I finally got around to making a gouache painting tutorial. This one is of a cauldron surrounded by medicinal plants. I painted this for the #Castlearts #halloween #artchallenge So, since this is on #blackpaper I paint a light layer of white underneath all objects so that the colors will show. It is hard to get things to show on top of the black so I turn it into fake white paper first lol. I paint the background first then gradually move into the foreground. This is in contrast to using colored pencils where I will start with the foreground, then move to the background Then I add on varying shades and tones of the main color I want, which is mainly the green of the leaf, and then highlights and shadows. I use a hair dryer to dry the layers of paint so I don't end up with messy moosh. When I want to blend the layers use a brush with a little bit of the color that I want to blend in. For flowers, I follow a similar method. Since they are much more colorful than the leaves in this image (yes leaves can be colorful sometimes), I used more layers and less water. I control the water very tightly because I don't want a huge puddle and I am using 90lb / 150 g/m2 Sketchbook paper so it is thinner than mixed media, bristol, or watercolor paper. This paper can melt if I put too much water. It also "buckles" easily but I don't care about that. I've almost painted a hole in my images a couple times lol. When I am done with everything I might add on a few extra elements like extra leaves, highlights, etc. In this case, I just added more green leafy stuff to fill in the painting. I have been doing more digital art because I have been sick and sitting in bed, but I still want to create content .... so back to digital! I realized while making this that the recordings all have a big portion of my screen cut off ... I find that strange ... I will go back and check the settings of my screen capture OBS Studio settings .... btw I fixed the animation before re-exporting it and adding it to the end ... I just had to change the layer property in front of the skull to normal overlay instead of Clipping Mask ... the clipping mask is really useful though ... Please visit my substack for my complete article https://artemsomnia.substack.com/p/dream-states-and-interpretations To me Dreams are very personal, so I do not use a book of “definitions” or interpretations, nor do I recommend one. There are many things that can influence us within dreams: the energy around us, various beings in the unseen realm, and our own subconscious thoughts. Also when we dream, your brain interprets everything and projects visions and sensations for us to experience. What messages we are meant to receive will be cloaked in a something personal from your consciousness that has meaning to you. There are also many states within dreams. For me, I experience 3 distinct ones, the dreams state itself, and two “in betweens”. There is an in-between where I am close to consciousness and can feel my room, everything around me, and if I open my eyes I can see, but I cannot move my physical body beyond blinking. This is the state where I get most of my interactions with “spectres” which is what I call deceased human spirits who are hanging out near out realm. Other beings have interacted with me in this state but humans are social creatures in both life and death, so spectres come to meet with me more often than non-human beings. There is an in-between state that is closer to the Dream State and similar to shamanic journey/trance or “astral projection” and that is when I have journeyed out of the Dream State and entered another realm. Often, this is where I will meet beings that have something to say to me. Visions most often come when I am full conscious or close to consciousness and they are completely random. I currently have absolutely no control over when the visions come and they have been fairly rare. The ones that come when I am conscious will just fade on their own after a short while. Recently, I started having visions in the in-between and these are ones that I can see again when I close my eyes, but my eyes keep wanting to open and my body really wants to wake up, so I can’t observe the vision for very long. I decided to not talk about visions in this video & write-up because it is a very heavy topic for me due to what I have seen. So I will talk about my dream from last night, which I journeyed back to when awake to investigate more. First Dream I am at my parents’ place and eating food. I decide to go through the fridge, take out leftovers and finish them up. Some of the items I see are familiar dishes or favorites from my past. When I journeyed back, my Spirit Family told me that I was unpacking my things and finalizing my memories. This was really interesting because what people “eat” or “consume things” they become a part of them. But the personal meaning the eating of leftovers had for me was that I was taking items/memories out of long term storage and processing them with digestion. When I eat something, it goes in the mouth and out the rear end. So I am going through them, processing, letting go and moving on. Second Dream Scenario A mall filled with people. When I journey there, I see lots of people and wonder first if they are in a hurry or anything but no, they are just walking through at a “normal pace” (not causual, more like “working pace”) and when I ask a person there he tells me “This store didn’t have what we wanted so we are moving on.”