Protect your Cannabis Plants Against Grasshoppers & other Insects!
Unsurprisingly, this topic relates to those who grow cannabis plants outdoors.
If you have a problem with grasshoppers indoors, that suggests your home is in desperate need of a good clean!
There are actually 11 species of grasshopper in the UK, and perhaps a whole lot more in your country, though perhaps a lot of you don’t really want or need to know such a fact, you just want to know how to stop them from feasting on your cannabis plants.
So, what are your options?
You can use harsh chemical pesticides.
You can use non-chemical pesticides.
You can introduce other predators that eat grasshoppers.
You can change the growing environment.
If you want to use harsh chemical pesticides, we can’t stop you, but remember that these pesticides don’t just kill grasshoppers, they kill all bugs, and some of them are great for the soil.
In addition, your cannabis plants will absorb much of these chemicals, and therefore so will you.
If you mess with the ecosystem in your garden, you could create further problems down the line.
Consider using neem oil instead. This is a natural compound and doesn’t kill bugs and insects, including grasshoppers, it repels them, which is much nicer for all concerned.
One of the biggest predators for grasshoppers is birds, so one of the most eco-friendly ways of controlling grasshoppers is to encourage birds into your garden, or wherever you are growing your cannabis plants outdoors.
Put out some birdboxes, birdfeeders, and make sure there are some suitable perches near your plants.
Old tree branches are perfect for this.
Spiders also love grasshoppers, and they also love well mulched ground.
If you have a good layer of mulch around your cannabis plants, not only will this help to stop the soil from drying out, but it will also encourage spiders, who will then control your grasshopper population.
You can consider companion plants such as lavender, chamomile, basil and dill which will attract spiders, or, if you have the time and inclination, a few chickens or guinea fowl could help.
In return for them having the run-around, not only will they eat the grasshoppers, they’ll fertilise the soil!
That seems like a pretty fair exchange!
But what do you say? Do you have any tips to share with us all, let us know in the comment section below.

Does China hold the secret to the origins of Cannabis?!?
Does China hold the secret to the origins of cannabis… possibly?
Controversial or what?
Could it be that cannabis doesn’t owe its origins to South Asia, Afghanistan and the Hindu Kush?
Is it the case that all those trivia nuts who frequent bars on quiz night may not be so smart after all?
Well, if you believe a team of researchers from Switzerland and China, it looks like we’ve been looking in the wrong place for the origins of cannabis.
The team have compiled 110 whole genomes of wild and domesticated varieties of the marijuana and hemp plant in both the USA and China and separated the results of their analysis of these plants into four groups.
the way, a genome is the chemical code for what we call DNA.
The results revealed that these two types of the plant in China were separated from a basal cannabis plant roughly 12,000 years ago.
This basically indicates that it was around then that cannabis plants became ‘domesticated’.
More to the point, this timeline coincides with pottery fragments found which date back to the same period in time.
However, when it comes to the first records of cannabis in India, that was not until roughly 3,000 years ago.
Consequently, as with many other species of plant introduced to India by the Chinese, the cannabis plant can also be included.
It is fair to say that the original cannabis plants were likely to be nowhere near as psychoactive, and, in truth, it was only the writings of the famous Greek historian Herodotus around 1,000 BC that any reference to cannabis and the Central Asian steppes was made.
Conversely, the excavation of a burial tomb which dates back to 2,500 BC in western China has revealed the earliest clear evidence of humans using cannabis for its psychoactive properties.
Wooden fragments and burnt stones from pots in the tomb showed the chemical signature of cannabis, specifically that with a high amount of THC.
However, it was unlikely that cannabis was smoked in the same way it is today. More likely, it would have been burnt like incense in an enclosed space to release vapours.
Now this isn’t by any means fact, but it is based on scientific research, but who knows, perhaps your own studies have an entirely different argument, so let us all know about it in the comment section below.

Using Enzymes to improve Cannabis Production!
Cannabis and the role of enzymes
Ready for a complex science or botany lesson?
Thought not!
How about a quick summary of what an enzyme is?
We might as well as without knowing what an enzyme is, it’s difficult to understand how they can help cannabis plants.
Enzymes either give chemical reactions a helping hand, or they enable chemical reactions to take place.
However, once the enzyme has done its bit, it doesn’t become part of the final product, it just goes back to being an enzyme.
As an example, enzymes help us break down the food we eat into more usable stuff, like sugars, vitamins, minerals, but once the job has been done, the enzymes remain and start all over again with new food when we eat.
Thus, in soil there are enzymes which help break down nutrients so that plants can absorb them through their roots.
They’re pretty smart, as they also react with the roots of the cannabis plant and remove any dead root cells that would restrict the absorption of nutrients.
This process can be helped with the introduction of enzymes into the soil, which you can either buy from a shop, or easily make yourself.
To make your own liquid enzyme solution, just add molasses, grated vegetables and fresh water into a sealed container, mix well, place the container in a dark, cool and dry place and leave to let the magic happen.
You should use a ratio of 1 to 3 to 10 of molasses to vegetables to fresh water.
Ideally the container should be made of plastic as you need to release any gases that are expelled as the mixture ferments once a week. If you’re like us, you might forget one week, and you don’t want a glass bottle exploding in the middle of the night, scaring you half to death!
After about three months, the enzyme solution should smell of vinegar and should be dark brown in colour.
At this stage, all you need to do is filter the liquid and then you have the perfect enzyme solution to add to your plants.
You can’t ‘overenzyme’ your soil, but you don’t need to use the solution every time you water your plants. The best time to start using it is when the plant starts flowering and this should become part of your feeding routine.
Make sure the soil doesn’t get too hot or too acidic or alkali. As the best pH level for your cannabis plant is between 6 and 7, this is ideal for enzymes as they thrive in a pH between 6 and 8.
There, that wasn’t so complicated and aren’t you glad we didn’t delve deeply into the science side!

