Ignation [ig-ney-shuh n] (イグネーション)

A bass & drum duo band from Upstate NY. With a 6-string bassist singing bluesy lead vocals & a female drummer who raps, screams, & sings backup, Ignation fuses multiple genres, making it difficult to label them under only one. Their sound is often compared to the vocals of Chris Cornell & Beyonce meets a funkier & heavier Rage Against the Machine.

Ignation has an aim to use their lyrics to challenge listeners to look at their own human conditions that often hinder us more than the circumstances surrounding us. We can't always change the external things around us, but what we can do is grow ourselves & better the ways we handle or react to those things. Ignation believes that as people grow more in those areas, it provides greater ability for love & compassion toward each other. They also feel that despite the heavier topics of their songs, its also important to laugh & have fun!
