if any Democrats will vote to remove him.
A national news media providing unbiased reporting. We have a better chance seeing Bigfoot ride a dinosaur down 5th Ave than any of the legacy news media adopting non-biased reporting standards.
A Conservative government anywhere in the English-speaking world doing anything very well…conservative. Big “C” Conservatives are really good at only one thing– disappointing small “c” conservatives.
Disney putting out a truly non-woke, family friendly entertainment product. Nothing bearing the Disney name will cater to traditional family values, and unfortunately this may also extend to any of their properties, namely Marvel or Star Wars.

LR Podcast: Christmas Message, 2023
We've just waited through three weeks of Advent. Imagine waiting though three centuries, or three millennia, as our pre-Christian brother and sisters did. Over 2023 years ago, a savior was born.
...A savior. People today tend to think of Christianity, the Bible, as a rulebook, a mere list of things they can't do. But we as Christians don't celebrate on Christmas Day the birth of a rule book, or a rule giver, we celebrate the coming of a SAVIOR.
Merry Christmas!

LR Podcast: The Disturbing Effects of Cultural Marxism
Young Americans give a frightening response to a poll question about Israel's right to exist. This shows how pervasive cultural Marxism has become in our society. This article from Just the News is an excellent illustration of how Cultural Marxism leads to support for deeply immoral causes, like that of Hamas.

The Subjective Morality of the Left (Essay)
Marxism, and all its offshoots, defies human nature. Because of this, there is no way to achieve the Leftist's fantasized equality of outcome without force. All Marxists governments must therefore engage in authoritarianism, if not totalitarianism. A central tenant, and its main selling point is the oppressor vs oppressed narrative, in which all groups oppress any others they are more powerful then. When the idea of the class struggle did not catch on in the West, the Marxists sought out other differences between groups to shoehorned into the oppressor vs. oppressed dichotomy. To that end, the cultural Marxists have sought out every conceivable way in which groups of people can be divided against themselves. Their strategy is literally divide and conquer.