How to Hide the Fact that You're High!
What’s the best way to hide the fact you are high?
As smoking cannabis becomes more socially acceptable, the times when getting caught when you’re stoned could be a major problem become fewer.
That doesn’t mean that you’ll never find yourself in such a predicament, so as the motto of stoned boy scouts suggests, - “Be prepared”.
If your parents have a happy knack of popping over unannounced and they disapprove of drugs, whatever their class, then do you want your home smelling like a café in Amsterdam all the time?
Consider smoking your weed next to a fully open window, though perhaps not if you live next door to a police station.
When there’s a knock at the door, before answering it, start running the shower or bath, and then invite your guests in, but explain you were just about to take a bath or shower as you stink after a long day at work if you know they disapprove of cannabis use.
Use that escape route and first off, drink a pint of water, as being fully hydrated will help to reduce the ‘symptoms’.
Thoroughly scrub up and wash away those pesky terpenes that have a habit of clinging to your skin and hair.
Don’t overdo the cologne or deodorant, as that can easily give the game away, but don’t forget to brush your teeth, scrape your tongue, and have a good gargle and rinse with a strong mouthwash.
Chewing some gum will do no harm either and for goodness’ sake don’t put your dope-smelling clothes back on, shove them in a bin liner to avoid the smell of cannabis escaping.
Don’t forget those bloodshot eyes either.
There are some great eyedrops out there that can sort that out for you in just a minute or two.
And the last job is to have another pint of water.
Having taken care of the physical side of things, there’s something else that could give away the fact you’ve been smoking cannabis and are high.
You, and your behavior.
That knock on the door can instantly transform how you feel from deeply relaxed to totally paranoid.
Stop for a moment and take a deep breath.
Now just be yourself and don’t overthink your behaviour, but be wary of the obvious giveaways.
Try to concentrate on what your guest is saying and don’t let your mind wander.
Stoned people tend to have a habit of letting their mind wander down the nearest available rabbit hole.
Don’t get involved in deep philosophical debates as, when stoned, we tend to believe that we know the answer to anything and everything when, in reality, we just sound stupid to anyone who isn’t stoned.
If you get struck down by the munchies, don’t disappear off to the kitchen and come back with two triple-decker sandwiches.
Instead, go and fill up a couple of bowls with crisps and peanuts, offer them to your guests first, and for Gods sake don’t open your mouth and consume all the peanuts in one go like a demented pelican.
Last, but not least, depending on what you have just had a hit from, try not to fall asleep in front of your guests.
Not only will that give the game away, it’s also bloody rude!
This is evidently just a brief list of our “suggestions” and we very much look forward to what you guys have to say in the comment section below!

Hydroponic Farming at Home: The Basics Everyone Should Know!
Top-10 Tips for Crowing Cannabis Hydroponically
As the name suggests, water plays a major role in this method of growing cannabis plants.
However, don’t mistakenly believe that your plants are actually grown with the roots and stem submerged in water instead of soil. That won’t work as roots also need access to plenty of oxygen and that’s why plants die if you overwater them when planted in soil.
Hydroponics is more literally translated as ‘without soil’, but there still has to be a substrate, such as perlite, rockwool, clay pebbles or coco coir.
So, why is hydroponics so effective? How do plants grow up to 50% faster and produce yields 50% greater?
The answer is simple – because roots have easy and efficient access to nutrients, so all the plant’s energy goes into growing leaves, stems, flowers, and cannabis buds, rather than into the root system.
So, our first tip is to read up about hydroponics before you decide what growing set-up you want – soil or substrate and water.
There are numerous ways you can create a hydroponic growing system, and if you both understand the system and are good at DIY, then you should be able to concoct something yourself.
If you are new to hydroponics, our next tip would be to invest around $200.00 in a basic hydroponics set-up and once you have mastered the art of growing cannabis this way, you will be better informed as to what you need to do to create a new, larger set-up.
The next tip is to choose your plants wisely. Where some plants are only good for indoor growing and others good for growing outdoors, you also need to choose a hydroponic-friendly variety.
Next, we suggest you do further homework before choosing a hydroponic set-up. Which will suit you best in relation to the space you have available? You have five methods to choose from, so the one you understand the best will be an obvious choice.
There’s deep-water culture, ebb and flow, the drip system, nutrient film system, and the wick system.
Once you decide to go down the hydroponic route, our next six tips relate to the actual growing process.
First, it is important to get your pH level spot-on. You want to aim for between 5.5 and 5.8. This is the optimum pH level for your roots to absorb the maximum of nutrients.
Regularly check the ppm level of your nutrient mix. If you find the PPM level increasing, it means your plants are drinking loads of water, but they aren’t absorbing any nutrients. If this is the case, check your pH level.
Water temperature is also critical, so ensure that this remains at around 20 degrees Celsius.
Getting the right level of nutrients in your water can be tricky, so we recommend buying a hydroponic nutrient solution that will come with fool-proof instructions.
Cleanliness is vital for any hydroponics system and one reason why those who are short on time opt for a soil-based growing system. You should give your trays and tanks a thorough clean once a fortnight.
Last but not least, don’t create a hydroponics set-up in your attic. You may think this is a safe, out-of-the-way location, but if your system springs a leak while you are out, you could come home to find water in your hallway and all your ceilings have collapsed upstairs!
Hydroponics is one of the least talked-about growing methods, but, as we say, it is very productive. If you’ve got any great tips, Then why not share them with us all in the comment section below.

Skunk, Kush and Haze: The Genetic Base for all Modern Cannabis!
Skunk, Kush, and Haze, the Holy Trinity of Cannabis
So where did today’s love of cannabis all begin?
Where was the first recreational cannabis grown and what plants were involved?
And above all else, why are the terms Skunk, Haze and Kush important in the world of cannabis and marijuana.
Skunk, unsurprisingly, got its name from the pungent smell given off from the burn plant, which was often described as being similar to that defensive odour given off by a small black and white animal, and no, we don’t mean a badger!
Skunk reached the United States in the 1970s, at the time of flower power, and its ability to elevates the mood, relax the body, and create a relaxing and peaceful state of mind fitted well with the mood of the time.
It’s average THC level and ability to grow easily in the North American climate made it very popular, almost overnight.
The exact history of the strain is not known, but many attest that Sam the Skunkman created the first generation of this variety by crossing Colombian Gold, Acapulco Gold, and Afghani #1.
He then took it over to Holland where he teamed up with breeders over there to create Skunk #1.
If you want a reliable Skunk plant, then think Afghan Skunk, Super Skunk, or even Purple Skunk mass.
Kush’s lineage is easier to trace to the Hindu Kush region of the Himalayan mountains and is renowned the world over for the cultivar’s deeply relaxing and euphoric effects.
Because of the harsh climate they originated from, Kush plants tend to be stockier with more foliage, and with an average 18% THC level is responsible for producing some serious hits, but without overwhelming the user.
Kush is also well known for it rich flavours, which can be put down to the abundance of terpenes in the cultivar.
If you fancy a trip to the foothills of the Himalayas without leaving the comfort of your couch, then consider growing OG Kush, Afghan Kush, Critical Kush, and so many more. We have a whole video on the worlds best skunk strains, so be sure to check that out!
Now Haze is an interesting name for a type of cannabis that seems to have the opposite effect to what the name suggests. Unlike the previous two types of cannabis plant, Haze tends to light up the mind, fill the body with energy, and make sitting on the couch almost unappealing.
Haze is also not for the fainthearted when it comes to growing as it can easily reach a height of three metres when grown indoors!
When it comes to the effects of the average 16% THC level, think happy, euphoric and clear-headed.
And as for why it was given such an inappropriate name, well what other name should brothers R and J Haze have given the hybrid they created in the 1970s in California by crossing Mexican and Colombian landraces?
for the type of high associated with Haze varieties, why not consider growing Amnesia Haze, Lemon Haze, or Heavens Haze.

