It guarantees a more thrilling and responsive driving experience, especially with the R.S. Line trim design. It also makes no compromises on safety with a maximum score of 5 stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. At the same time, it can carry several types of engines with the latest full-hybrid technology– E-TECH Hybrid 145 hp –
and its 1.3 TCe micro-hybrid 12V motors, not to mention the 140 hp and 160 hp versions (as of October 2021).
The New Renault Arkana is designed to meet the very diverse expectations of international markets. It illustrates the Groupe Renault’s global approach and its capacity to conquer new markets. This is a worldwide vehicle, with technical features tailored to each market. In Europe, the New Arkana is
based on the Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform which was also featured on the latest generations of Clio and Captur.
Like the Renault Samsung Motors XM3, the New Renault Arkana will also be made at the Busan plant (South Korea). The Group is set to start taking orders in March 2021 for a release, depending on the markets, by the end of March for the TCe versions and as of June for the E-TECH Hybrid version.
The New Arkana boasts an exclusive hybrid look. With pronounced ground clearance (200 mm), an elevated and muscular beltline and wide shoulders, the Arkana fits perfectly in the world of SUVs.
The front and rear skid plates and the wheel arch protections enhance the SUV look, while the plunging roofline and window line both create an agile and slender curved design that extends to the rear window and enhances the car’s dynamic look, thereby capturing the features of ‘SUV-coupé’
models.
Front end: elegance and durability
The front grille, with a bigger Renault logo sitting proudly at the centre, is flanked by chrome brightwork and trim elements that give the New Arkana a touch of elegance and sophistication.
Below, the very expressive front bumper enhances the dynamic design while the skid plate gives the car a more robust look.
Lighting signature
The all-LED headlights feature the C-shaped lighting signature specific to Renault models and which exemplify the stylish and dynamic design of the New Arkana. The back of the car also displays the Cshaped lighting signature with a strip extending over the whole width of the tailgate, emphasising the taut yet stylish lines and distinctive look of the New Arkana.
Profile
The New Arkana’s profile is one of its most striking features. The dynamic lines of the SUV are instantly recognisable, combining style with sturdiness and sportiness. Planted on large 690-mm diameter wheels, the car measures 4,568 mm in length, 1,571 mm in height and has a 2,720-mm
wheelbase. The car’s overall size gives it a more flowing profile. The chrome aspects, such as the trim accentuating the windows, the side door protections, and the front fender trim, serve to underline the car’s stature.

TOYOTA AYGO X PROLOGUE A new vision for the Future of A Segment
Committed to the future of this segment, it tasked ED² with the challenge of bringing its European vision of the segment to life. The demand was to look at it with fresh eyes. To define and imagine what the A-segment could be for European customers by fulfilling their needs and their desires. And, to prove that cars that have traditionally been called “entry point” can still lead with stand-out design.
“With the Aygo X prologue, I believe we’ve demonstrated that a small car can still be big and bold in personality” (Ken Billes, Assistant Chief Designer ED²).
Since its launch in 2005, Aygo, Toyota’s most accessible car, has charmed youthful, progressive customers with its sense of playfulness and fun.
“Fun and playfulness has always been at the heart of Aygo. Now, we’ve added to its DNA an additional pinch of hot spice” (Lance Scott, Design Director ED²).
Appealing to a style-conscious audience, Aygo’s lively character and engaging driving dynamics have attracted many new European buyers to Toyota. But, the unique DNA and stand-out positioning of Aygo depend upon always staying ahead of the competition. More than ever, new Toyota customers are demanding flair, distinctiveness, and the chance to make a personal statement. Building on the A-segment’s leading style icon position, ED² set out to design a car specifically for them.
ED² assigned a dedicated team to focus on a unified message from start to finish and they became quickly convinced that there was an opportunity to bring a bolder and stronger design. From this conviction, Aygo X prologue was born.
The Aygo name has always symbolised personal freedom and mobility. With the Aygo X prologue, an additional cheeky mischievousness is added to the mix. It’s just as fun, and it’s now got an added edginess to it. From every angle, it expresses its attitude, with a strong personality and an even stronger stance. By bumping up the size of the wheels, the driver enjoys a higher eye point for greater visibility, as well as improved clearance for whatever the road may bring.
Whether from front, rear or side, the mischievousness of Aygo X prologue stands out. A bold bi-tone execution creates a unique graphic profile that grabs attention in the street by emphasizing the car’s readiness to leap forward into action. A new wedged roofline also increases the dynamic feeling for a more aggressive sporty image. While at the front, high-tech lamps hug the upper hood to form a wing-like shape. Lower to the ground, the large grille, fog lamps and skid-plate, all building on the hexagon theme, show that this is a car ready to go. Anywhere.
Practical and ready for tomorrow’s free spirits, Aygo X prologue also offers the features that will further enrich their freedom. A rear skid plate houses a bicycle-holder mount, so that escaping the everyday can always be turned into an adventure. Meanwhile, housed in the door mirror is an action-camera, perfect for capturing and sharing moments of exploration.
Finally, an integrated roof rack accentuates the vehicle’s profile, as well as creating a visual link with the hexagon tail lamps, a subtle reminder of the Aygo DNA.
In life, colours are central to our emotions. This is also true for Aygo X prologue. To bring the “spicy” concept to life, certain ingredients naturally presented themselves. The top four were chilli, ginger, wasabi and black pepper. Spiciest of all is “chilli”. Moreover, use of bi-tone was an additional invitation to take colour balances to another level. In Aygo X prologue, colour is taken up yet another notch by the inclusion a fine sprinkling of blue metallic flake into the paint mix. The resulting dazzling effect makes the colour fully deserving of its name of “Sparkling Chilli Red.”

