This camera is located at the Mon Valley Works–Irvin Plant in West Mifflin, PA, which is a suburb of Pittsburgh. The nest is located along the Monongahela River. This is the same river the Hays Bald Eagle Nest is located on. This live video feed has been granted a Special Permit by the Pennsylvania Game Commission for educational purposes. Both cameras stream 24/7 and in 1440p. First camera was installed in December of 2021. Second camera was installed in May of 2022. #hays,#eagles, A fantastic opportunity to see how the 'covert' feathers of the wings lie like layers of shingles over the primary and secondary flight feathers.​At the bottom of the screen, the longest feathers are primary flight feathers (and extend from the hand of the wing).​the long feathers just above that are the secondary flight feathers (extend from the forearm)​and then we see the layers of covert feathers shingled above those, all the way to the bend, which is actually the bend in the wrist.​These are not 'shoulders' even though they sort of look like that to us.