Growing Cannabis in a Greenhouse: The Perfect Solution!
Growing cannabis in a greenhouse – the best of both worlds
For one reason or another, growing cannabis plant indoors isn’t feasible.
This can be due to the presence of a flatmate who’s in the police force or you still live with your not-so-broad-minded parents.
Finding a plot of land that is private and secluded can also be a problem, so what’s the solution?
What about a greenhouse – ideally one with opaque polycarbonate panels or whitewashed glass to keep out prying eyes?
Of course, people might be curious to know what’s behind the opaque glass, so it might pay to leave a small area with clear glass and crowd that area with tomato plants to hide what’s lurking behind them.
Greenhouses are great and it is surprising how many people don’t consider using one even when they have a free choice where to grow their plants.
For a start, easily regulated temperatures help to create stronger, healthier plants that yield much more than outdoor plants. You can easily heat a greenhouse during a cold spell.
The walls of your greenhouse are great for creating a humid environment, while there is always plenty of natural daylight, so you can grow the year round.
Polycarbonate greenhouses aren’t expensive, and hand watering saves on expensive watering set-ups.
So, what are the best plants to grow? That’s easy.
Go for autoflowering seeds as they will produce a full crop irrespective of the hours of daylight – Feminised Seeds are also a great choice, but bear in mind these plants require a regular 12 hours of daylight a day.
As for germinating your seeds and establishing your seedlings, this is still best done indoors and then gradually introduce the seedlings to the cooler outdoor environment. Spring’s a great time to do this.
Move the seedlings into the greenhouse for a couple of hours a day, then increase that period over time until you can plant them out.
Employ simple tricks like temperature-controlled skylights and a solar-powered fan to increase airflow and reduce chances of mould.
Blocking out light is easy with black film to force-flower your plants too.
Finally, you also have the option of a ‘sea of green’ where you grow lots of plants that have lower yields, or just a few plants that have maximum yields.
Greenhouses are great for taking your growing away from the home, but still getting great yields.

The Health Benefits of CBD in CANNABIS: In Under 2 Minutes!
For many hundreds of years cannabis was used for medicinal as well as recreational purposes.
Problem is, before scientists became involved, nobody really knew how it worked for reducing pain.
It was only when it was discovered that there are approaching 400 different compounds in cannabis that scientists tried to establish which did what.
That’s when they found out that while THC gets you high, CBD seems has all sorts of health benefits.
There’s a new CBD-based drug called Epidiolex which is being used to treat the severest forms of epilepsy.
Looks like CBD can reduce severe inflammatory and neuropathic pain, which is good news for people with arthritis.
CBD also appears to help people with anxiety problems as well as those who suffer from insomnia or those who keep waking up during the night.
Many multiple sclerosis sufferers report that cannabis helps ease their symptoms, which has been put down to CBD.
The Depression Alliance has reported that CBD can have a positive effect on those suffering from depression, though you’d think they’d be happier to have discovered this fact….
Did we mention that CBD may also help to lower blood pressure as well?

Want the best WEED? Then try Craft Cannabis!
What is craft cannabis?
If you’ve ever heard of craft beer and know what it is, you’re already on the road to understanding what, exactly, craft cannabis is.
Craft cannabis is not grown for commercial reasons and, indeed, is grown in much smaller quantities.
Why?
Because the emphasis with craft cannabis is on quality, not quantity, much the same way craft beers are brewed.
People who grow craft cannabis can best be described as perfectionists.
They tend to be people with a very clinical and analytical mindset, those who have patience in abundance.
For many craft cannabis growers, the goal is to produce the ultimate strain of cannabis, one they can make a name for themselves with.
Curiously, while today California is renowned for craft cannabis, the origins of ‘crafting’ lie in the Valencian town of Guadalest in Spain.
Locals worked with critical strains of cannabis, and through their endeavours they produced an exceptional phenotype, considered to be the first craft cannabis.
Their methods, which had remained a secret for many generations, involved avoiding the use of pesticides, harnessing nature by attracting ladybugs as pest control, and they only ever used mineral-rich water from a nearby waterfall.
They would surround their modest crops with bells on strings to warn of intruders, both human and also opportunistic mountain goats.
It was when a group of Carpathian hippies relocated to the Iberian Peninsula, and particularly the mountainous region of Castell de Castells, that ‘outsiders’ became aware of craft cannabis.
There is an upside and a downside to growing craft cannabis as well.
First, you really need to know your stuff.
You need to understand about the importance of where your get your plant stock and varying strains from.
You need to understand genetics in order to create a plant that contains all the required characteristics you are aiming for.
Growing craft cannabis can be a costly process and, consequently, the end product will price many users out of the market, so you end up with a niche product.
Craft cannabis is, as yet, unregulated and therefore illegal.
That is because craft cannabis is only grown in smaller quantities with the express purpose of being smoked.
There is no medical craft cannabis… yet…
On the upside, you will end up with a very high-quality product.
With careful harvesting, you can ensure that a greater percentage of trichomes (pronounced tri-komes) are preserved.
You don’t need a big set-up to become a craft cannabis grower?
So, if you are of a certain type, growing craft cannabis could be the perfect way forward for you.

Influential Woman in Cannabis!
Five women heavily involved in the legal use of cannabis
You might be surprised just how high up the executive chain female champions of the legal use of cannabis go.
Mind you, why not, when you consider that plenty of women smoke cannabis, as well as use it for medical reasons.
So which women have a loud voice where cannabis is concerned, though we don’t mean that they tend to shout all the time?
Let’s start with Ann lee, as she was one of the first women to make a noise about legalizing cannabis for medial use thirty years ago after her son was badly injured in an accident.
Now a still vociferous octogenarian (that means she’s 90 years old and still advocates on the matter, even though that term sound smore like the Latin name for a dinosaur!), she has also become responsible for the creation of RAMP, or Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition, in the USA.
In America, the black community is heavily penalized when it comes to drug use.
Wanda James is trying to change that in Denver, Colorado, where she became the first woman of colour to own a legal marijuana dispensary, Simply Pure Dispensary.
Wanda and her husband were also the first African Americans to start a legal cannabis cultivation facility and edibles company.
Dr Suzanne Sisley is an academic and a psychiatrist who is a leader in the field of cannabis science.
She has carried out extensive research into the benefits of cannabis as a treatment for post traumatic stress syndrome, or PTSD as it is better known.
Suzanne is also pushing cannabis flowers through the FDA drug development program and, if successful, this will mean that US insurance companies will have to cover the cost of cannabis when used as a pharmaceutical.
Jessica Billingsley decided to combine IT with cannabis farming, and through her company Akerna, has developed highly successful software which has been the first to provide comprehensive plant analysis and tracking from seed to sale.
This involved closing information gaps in supply chain tracking, including data about a plant's genetic makeup.
Akerna was also the first cannabis software company to be listed on the NASDAQ – the American equivalent to our Stock Exchange.
Last, but by no means least, we have Fernanda de la Figuera, a feisty Spanish lady known as Spain’s ‘Weed Granny’.
In Spain, cannabis is illegal if cultivated or sold commercially, but has been decriminalized for private use.
As a consequence, many cannabis clubs have been created, where members can share their produce among themselves, but never beyond the groups.
Fernanda’ started up the club Marias x Maria’, whose members were women who used cannabis for medical purposes.
Marijuana at the club was provided in a safe manner to members, but the Spanish authorities deemed this as a form of trafficking and Fernanda was sentenced to nine months in prison.
She has since has taken her case to the European Court of Human Rights, so clearly this is not a woman you want to mess with!
This Is just a short list, and there are undoubtedly many more, and wed love it if you could enlighten us all in the comment section below, and of course if you enjoyed this video make sure to like and subscribe so you too can become a cannabis expert!

