Playing GoG Cyberpunk 2077 on Arch Linux with Lutris - DWM + Arch Linux Challenge Part 2 Follow me on Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/atericparker In this video I test out linux gaming using Arch Linux, DWM and Lutris to play Cyberpunk 2077, I was able to get it running, but couldn't figure out how to enable NVAPI / RTX. Unfortunately that means no DXR ray tracing or DLSS. Next up I'm going to tackle basic productivity in Linux. For my desktop environment I'm using the dynamic window manager (DWM) from https://suckless.org/ with st (suckless terminal), and dmenu which is often used with various tiling window managers. I'm using the Arch Linux distro and will also install Gentoo out of interest at some point. Arch Linux is an extremely customization lightweight Linux distribution which follows a KISS (keep it simple stupid) philosophy. Combined with a tiling window manager, it makes an excellent enthusiast linux setup. I personally like the pragmatic ideology of Arch where they allow proprietary software in the repos if it is likely to be useful. Personally I've tried several arch linux desktop environments and couldn't decide on a best one (they were all quite mediocre) so this time I'm using a customized window manager. I've used BSPWM before, but have overall found the experience with DWM more satisfying. DOJ Shuts down MASSIVE $20 Million Content ID Fraud Scheme MediaMuv. For the first time in YouTube history, the US department of justice has stepped in and shut down a massive YouTube Content ID scam operating as MediaMuv which had attracted significant online attention. Follow me on Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/atericparker A company known as MediaMuv based in Florida & Arizona had been adding fraudulent content ID references for prominent artists in the Latin America region for profit. Recently the department of justice has gotten involved in this fraud scheme, where music artists were not paid anything for their work. A simple search of #mediamuv on twitter reveals numerous complaints of dissatisfied creators having false claims. HelloSystem | Free & Open Source FreeBSD based MacOS alternative (0.7). A free and open source operating system inspired by Apple MacOS, with some features inspired by the classic MacOS. It is a free (as in freedom) operating system with source code available, using KWIN & X11 for the GUI instead of Quartz Compositor. If they are able to achieve their goals, I could see this becoming an alternative to Hackintosh systems which will become impossible as Apple fully transitions to ARM (also called Apple Silicon). It's not yet as user friendly as macOS, but I could see it becoming a serious contender in a few years if development continues. A lot of GNU / Linux software already runs because free & open source software can easily be re-compiled for other operating systems. It is also possible because HelloSystem is based on a FreeBSD core, to run Linux software directly through linuxulator, which is helpful because BSDs are not used on the desktop a-lot. It would be interesting to see the HelloDesktop environment ported to GNU / Linux, with some more polish it could be a serious contender, as it runs fast and efficiently. This FAKE Fortnite Skin Changer Virus installed itself into System32? Today I look at Galaxy Swapper, a fake fortnite skin swapper that claims to be able to give you free skins in fortnite, but is a total scam that steals your session cookies and hijacks a YouTube channel if you have one. Follow me on Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/atericparker Fortnite skin swapper's / changers are inherently dangerous because they require administrator access to your computer, and are made by questionable third parties. This file is clearly a virus that is quite persistent, hiding itself on your computer in the C:\windows\system32 folder. System32 is a folder containing essential windows libraries and executables, not a virus despite what some trolls on sites like 4chan try to claim. However in this case a virus has installed itself into system32, which shocked me. This video was created to educate and inform about the risks of malware. I strongly discourage anyone from running any type of game hacks or cracks, or installing a skin changer. These files are very high risk, and can lead to malware infections. Stealer malware such as this one can also compromise banking and other important access on your computer. Trying Ubuntu ARM on VMWare Fusion on the M1 Max + x86 Xubuntu QEMU nested virtualization Today I'm trying out VMWare Fusion's beta for Apple silicon on the new Apple M1 Max MacBook Pro 2021. VMware Fusion M1 Beta: https://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2021/09/fusion-for-m1-public-tech-preview-now-available.html Follow me on Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/atericparker I install Ubuntu Linux's ARM version and then proceed to install emulated Xubuntu X86 under the m1 mac using QEMU under vmware fusion. I'm going to try natively emulating under QEMU another time, which should yield somewhat better performance. Most open source GNU / Linux software works as intended such as the GNU Image Manipulation Program also known as GIMP, but snaps do not work. It would probably be a good idea if seriously using Linux on ARM to use a source based distro such as Gentoo. Windows on ARM is not officially supported on VMware but is on parallels. From what I've seen other people try, it does work if you convert the VHD file, or download an ISO from a third party website. I might try that next, and see how it compares with parallels for running Windows 11 ARM on m1 max. Outrageous claims require outrageous evidence and I'm not seeing any. Advice such as "make money on YouTube without making videos" and making money passively watching YouTube videos does not seem to be legitimate. My advice is that if you want to make money online with minimal effort it's a much better use of time to look for undiscovered niches, the only reason to watch any of these losers is if you're looking to make money online by creating videos about finance and need video ideas. Also because of the tags and metadata, when you watch this video, you will probably see advertising for some of these charlatans, maybe teaching you how to make money on YouTube without ads with some affiliate marketing bs. XMR mining is interesting because unlike other PC cryptocurrency mining using a GPU, XMR can be mined using a CPU. A look at fake NordVPN cracks, fake ProtonVPN & other popular VPNs such as IPVanish crakced versions. Many YouTube videos have popped up promising free versions of VPNs, which is impossible because VPNs are server side authenticated. Don't download any cracked VPN free versions, whether for PC or Android, or as we saw with a fake version that was a Windows exe, but claimed to be an APK. I imagine that many of them are just trying to add keywords like ProtonVPN cracked apk for SEO reasons, and then distribute Windows 10 malware. Most of these videos are uploaded automatically, because when you install this virus it hijacks your YouTube channel and uploads various payloads, including these free NordVPN scams, and other fake software, such as Roblox & Grand Theft Auto V hacks. After watching @Dave's Garage latest video I was curious if XP 64 bit had the 64 bit version of pinball and low and behold it did. As far as I can tell this is a normal 64 bit exe that is otherwise the same as the 32 bit version. Task manager confirms that it is running in 64 bit mode.