. Third Dream Scenario I see a group of people related to a class I took and teacher that I look up to. There is a female leader who is supposed to be associated with the teacher. So I decide to join in. The leader is pointing a staff at each person and after they say “I don’t believe in the corroded” she taps them lightly and they are initiated. I keep asking people “What is the corroded” and they just look at me funny without answering. When she points the staff at me I say “I don’t know what the corroded is but I will treat everyone nicely and with consideration.” So I’m allowed in the group and we progress to the activity. Maze of Locked Doors Everyone is running through this mall like structure with large halls, big rooms, small connecting rooms, endless hallways and rooms that are all connected by locked doors. Everyone is running through trying to “get through” it and the doors lock instantly when closed so we have to wait for someone to open the door in order to get through. Most people are nice enough to hold the door open for the next person but since we are in a hurry some people accidently start to close the door too early for the next person to catch it. I am frustrated and I hear my Spirit Family tell me “They only want you to go through the doors that they allow you to” Visiting The Corroded I journey back to the dream and first visit The Corroded. I want to mention that what we see is something that is interpreted by the brain and projected into our vision in a way that we can understand. So the same being or universally acknowledged spiritual teacher/deity can look different to different people due to Personal Interpretation done by the Brain. Also, I work with beings of destruction on a regular basis, for example Kali Devi. Who represents the Destruction part of the Creation - Preservation - Destruction cycle. So I have a fairly close relationship with beings that destroy. So, The Corroded, to me, looked like a frail figure with a white skull head and a body made of black ash, it has arms and then a amorphous cloak of a torso, it also feels masculine to me. I ask him what he is what he does and he answers that he as is his name calls him. Ok. Then he holds me, and a white light emerges from my chest and shines. Then he hands me a black ribbon, tying it around my wrist. I ask what it is, and he says it is a gift. I ask why and he lifts a hand from which there is a glimmer of pure white light which I had given him. (I say pure white light because light comes in many different hues, colors and tones in my journeys, and it is usually either cool toned or warm & creamy, this time it was pure white) So it was an exchange and connection. I ask what the ribbon is for, and he says I can give it to them. I ask who’s them? He says I’l know. I ask if I should give it to the group, he basically says I can give it to whoever I want. Asking the Group about the Corroded They exclaim “It Destroys Everything!”. So basically, I get that The Corroded destroys really strong structures that have been built over from investment of a lot of time and energy. I sense that it destroys things that are so built up that they are over-built. Returning to the Maze The female leader of the group has a fanatic look in her eyes and is repeating “We must fulfill our Destiny!” and what is that? The Maze. I am just fed up with this artificial construction of locked doors that we have to wait on so I set intent to destroy the maze and let everyone see how fake it is. So I destroy the entire maze, it burns down to ash and is disintegrated into light. I hear a voice that says “You Failed Us!” repeatedly. So I decide to go back and counsel the group. Conversation with the Group She’s yelling “You destroyed out Destiny! We can’t complete our Destiny!” I ask ‘What is Your Destiny?’ it is the Maze. ‘Why do you have to complete this Destiny?’ Because they told us to Who? Everyone Well I don’t agree with “everyone”. You can do anything you want, now what do you want? I want to be free So, since I have Psychopomp training, I decided to bring them to the Upper Realm. In training, I was directed to ask if they wanted to go up or down but the last group I met wanted to go up so I just defaulted to Upper Realm and asked if they were ok with me helping them and stuff. They were ok so I brought them there and let them be released. But I still wonder about what “You Failed Us!” meant so I decide to return to the scene before I destroy the Maze and ask what I was supposed to do? I am told that I was supposed to guide them through The Maze. So I go through the Maze blasting open the doors and walls with white light and guide everyone to the center. In the center is a treasure chest, when it opens, I see a cool pastel violet light gently emanating from the contents. I ask the people that collect from the treasure box what this gave them. They answer, “A sense of Completion” and I thought that was really interesting because we all have things that we either want or feel compelled to do which don’t make sense to anyone else, and it often turns into an obsession that can only cured with either release or Completion. Then there are a lot of things we are told to do that gnaw at us and don’t go away even if the task is delegated to