The BEST INDICA WEED STRAINS from around the World!
What do we expect from an indica-based cannabis?
Richer in CBD and slightly lower than sativa strains, we are talking mellow highs rather than rocket fuel, but you will get stoned!
Indica plants are more popular than sativa ones as they tend to be smaller and flowering time is appreciably shorter too.
So, if you are an impatient person who likes to kick back and relax at the end of the day, you want to pay particular attention to the top-ten best indica strains we have identified.
Let’s start with Critical Kush, a fairly high THC count of 22% is tempered by the 2% CBD, so the effect is long lasting, that’s for sure.
Expect a sense of total relaxation and sleepiness, so this is a great nighttime smoke, especially if you suffer from insomnia or lack of sleep.
What also makes it popular is the great taste - citrus, earthiness and spice is unmistakable.
And the final bit of good news – this is a great plant for beginners too!
LA Confidential has been around for a good 15 years and has a great reputation for delivering great highs that are underlined with a surge of energy.
As for growing it – an indoor grow tent is ideal as the plants aren’t too big and yields are still good, with a flowering time of around eight weeks.
Black Domina – hmmm sounds like the dominatrix when it’s more of a pussy cat.
This really is a gem of the indica strain, being a mix of Afghani, Ortega, Hash Plant and Northern Lights.
The result? Lower THC levels leading to the type of high that leaves you feeling slightly euphoric and very giggly.
Once again this is a good plant to grow indoors as it is short and stocky with compact foliage.
This is a great night-time smoke thanks to 15% THC and 1% CBD on average.
Expect to feel a strong high that is defined by feelings of euphoria and deep relaxation resulting from this combination of Blue Black, Maple Leaf Indica, and White Rhino.
Definitely a plant that prefers indoor growing, Cream Caramel will yield you around 550g per square metre.
How about Enemy of the State?
Sounds like the sort of stuff spies would smoke, though if they did they’d be too stoned to do anything else! Maybe that’s how the Cold War really ended…
Beyond inducing an overwhelming feeling of relaxation and being at peace with the world, this is no real enemy.
In fact, it is a friend of the many who suffer from headaches, pain, stress, and cramps, as this seems to be highly effective against such maladies.
Flowering time is usually around seven weeks and like Cream Caramel, you can expect to achieve a harvest of 550g per square meter of a cannabis that releases scents of sweetness, flowers and spice.
Northern Lights won’t have you seeing an awesome light show in the midnight sky, but if you smoke cannabis, this is a name you will surely have heard of.
The 18% THC level will still provide an intense high, deep stoning and a sense of relaxation, rounded off with an energetic edge.
Not bad for a strain of cannabis that’s been around since 1985, so you can ask your parents their thoughts about it!!
This is also popular with new growers owing to its relative indestructible nature as a plant, which can grow to an impressive size.
LA Cheese – that’s LA as in Los Angeles, not as in the French word ‘la marijuana’.
LA Cheese is an elite indica strain, a cross of Big Buddha Cheese and LA Confidential.
With equally good levels of THC and CBD, LA Cheese has become very popular with those who take cannabis for genuine medical reasons.
It’s also a great plant to grow indoors with its thick, bushy and short plants that give a medium yield with flowering occurring after ten weeks.
OG LA Affie is a bit of a mouthful, but the sedating, relaxing and almost psychedelic effects make it just as memorable.
This is a real Netflix and chill cannabis as it won’t leave you feeling totally overwhelmed or stoned, just happy and capable of binge-watching Squid Game and still making some sense of it!
Great for an indoor grow tent, this short plant will produce yields of up to 450g per square meter.
Confidential OG is a 100% pure indica strain bred from Afghani and OG Kush.
A superfast flowering time is tempered by a modest yield of around 300g per square meter, but the deeply calming and relaxing high you’ll get from smoking it will more than make up for any disappointment in the size of the harvest.
Last on the list, and we’ve been saving the best till last, is California Hash Plant.
This is brilliant for beginners, both in terms of smoking cannabis as well as growing it.
THC levels are at a modest 8-12%, giving you a great mellow smoke, ideal for during the day.
There is no huge head buzz and instead this is a nice relaxing and calming smoke.
If you like to grow your plants outdoors, best get the camouflage net out as the plants can grow up to three metres tall!
And that’s all from us today, but what do you think? Let us know your favourite indica strains in the comment section below!

Estimate and Increase your Cannabis Yields!
Is there a way to estimate and affect cannabis yields?
The short answer to the question of whether or not it is possible to estimate cannabis yields is yes, it is.
This is extremely useful to know if you have an idea of how much cannabis you are going to need.
After all, the last thing you want is to end up with too many plants or, worse still, too few.
To begin with, certain strains produce higher yields.
For example, Green Gelato, Amnesia Haze, Shogun and Skunk XL all produce between 600g and 750g per plant, grown under optimum conditions.
Now, about these optimum conditions.
Balancing nutrition is important as too little and plants will not grow fully, while too much nutrition can cause ‘blockout’ where the roots stop absorbing any nutrition in the soil.
Pot size will also help dictate the size of your cannabis plant, within reason. You can begin with a half-litre pot for seedlings, yet end up with your mature plant in a 114-litre pot.
Then comes the light factor.
Too little light and again the plants won’t grow, too much light and you can damage the plant, especially by burning the leaves. In general terms, the bigger the light source, the bigger the buds!
Temperature and levels of humidity are also critical to help maximise yields. Plants benefit both from warmth and relatively high levels of humidity, but too much humidity can cause problems with fungi and diseases.
Next comes vegetating.
The longer a plant spends vegetating, the larger it will grow and the greater the yield it will produce. Remember, once a plant starts flowering, all its energy will subsequently be spent on producing buds, not growing.
For this reason, you may want to avoid autoflowering strains, though it will, of course, mean you have to take greater control of the growing process.
Then comes training, and by this we don’t mean teaching your plants how to fetch a stick or bring you your slippers!
Training can greatly increase yields though, once again, this requires more effort.
Indoors, SOG, ScrOG, topping, defoliation, and high-stress training are all viable options.
However, most growers avoid topping their autoflowering plants as they will not have sufficient time to recover before entering the flowering phase.
Finally, don’t get overexcited when you weigh your freshly picked buds as, by the time you have dried them the weight will have reduced by approximately 75%!

