Slow is fast and fast is slow. I learned this saying when at an Appleseed shoot. It’s also relevant to the Grow Model Food System. You should get started as quickly as you can but you should be very deliberate about how your progress. Tonight we will talk about patience and scaling. We will also spend a few minutes talking about Andrew Torba's recent post. Lastly I will give you the state of the Community and the progress we are making with course materials. Our vision is of a thriving network of self-sustainable homesteaders and hyper-local small-scale producers who are actively working towards a more resilient and sustainable food system. We envision communities coming together to share resources and knowledge, supporting each other in our efforts to grow healthy, nutritious food using natural and environmentally friendly practices.
By empowering individuals and families to become producers of their own food, we strive to reduce dependency on the handful of entities that control the worlds food supply while increasing access to fresh, locally grown produce.
Our weekly live radio show and podcast serve to introduce families to the idea of sourcing and producing food at scale.http://radio.homesteadgrown.org
Our online community is there to educate, support and encourage individuals and families as they work through our Grow Model Food System.http://community.homesteadgrown.org