someone else. When I giggle at things like this in my video, it is because I have resigned myself to laugh at how the politicians continue to ignore people like me who want the craziness to stop. I have had visions of WW3 and political assassination since February 2022 and I silently watched the news to see if things were likely to change. Well, things just got crazier and crazier. Current Situation Ukraine and Russia are going head-to-head. Without following traditional logistics and plans, they are on a new path but they do not have a stable drive to maintain it. What Ukraine is doing It is refusing to rest and making sure it doesn’t get stuck with just one idea or plan. What the Ukrainian Government Wants The Ukrainian Government wants cultural unity and love from the destruction of financial resources and capital. That is why it is doing all this sabotage. It gets rewarded for self-destruction and violence by its Western financial backers who are fighting a Proxy War with Russia. What Russia is doing They are working steadily towards their goal and feeling hopeful about it. What Russia Wants It wants to be able to take care of all its problems and have a deep intuitive knowing of what is best. This intuition or Wisdom usually comes from experience. Underlying Energy and Unity They are secretly protecting each others’ ideals without telling anyone about it. Possible Expected Result & General Message There is some deep cultural understanding and unity within this unending conflict that confuses outsiders but to those engaging in it, there is a goal in sight. I did further readings and got that Ukraine and Russia have an understanding that comes through conflict. This war mentality is actually nurturing BOTHE their causes and brings them unity. Unity through Conflict. Their refusal to work together is causing them to grow and develop culturally. About Parenting Techniques Daddy USA is using Negative Reinforcement by Rewarding baby Ukraine with Weapons and Money for fighting and keeps sending more and more over every time Ukraine hurts itself with things like sabotaging Nuclear Power Plants or failed offensives that slaughter hundreds to thousands of soldiers. Daddy USA wants to hurt Mommy Russia as much as possible and won’t let baby Ukraine negotiate about peace. Mommy Russia is angry at Baby Ukraine and is trying to Spank it into Submission. But Ukraine has declared itself its own person who will not submit to the Spanking and is fighting back with everything Daddy USA gave it. Negative Reinforcement and Corporal Punishment encourages children to be Violent and engage in Self-Harm. We are witnessing the violent break-up of a very dysfunctional family and the Child, Ukraine, is the one being hurt the most. Children are always the victims of any parental dispute. The people who have been attacked and purged since 2014 feel like they’ve been betrayed twice because when they first asked Russia to protect them back in 2014, Russia tried to be diplomatic and signed the Minsk Agreements with Ukraine, two of them, and neither were upheld. Then when Russia “invaded” and held territory, the soldiers said on video that they would be there forever. My earlier readings often had suggestions for people to not trust the Rule of Law to protect them and just leave. (This happened multiple times and the only specific reading I remember is the one where I cried and was totally unprofessional, but I was also talking about the visions of WW3 and political assassinations I saw. Here is that video ) I just thought it was one of those “Moving to a better place is always good for you and the government just sucks sometimes” kinda things. But now, I realized that it was warning about the REALITY of what happens in Conflict Zones, Contested Territory and Civil Wars: In Conflict Zones, people are killed en mass, there is absolutely no stability, the Governing Body is constantly under attack, and there is a lot at stake. If the death of one person can save either the lives or the cause of many, then it will be done. Purges are done to remove any and all threats to the Governing body In times of Peace, when things are Stable and there is less violence, the Governing Body is not under attack and has the time and resources carefully peruse over what needs to be done. They also both have and perceive little to no threat and have no need for Purges. In regard to why someone should not trust or rely on the Government (Enforcement of Law & Order represented by the Emperor card) to protect them or be there for them. That is because when it comes down to it, the Emperor or Governing body is only going to protect Themselves and That Which They Value. If you are not amongst That Which They Value. You will not be given Protection or help. Governments also “take care of ” PRIORITIES first and if you are not a Priority. You will not be the amongst the first ones to be “taken care of”. And the politicians in the USA are able to get away with all their War Games because they are not Transparent about what is really going on and they create artificial political drama to distract the civilians with manufactured domestic issues. The Bi-Partisan Government of the USA rules in Cycles where one party is the “Good Guy” and the other is the “Bad Guy” and a Majority of the citizens are guilt-tripped into supporting the “Good Guy” because they don’t want