Growing CANNABIS on a BUDGET!
Growing cannabis plants indoors from seed on a budget
Not all of us have deep pockets and one of the reasons we want to grow our own cannabis is because we can’t afford to buy It, assuming of course, you live somewhere it is legal to buy cannabis!
So, here are some helpful tips to reduce your growing costs.
First, think quality and not quantity where seeds are concerned. Only buy from a reputable source with a good reputation. We’d recommend London Seed Centre for the finest genetics.
Choose an autoflowering strain – they produce great yields and are ideal for the novice grower.
Once you have established cannabis plants, rather than buying new seeds, you can consider growing clones instead, though this is only cost effective when growing multiple plants.
Re-use and recycle. Plastic pots can last for years if properly looked after. Soil can be re-used providing you mix in some new soil each time and fertilise it well.
Obviously, you’ll keep using the same tools – knives, pruning shears, gloves, etc. However, remember to keep them clean and disinfected from time to time to avoid spreading disease.
Now, fertiliser costs money, so why not consider composting your household waste instead – it doesn’t cost much to buy a bin and a few composting worms, and your set for years!
You don’t need to fork out a small fortune on a small grow tent when a closet or cupboard in your home will work just as well. All you need to do is line it with a reflective material to maximise the efficiency of your lights.
When it comes to lights, investing in an LED panel may cost you money today, but it will save you a great deal on electricity costs, and these panels will last for up to 10,000 hours!
Your ‘grow tent’ or cupboard will also need to be well ventilated, but don’t buy a system that can ventilate a ballroom when all you have is a two-cubic metre cupboard! Get an extractor fan with a cubic metre rating and multiply the size of volume cupboard or tent by 70 to get the perfect extractor.
The air needs to be changed around 70 times per hour, so a two-square-metre cupboard will require a ventilator with a 140 litres per hour rating, and remember to get a carbon filter to stop the smell invading your home!
So, there you have it, and while first time around a little expense will be involved, next year your plants can be grown with virtually no additional expenditure!

Is Smoking CANNABIS as BAD for your Lungs as Smoking Tobacco ???
Is smoking cannabis as bad for your lungs as smoking tobacco?
Let’s get one thing straight from the onset.
Any form of smoking is not going to do your lungs any good.
If you are someone who wants to do everything they can to live a long and healthy life, perhaps you should consider taking your cannabis in the form of edibles.
It is a misnomer to think that as cannabis is a wholly natural product, it must be far safer than tobacco.
After all, tobacco contains over 7,000 chemicals and at least 250 of them are known to be harmful.
But, did you know that there are also dangerous chemicals in cannabis?
In fact, cannabis smoke contains higher levels of two known carcinogens compared to tobacco smoke, it contains 50% more benzopyrene and 75% more benzathracene.
It has also been shown that smoking cannabis is bad for your lungs, and the expression ‘the more you use, the more you lose, applies to both tobacco and cannabis smokers.
However, there is a difference in the damage levels, but this has little to do with the constituents of the smoke and more to do with how often someone smokes tobacco and how often they smoke cannabis.
More people smoke 20 cigarettes a day than smoke two joints a day. In other words, if you only smoke cannabis, you are less likely to severely damage your lungs compared to a regular cigarette smoker.
Research, however, has shown that heavy cannabis smokers do suffer from a reduction in lung function over time.
What is interesting is that smoking cigarettes has a direct link to the onset of lung cancer. However, research shows that, if anything, there is a negative effect where smoking cannabis and lung cancer are concerned.
this could possibly be put down to the beneficial effects of chemicals in cannabis such as cannabinoids and phytochemicals.
So, what are your alternatives if you still want to enjoy the effects of cannabis.
Well, we have already mentioned edibles, and one shouldn’t forget the option of vaping.
Vaping has many advantages over smoking in that it doesn’t burn any of the constituents and instead simply heats up cannabinoids, enabling the release of terpenes and other psychoactive phytochemicals.
Like so many things we enjoy in life, like alcohol and chocolate, if taken in moderation, the chances of any harm resulting are greatly reduced.
We’d love to know your thoughts on the subject, so do let us know in the comment section below.

The 10 BEST KUSH Weed Strains in the world!
Top-10 Kush Cannabis Strains
The Hindu-Kush mountains that form part of the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan are home to Kush family of cannabis plants, which tend to be indica dominant.
What also makes this weed so recognizable is its pungent smell – Kush is not best smoked in public spaces, well not if it is illegal to do so, anyway.
The skunk smell from Kush cannabis sticks like something unmentionable to a blanket, so even if the state of your eyes doesn’t give the game away, the smell will!
So, who or what is the king of pungent Kush – well that would be Cataract Kush.
This is a cross between OG Kush and LA Confidential and it’s loud. The skunky odour is unmistakable, and that’s before you’ve even lit up!
We reckon carbon filters were invented for Kush growers, that’s for sure!
This is a plant that likes bags of fertilizer (pun intended) and benefits from early topping too.
OG Kush is probably the best-known Kush, having a THC level of up to 25% with a low CBD level.
Expect to get hit with a one-two punch from this iconic strain created from Chemdawg, (Pronounced kem-dog), Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush.
First you get an uplift from the sativa, followed by the narcotic effects of the indica element. This is a first-rate plant capable of producing the best high-inducing cannabis around.
Critical Kush is a combination of OG Kush and Critical, as the name suggests.
This is an indica-dominant strain with up to 25% THC levels, tempered by up to 2% THC to help restore your sanity.
Critical Kush is fast to flower and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for novices to grow, especially as it responds well to bloom boosters.
Master Kush sounds like a character from Star Wars, and though pungent as hell, provides a more manageable hit thanks to its lower THC levels of between 15 and 18%.
Think mellow, not total oblivion.
This is a great Kush for indoor growing as it produces short, stocky plants that also flower inside eight weeks.
All round, a great Kush for ‘newbies’.
You’d think the name Power Kush would imply some mind-blowing high as the result of smoking this weed.
It’s actually the opposite thanks to a 12-16% THC level.
Anticipate a sense of euphoria, a gentle sense, followed by a tranquil body-stoned effect.
If you’re the impatient type you’ll love Power Kush, which has a pedigree lineage of Afghani #1 and Skunk #1 as it flowers within seven weeks!
King’s Kush is a cross between OG Kush and Grape, making it bona fide cannabis royalty.
If you’re an indoor grower and favour Screen of green methods or prefer to LST plants, King’s Kush is a must!
The 20% THC level will help to produce a long-lasting mellow high, while the sweet and sour flavours are unique and a real treat.
Lemon Kush is notable for its sour smoke and is reputed to be a product of crossing Chemdawg, Lemon Thai, and Pakistani Kush.
Unlike the intense couchlock stoning you get from OG Kush, you may be surprised by Lemon Kush’s inspirational and motivational high.
An eight-to-ten-week bloom is achieved through sensible pruning to stop the plant running out of control.
Unusually, this is a very nutrient-hungry plant and it thrives when grown in a hydroponic set-up.
To say that Vanilla Kush is tasty is an understatement. Imagine-less-than subtle hints of a flavour more usually associated with ice cream.
You should also take note that this is a heavy-duty indica strain, the result of crossing Afghan Kush with Kashmir. Hardly a surprising result then!
This is a compact, dwarf plant, perfect for indoor growing with a maximum height of one metre.
Expect flowering after eight weeks and 22% THC levels from its rock-hard Kush nuggs.
Hindu Kush is the grandaddy of them all, the original strain brought out of the Hindu Kush Mountains back in the 1970s when you were just a twinkle in your stoned father’s eye!
Entire seed banks have been founded on the genetics of this ancient landrace, it is prized breeding stock.
This is a sturdy plant, easy to cultivate and one which benefits from minimal nutrients, growing like a clone from seeds, time after time.
Perfect for SOG, Hindu Kush is equally happy growing indoors or outdoors, so perfect for a balcony.
Hindu Kush is also a fast developer, flowering after just seven weeks, while organic soil cropping is highly recommended.
It has been said that Afghan Kush arguably kick-started the modern Kush renaissance, though who said it we have absolutely no idea.
The original seeds were smuggled out of Afghanistan just before the commencement of the Russian Afghani War, which put rather a kybosh on things in 1979.
This is a potent, no, make that phenomenally potent strain and subscribes to the old-school hash farmers’ strain, producing sticky, resinous buds.
Plants grow as wide as they do tall, to a maximum of one metre either way indoors, though can exceed 2m if grown outdoors in a Mediterranean climate.

