I bought a GoPro Hero 7 Black for art vlogging on the go and in this video I take it for a test run with it’s default GoPro settings. I have been looking for a small camera to vlog with and take outdoors and I think this might just fit the profile. I can use it in my art studio as a corner camera, I can mount it on my head or chest when I’m doing murals or canvas work and take it wherever my creativity takes me. This is a time-lapse video of me painting a Disney’s princess castle for a client. The original reference image she used is also included in the video and she wanted a few minor tweaks to it. She wanted to change the outline from a sold black to a translucent gold and unfortunately the video does not capture the translucency. The project took 2 full days from preparation to completion and was created with acrylic paint on a standard drywall. In this video, I talk about saving money on acrylic paint without sacrificing quality. I share my number one favorite tip when it comes to buying art supplies on a budget and the brand I use is Behr (many brands have the same color sample options) and you can get these at any hardware store in the paint section. Let’s face it, art supplies are NOT cheap so I try to avoid the art stores as much as possible unless absolutely necessary. If you use acrylic paint and are just starting out and on a budget, this tip might be very beneficial to you and I’d like to know if and when you’re able to purchase one of these for yourself and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. WALL MURAL: Painting A Beach Mural With Montana Cans Spray Paint In this video, I paint a beach mural on an aluminum fence with Montana Black and Montana Gold spray cans as well as Behr acrylic paint with paint brushes. I used a variety of caps for this project but mainly skinny caps and the caps that come on Montana Gold straight out of the box. This project was quite the challenge due to the surface texture, the heat and the Miami rain. It took 10 days but we managed to get through it! I learned a lot during this project, including how to adapt and overcome on the technique and getting a better feel for which spray paint caps I like to use more than others. I truly like these Montana cans and I definitely need to keep an extensive inventory of these bad boys for my projects from now on.