to be caught supporting the “Bad Guy”. The Bi-Partisan Government uses “Divide and Conquer” to prevent civilians from legally pressuring the Government for deep Structural change. The governing body works with mass media to push people further into extremism so that they can not “agree with each other” and ORGANIZE enough to truly rise up against the system. Then the civilians are too busy fighting each other (escalated protests, riots & shootings) to see what the Government is REALLY doing. They only change civilians can successfully join in to “fight for” is what the politicians want them to fight for via manipulation of mass media and nonsensically dramatic political maneuvers. (like purposefully overturning Roe vs Wade to try and force many people to vote Democratic, or hyping up Trans issues to try and force people to vote Republican. Bothe parties love and support war, just at different times and they usually try to be at odds with each other because it looks better that way). The media in the USA also glorifies Violence & War as a part of Heroism and Being Number One (The Monroe Doctrine states that the USA Government can not and will not allow any nation to compete with it, so ALL must be crushed before they rise too high). The Politicians in the USA Government use their “Divide and Conquer” technique on foreign nations as well as their own. Now that I have said my piece, I will continue on to the reading. USA The Government of the USA is overly focused on one thing and not considering others. The underlying energy is the pause in a chaotic fall. Expected actions events involves them not jumping into things recklessly, they will try to think more before they jumping. The expected effect is a general slowing down of what they had been rushing ahead with combined with deeper introspection as they feel like they don’t see the truth. They will look inwards for truth. Russia Currently they are overcoming feelings of failure while working through an inner qualms about failing. Underlying energy is the beginning of new projects. Expected actions involve them “tending to their garden” by developing capital resources and finances. The expected effect is them trying really hard to not do anything foolish as they enjoy a well-developed system of capital resources and finance. Expected result is a blooming cultural unity. Currently State They are working on developing new capital resources and due to the pause in the chaos, they are able to put in a lot of work. What the USA Wants The Government of the USA is not very interested in collaborating but it doesn’t want to veer too far away from this deal and wants something that can support their plans in development of capital resources. What the USA is Working Towards The Government of the USA is ignoring this without ignoring this … It is not reflecting on the matter and also is not inspired by any new ideas or ways to get this done. What Iran Wants Iran wants to be able to move forward with a sense of protection and not have to worry about things. What is Iran is Working Towards Iran is working towards being able to have tangible results for all the effort they put into this deal, while retaining proper boundaries and discernment in decision making. I forgot to comment about how a neighboring country just re-started shelling civilian targets within Syria. ) Current Situation Currently, there is cultural unity and people are being careful to not act foolishly, however, regardless of the effort they put into their “work” they are unable attain desired results. The Underlying Energy The people have a strong driving force that keeps them going when faced with a lack of protection and resource drainage. Even though they have cultural unity and a focused driving force there is no sense of protection or care for domestic industry. The protective structures that were supposed to protect them have fallen apart and their capital resources that could be used to nurture their country are actually leaving the country. The country in unable to nurture and grow itself. Upcoming Future Events Some or a lot of groups will be leaving the country, and this will put a temporary stop to the chaotic violence and upheaval. Some of it is stopped, but not all, since as it is with violence or crime, humans will always get into arguments and fights with each other. I got the reversed Tower so I see this as only a Temporary and Superficial stop to the chaos. This temporary pause allows the domestic civilians to re-engage with their environment and reach out to each other. Government Situation They are working on building up capital resources but there are delays. Civilian Situation People are totally withdrawn because the physical structure of the country (capital & resources) is in ruins. When the outer world is in ruins we turn within to develop inner strength and inner structure. The people are their own structure and they nurture themselves. Grounding Fate or Chance is in control of the situation. As in there is no control except for the arbitrary one set by the Universe. Anything can happen. And working with whatever chances are brought forth by fate will help ground those in this situation. I see this as a suggestion to build your foundation on instances of chance opportunity. Because the Wheel is always spinning and changing, so take what chances you can and run with it.