Speed up Cannabis Production with these simple tips!
Speed weed – tips and tricks to speed up cannabis production
Imagine the Usain Bolt of cannabis plants.
While all the others are just beginning to flower, yours are already showing fat, juicy buds.
Sounds a bit like a fantasy, or does it?
In truth, there are a few things you can do for indoor growing, and outdoor growing too, that can dramatically speed things up when it comes to producing your own cannabis.
Autoflowering strains tend to flower appreciably quicker than photoperiod strains when grown under similar conditions.
You can take a photoperiod strain straight to flowering by using a 12-hour period of darkness straight from the point of germination, though yields will be smaller as a consequence.
Why not grow your plants from clones?
Not only does this mean that you can reproduce one of your highest-yielding plants, but it takes far less time to grow a plant from a cutting than it does growing plants from seeds.
A word of warning, though, don’t clone autoflowering strains as they retain the age of the host plant and will flower before the plant has had a chance to grow to any reasonable size.
Consider 24 hours of light – this can greatly reduce veg time, but watch out for deficiencies. If your plants look unhealthy, go back to 12 hours darkness for a few days to allow them to recover.
You can then jump-start the flowering process.
Put your plants in total darkness for 48 hours before beginning a 12-hour, 12-hour light and dark cycle. You can then use an 11-hour, 13-hour light and dark cycle to trick the plant into thinking that winter is arriving.
How about hydroponics?
This is often forgotten about as an option, especially if speed of production is important to you.
The advantage of hydroponics is that nutrients are delivered direct to the roots. The result is that your veg time can be reduced by a couple of weeks or so.
As for tips to help you speed up the growth of your outdoor plants – there are two main ones we would recommend.
First, cove your plants with a tarp or light-blocking cover at night for a 12-hour period. This is similar to how you operate an indoor grow tent.
This will force the plants to bloom earlier and will usually result in fatter buds.
Second, pollinate late and harvest early.
Here we recommend you pollinate your plants yourself, by hand, roughly a week before harvesting. This will stop the plants’ energy being focused on flower production.
Finally, whether growing cannabis indoors or out, choose your variety carefully as some strains have an appreciably faster time-span between sowing seeds and harvesting cannabis, already giving you a head start!

How much WEED do you put in your brownies???
Getting the right amount of cannabis in your edibles
If you bake a cake, you don’t just throw flour eggs, baking soda and whatever else into a mixing bowl in random quantities, mix it all up, put it in a tin and whack it in the oven, do you?
No, all the ingredients you use are carefully weighed and measured.
So, doesn’t it make sense to do the same when one of those ingredients in your brownies is cannabis?
Of course it does, but how do we know how much cannabis to add?
More to the point, are you a fan of the high you get from edibles, as it is usually very different from a quick tote on a joint and, because you don’t get that ‘instant hit’ you have less control over how big a hit you get. After all, one you’ve eaten your cannabis edible, there’s no going back, and if you don’t like the effect, there’s not a lot you can do, and for quite some time.
You also have to be wary of the ‘nothing’s happening’ syndrome.
Edibles can take anywhere up to two hours to take effect, so it can be a big mistake after half an hour to complain that nothing’s happening after eating one, say, ‘hash brownie’, and promptly eat two more!
That’s why it’s best to pay close attention to your dosing.
In addition, you should know that when making cannabutter for your cooking, while roughly 10% of the potency of THC will be lost, 90-% of the potency of CBD will be lost, which means the THC will be ten-times more effective.
As a result, when starting out with edibles, you should ideally stick to between 3 milligrammes and five milligrammes per portion
So, how do you make sure you have the right amount of cannabis, or rather THC, in each portion of your edible.
The trick comes in knowing how much THC will be in the oil or cannabutter you use.
So, when heated, the THC in cannabis becomes THCA, where the A stands for acid.
If you know your cannabis strain has 20% THC, that equates to 200 milligrammes per 1,000 milligrammes of weed.
Now, if you have 5 grammes of weed, that means you have 1,000mg of THCA.
With a 90% conversion rate when making cannabutter, that means you will have 900 microgrammes of THCA.
Now, when making cannabutter, on average only 60% of the THCA will be absorbed into the butter, meaning our butter will now have only 540 milligrammes of cannabis in it.
If we use all that cannabutter in our recipe, then to achieve 5 milligrammes per portion, we need to make 108 portions.
We get that by dividing 540 milligrammes by 5 milligrammes.
Of course, you may not want to start off with a factory-like output of cannabis edibles, so if you wanted to make, say 10 has brownies in a batch, then you would only need to use just under one tenth of your cannabutter, and leave the rest in the fridge.
As a final word of caution, make sure that your cannabutter doesn’t get mistaken for real butter or margarine, as the consequences could be disastrous!

