It is widely believed that you must keep the #faith otherwise you will lose your #salvation. There are two particular verses used to argue this particular belief. Join us as we delve deeper into what Apostle Paul has to say on this.

Many ask, what is the will of God? lets be honest, they are looking for something to do for God in order to be in right standing with Him and/or receive approval. the will of God is easy, its light, it is this "that you believe God concerning the one He sent, Jesus. They choose to boast in what they do for God, rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, they (the pharisees) teach false teachings and customs based on traditions they and their forefathers created as fence around the Law of God but what they were really doing was living in lawlessness and teaching a way that leads to destruction and indeed lead to the destruction of Israel in 70AD. #shorts #scary #destruction #jesusverse

Continuing in Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus was speaking of unbelievers (pharisees, false teachers and false prophets) boasting in their works and what they did in the name of God but they weren't of God. #shorts #scary #boasting

In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus speaks about not knowing who these that claim, 'Lord Lord did we not do xyz in your name', are. to drive the point home, Jews were the audience that Jesus was speaking to and speaking of unbelievers who would make such claims because as we see in Galatians, believers have come to be known by God and know Him. #shorts #scary #bibleverse

The audience Jesus was speaking to were the Jews not the Gentiles, a large portion of His teachings were to those under the Law. in the case of Matthew 7:21-23, it was the teachings of the pharisees (false teachers and false prophets), the traditions and customs, that are the wide gate, the wide path, that leads to destruction. that it would be few among the Jews who would find life (Jesus). that it was hard for them to do so as they clung so tightly to tradtions, customs (watered downed Law) and Law keeping. #shorts #scary #bibleverse

Acts 19:13 Jewish Exorcists invoking the name of the Jesus that Paul proclaims which is evidence they do not know Jesus and Jesus doesn't know them. they could make the claim 'didn't we cast out demons in your name (even attempt to), do x number of miracles and so on.