The Relationship between CANNABIS and ANXIETY!
The relationship between cannabis and anxiety – cannabis anxiety
Yes, well spotted, we made the heading for this video deliberately ambiguous.
Why?
Because this is definitely a coin with two sides.
On the one hand, progress is being made towards a legitimate cannabis0based treatment for stress and anxiety.
True, many of you who suffer from stress and anxiety enjoy the calming and sedative effects of a joint or toke.
But there are others of you who experience a sense of anxiety, of varying degrees, when you smoke cannabis or afterwards.
That degree can extend from mild anxiousness to full-on paranoia and panic attacks.
So, what’s going on?
Well, for those of you who feel relaxed after a joint, chances are your brain and body have ‘connected’ with the calming CBD element of the cannabis.
Perhaps you have found a ‘golden strain’ where you have that perfect balance between CBD for the calming effect and THC to give you a sufficient high, without sending you over the top.
The problem exists for those of you who don’t feel good after a smoke.
Sure, you got the buzz of the hit, but that usually comes with a sense of unease, which can last for anything between ten minutes and two hours.
So, what, if anything, can you do to reduce the level of what is known as ‘cannabis anxiety’?
The following should help…
Check the strain you are using isn’t a THC-rich variety with low CBD levels – this is asking for trouble if you are susceptible to cannabis anxiety. Instead, temper the high with a good dose of CBD.
Reduce the amount of cannabis you use – consider microdosing, especially if you and cannabis have only just begun a relationship.
Set the mood for enjoying a joint – lower the lights and put on some music, so that your mind and body are already beginning to relax before the THC can have any effect, and to give the CBD a helping hand.
Next, what can you do if you get hit by cannabis anxiety during or after a joint or a toke or two?
First off, tell yourself you know what is happening and that the anxiety you are feeling is ‘normal’. Don’t get involved with the vicious circle of something must be wrong, which will make you feel even more anxious, and so on…
Take a cold shower or at least splash cold water on the back of your neck. This will ‘shock’ you back into a present reality and help you to understand that everything that is going on is all in your head.
Try and distract yourself and your thought processes.
Turn on the TV and try and watch a film or a comedy.
Make yourself something to eat, even if the munchies haven’t yet struck!
Finally, accept that what you are experiencing will pass in time, even if it seems like time is passing desperately slowly.
Let us know about your experiences in the comment section below…

Can CANNABIS help with the Pain of ARTHRITIS and Joint Inflammation?
Arthritis affects over 40 million people in Europe.
Is it any wonder that people are now looking towards marijuana as a means to help combat the debilitating effects of the illness.
Arthritis generally comes in two forms.
Osteoarthritis, which is usually associated with ageing and involves the wearing down of joint cartilage to the point where bones begin to rub together.
Rheumatoid arthritis can strike at any age, and is caused by the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy cells in the body, to the point where erosion of the bones becomes a problem.
Symptoms of osteoarthritis include pain, stiffness, tenderness, swelling and reduced mobility.
Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis include joint swelling, tender joints, fatigue and joint stiffness, as well as reduced mobility.
Considerable research is being carried out to maximise the potential of marijuana, or cannabis, whichever you prefer to call it, from a medical perspective.
There have been significant trials that relate to the alleviation of pain, but here we have to try and avoid the prospect of looking at marijuana as a potential miracle cure for multiple diseases.
Yes, people suffering from cancer have reported that smoking or consuming cannabis can help them cope with the pain, but it doesn’t cure cancer.
In relation to arthritis, research is focussing on neurotransmitters, receptors, and the endocannabinoid system, the ECS, in human beings.
If you remember, cannabis is packed full of around 100 cannabinoids, of which THC and CBD are only two.
So far that research has identified a potential link between arthritis and a breakdown of the ECS, and in one study scientists found up to 40% more cartilage degeneration in mice deficient in the CB2 receptor.
Interestingly, when they administered a synthetic cannabinoid, they found it significantly inhibits the progression of the disease in young mice with normal levels of CB2. The mice deficient in the receptor showed no change.
However, that, for the moment is about as far as research has got.
In the meantime, it would seem that cannabis may be able to help with pain management, but that is a little bit like putting a sticking plaster on a deep wound.
What you also have to realise is that pain is the body’s way of warning you that something is wrong, and masking the pain can often lead to causing further damage, so we would always advise caution when using cannabis to help with pain management.

10 Top Tips for Growing Auto-Flowering Cannabis Plants
10 top Tips for Growing Auto-flowering Cannabis Plants
Auto-flowering cannabis is extremely easy and advantageous in yielding plants in a very short time, sometimes as little as 6 weeks from germination.
Today we have listed our Top 10 Tips for Growing Auto flowering plants, reaping the ultimate benefits whilst producing heavy yields.
Tip #1: Plan your Grow before you begin.
Because auto-flowers have a pre-set lifespan you need to first plan everything. Review your whole setup including pots, lights, airflow, and growth medium whether it’s indoor or outdoor! A little mistake may result in lesser yield so be careful and plan ahead.
Tip #2: Choose the Right Pot
Auto flowering cannabis doesn’t like being repotted, so stop Pot transplantation. Growth rate is fast for auto flowers and repotting can disturb their progression. It’s better to use 11-18 liters of growing medium as a first and final pot so their roots can grow freely without becoming bound. If you are going to repot, do It sooner rather than later!
Tip #3 is Proper Nutrients Supply
Remember to avoid supplying nutrients in the Seedling phase. Auto flowers have a smaller root mass so try to be gentle in supplying nutrients. Otherwise your plants can suffer from nutrient burn and can be easily killed with heavy fertilizers.
Tip #4 Provide Light
For indoor growing, Try to give them 20/4 or 18/6 of light hours throughout their lifespan by HPS & or LEDs. However, for outdoor growing, 10 to 12 hours of natural sunlight should be sufficient.
Tip #5 Don’t Overwater
Try to sprinkle water to moisten dry soil. Otherwise overwatering will invite the bad bacteria to stick around the plant roots and further down the line can cease plant growth entirely. So AVOID OVERWATERING! Check out our previous video for more on that.
Tip #6 is to Check PH
Always use a proper PH meter or testing kit for better results. The PH level varies according to different mediums such as 6.0 to 7.0 for soil, and 5.5 to 6.5 for hydroponic growth. Moreover, PH variations suggest a disturbance in nutrient levels. So keep an eye on it at all times!
Tip #7 Train Your Auto-flowers
Use Low-Stress-Training techniques and try to avoid topping and pruning as it causes a poorer harvest. Make sure to get them equal light using strings and toothpicks, yoyos and zip ties for better growth.
Tip #8 create the perfect Environment
Auto flowers are reliable and should display healthy growth around 20-25 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, make sure to have good airflow and proper moisture, and use shading in hot sunny outdoor climates. You can also consider adding additional Co2 to aid plant growth.
Tip #9 Harvest Patiently
Indeed, all buds can be harvested at the same time, but bear in mind top buds often mature faster than lower buds. So, start harvesting from matured flowers and leave the lower ones for later on. This technique will give you greater yields.
Last but not least,
Tip #10 Take care of them
Along with nutrients, lightning and watering, make sure to pay love and attention to your autos. In return, you will be left with a heavy harvest in a short amount of time.
If this is your first time growing Auto flowers, then chances are it’s not going to go perfectly. The best way to learn is to make mistakes and ensure you don’t repeat them.
We’d love to know about your experiences working with autos, so do let us know how it went in the comment section below, and of course if you enjoyed this video make sure to like and subscribe so you too can become a cannabis expert!

The 5 SMELLIEST CANNABIS Strains in the World!
The 5 Most Pungent Strains of Cannabis
You’ve either got to have a screw loose or you live somewhere it is legal to smoke cannabis.
If not, why on earth would you want to smoke one of the most pungent – that means smelliest – strains of cannabis?
Why not get a large neon sign saying “I’m getting stoned” as that would be just as effective?
So, what is it that makes some strains of cannabis smellier than others?
The answer lies in the terpenes? (Pronounced Ter-Peans)
The what’s?
The terpenes – created by the same glands that produce THC and CBD, terpenes appear in the form of an oil and it is these which are responsible for taste and smell, when the cannabis is burned.
As with CBD and THC, the smell of a cannabis plant can be modified according to the strain, though it may surprise you to discover that terpene production can be modified by climate, weather, age and maturation, fertilizers, soil type, and even the time of day.
So when it comes to the top five smelliest strains of cannabis, what have we got?
At number 5, we have Chronic Thunder.
How can we describe this aroma?
A powerful combination of diesel infused with spicy pepper. Chronic Thunder produces a relaxing, satisfied high with a unique dried cinnamon fragrance and delicious flavor. This is a heavy-hitter strain
At number 4 we have OG #18
This is a multiple award-winning strain renowned for its ultra-pungent diesel smell with sour, earthy notes.
Several strains of cannabis have earthy flavours and aromas, one can only assume this was discovered by those who have woken up after overindulging, their head either resting in a plant pot, or firmly implanted in a flower bed in the garden outside.
At number 3 you’ll find Death Star OG.
This has a rich, skunky, sweet and earthy aroma with notes, rather than an overpowering smell of diesel.
The smell is also extremely strong, which should give you a clue to its potency, with a THC level around the 25% mark
In runner up position at number two we have King Kong.
This is easily recognized as it is a distinctive, very pungent combination of sour, spice and skunk.
If you Google “smell of King Kong”, be warned - you may not discover what you were hoping for!
And the winner is…..
Cheese, Gromit. Cheese….
Only those who have seen Wallace and Gromit in A Grand Day Out will get the joke…
Cheese strains are the most pungent of all cannabis strains, where the rancid smell of octanoic acid merges with the sweet, fruity tones of methyl tert-butyl ether (not to be confused with the Welsh mining town of Merthyr Tydfil) and ethyl methyl acetic acid.
There is also isovaleric acid, and the combination of more foul-smelling terpenes like hexanoic acid (which smells of barnyard animals) and methyl mercaptan (which smells like rotten cabbage).
You can see why Cheese wins hands down!
If you’ve know of some particularly pungent strains, don’t forget to tell us about them in the comments below.

Why Cannabis makes you Laugh Uncontrollably!
Why does cannabis make you laugh or giggle uncontrollably?
Who doesn’t need or enjoy having a good laugh from time to time?
But do you know why we laugh?
Think on this, when we are on our own, we tend to have a chuckle to ourselves when something is funny, even seriously funny.
However, when we are with friends, or if there are others with us, we are more likely to laugh out loud.
That’s because laughing is a form of social interaction.
It informs those around us that may not know us too well that we are not a threat to them, while it informs those who do know us well that we are in a good mood.
How often have you had a fit of the giggles when smoking a joint on your own?
We doubt there’s many of you.
Start to share that joint, and then the laughter is more likely to begin.
Laughing is good for us, which may help to explain why there are therapists who use laughing as a means to positively affect our mood.
So, what is it in cannabis that actually triggers us unto laughing?
Guess what?
We don’t really know, but scientists reckon they’re getting closer to finding out.
You have to admit that with trying to find a cure for cancer and numerous life-changing illnesses, scientists’ list of priorities doesn’t really rank cannabis-induced laughing very high up.
What they do know is that cannabis does affect our cognitive activity – when THC enters our brain it stirs up neurons which are associated with laughter.
Add to this that we have begun to relax, feel light-headed and are in a much better mood than we may well have been before lighting up.
There is almost a multiplying factor, which means that what we might have found funny when not stoned, we now find ten times funnier.
Combine this with socially interacting, and you have the right ingredients for giggling uncontrollably at what is genuinely funny, but also having a good laugh about things that ordinarily don’t even seem funny.
When we are chilled and relaxed, it’s so much easier to laugh and find things funny.
We’d love to hear about your own experiences with cannabis, and whether or not It gives you the giggles? Let us know in the comment section below!

How & When to use Cal-Mag
How and When to Use Cal-mag for Growing Cannabis
Growing cannabis is a lot of fun until your plants start dying without any rhyme or reason.
Well, there certainly is a reason, but you may not see it first. Moreover, this can be very frustrating, especially if you’ve cared for the plants like they are your own children. Among the many problems facing plants, cannabis nutrient deficiencies are the most common and can end up causing nutrient lockout.
What is Cal-mag and how can we use it in cannabis growth and when is the Right time to use it?”
Some of you may be thinking about Cal-mag and why should you need to use it for cannabis!
Knowing that your plant has a nutrient deficiency is essential for maintaining a healthy crop because cannabis plants need nutrients to develop the branches, leaves and further along into their growth cycle, the buds.
A nutrient deficiency occurs when your plants don’t get enough food, become stressed and can be more susceptible to bugs, mold, and diseases which can reduce the yields and ultimately kill your plants. These nutrient deficiencies often present in the leaves, such as yellowing, burnt tips, and in more serious cases, crispy and burnt leaves.
it’s important to know that a nutrient deficiency is not only caused by underfeeding but also due to improper pH levels and should not be confused with nutrient toxicity, which is caused by excessive feeding.
Cal-mag is nothing more than a supplement of Calcium and magnesium and other nutrients, cal-mag deficiency often happen together in plants. This is why most growers deal with cal mag deficiency at some point. The easiest way to deal with cal mag deficiency is to add good quality composite to the soil.
You can add garden lime, crushed eggshells, dolomite, and even fish meal to enhance the quality of your soil. And of course you can Use a Cal-Mag Supplement directly.
So you can mix Cal-mag with your normal nutrients solution that you can store in gallon of water.
The reason of using cal-mag is to fulfill the requirement of minerals to plant. If we talk about the dosage of Cal-Mag then the exact dosage would be 3-5 ml per gallon of water, this 5ml will be equal to one teaspoon so for 5 gallons it will be 20-25ml of Cal-Mag.
5ml will be the initial dosage amount for soil if you have existing calcium and magnesium deficiency in your plants. But if you want to use it as a preventive measure then you need to start with 1-1.5ml per gallon.
If using a soilless medium such as coco coir, then it’s a good idea to load up on the Cal-Mag prior to transplanting your established clone or seed. Start with 5 mL/gallon for the first few watering’s, then reverse back to 1-1.5 mL/gallon thereafter.
But when should you use cal-mag?
If you are experiencing calcium magnesium deficiencies then we recommend not waiting, applying 1 or 2ml of cal-mag per gallon of water and pouring straight to your plants. the ideal time of using cal-mag is in day time or after the lights turn on, Because during the day the movement of water is quicker than at night.
The best way to resolve nutrient issues with cannabis is to catch them early. But it’s even better to prevent likely issues outright, which is why you should use a light dose of Cal-Mag throughout your grows
So, in summary the starting dosage of cal-mag should be 1-3 ml/gallon as a preventive measure. And for most growers the ideal time of watering is just before the rising of sun. Because plant will stay in a healthier environment all day long.
Let us know how you use cal-mag in the comment section below, and of course if you enjoyed this video to like and subscribe so you too can become a cannabis expert!