Furthermore, it encompasses the Hyundai design identity Sensuous Sportiness, defined by the harmony between proportion, architecture, styling and technology. This latest interpretation of Sensuous Sportiness combines emotional values with innovative solutions.
BAYON is characterised by a distinctive exterior design that separates it clearly from its competition. Unique design solutions, high-tech looking details and a clean look elevate it from the crowd.
At the front, a wide grille opens at the bottom, creating a solid stance. Three-part main lights combined with air intakes establish a unique look and architecture. A horizontal air intake band and DRLs establish width, and a lower skid plate confirms its SUV identity.
On the side, a dynamic shoulder provides a wedge-shaped appearance. The arrow-shaped C-pillar provides dynamic and unexpected architecture. This, in combination with fender feature and cladding, defines its unique character.
To the rear, arrow-shaped lights underline the pillar dynamics. Their far-out position creates a wide stance. In addition, a thin horizontal line connecting the taillights further emphasises width and connects the rear and the side in one gesture. The interior is defined by a range of connectivity equipment, including a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.25-inch AVN or 8-inch Display Audio. Occupants can benefit from LED ambient lighting technology integrated into the front passenger foot areas, door wells, and front door pull handle areas, as well as the storage area below the centre console.
A carefully-selected neutral range of interior colours and materials provides maximum compatibility with the exterior colour range. A calm colour and trim concept with small and subtle accents creates a serene atmosphere which allows the driver to focus. BAYON comes standard with a Full Black cloth interior, with two other optional colour combinations available.

As the first model in Hyundai’s new IONIQ brand dedicated to battery electric vehicles (BEV), IONIQ 5 sets the benchmark to redefine the electric mobility lifestyle with sustainable and innovative features.
IONIQ 5 is built upon Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated BEV architecture called Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), enabling it to have unique proportions on an elongated wheelbase. With E-GMP, IONIQ 5 offers innovative interior design with eco-friendly materials in many touchpoints, strong performance mated with ultra-fast charging and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function as well as advanced connectivity and driver assistance features that will offer the ultimate in-car experience while ensuring safety.
IONIQ 5’s progressive design represents a departure from past norms, exploring a new design freedom offered by a dedicated BEV platform. By evoking the daring attitude of Hyundai Pony, the company’s first production car, IONIQ 5 highlights Hyundai’s 45-year journey to become a part of customer’s lifestyles, creating a common thread from past to present and future. This is the redefinition of timeless design, a theme that will expand as the IONIQ lineup grows.
IONIQ 5’s unique exterior design is characterized by the Pony-inspired profile over a 3,000-mm wheelbase. This extended wheelbase requires a more sophisticated approach to translate this new proportion into a contemporary EV typology.
The front of the car is equipped with Hyundai’s first clamshell hood that minimizes panel gaps for optimal aerodynamics. The front bumper is defined by an eye-catching V-shape incorporating distinctive daytime running lights (DRLs) that provide an unmistakable light signature unique to IONIQ 5. These small pixel-like clusters also appear at the rear of the vehicle.
On the sides, auto flush door handles provide clean surface styling and enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. The front and rear forms of the vehicle merge together at its doors, offering another example of Hyundai’s ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design first seen on the all-new Tucson. The strong C-pillar shape, inspired by Hyundai’s ‘45’ EV concept, gives IONIQ 5 a commanding presence clearly identifiable from a distance.
IONIQ 5 is available with a range of power electric (PE) configurations to fit the mobility needs of every customer, with no compromises on performance. Customers can select from two battery pack options, either 58 kWh or 72.6 kWh[3], and two electric motor layouts, either with a rear motor only or with both front and rear motors. All PE variations provide outstanding range and deliver a top speed of 185 km/h.
At the top of the electric motor lineup is an all-wheel drive (AWD) option paired with the 72.6-kWh battery, producing a combined power output of 225-kWh and 605 Nm of torque. This PE configuration can go from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
When equipped with two-wheel drive (2WD) and 72.6-kWh battery, IONIQ 5’s maximum driving range on a single charge will be around 470~480 km[4], according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) standard.
IONIQ 5’s E-GMP can support both 400-V and 800-V charging infrastructures. The platform offers 800-V charging capability as standard, along with 400-V charging, without the need for additional components or adapters. The multi-charging system is a world’s first patented technology that operates the motor and inverter to boost 400 V to 800 V for stable charging compatibility.
With a 350-kW charger, IONIQ 5 can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. IONIQ 5 users only need to charge the vehicle for five minutes to get 100 km of range, according to WLTP.

IONIQ 5’s progressive design represents a departure from past norms, exploring a new design freedom offered by a dedicated BEV platform. By evoking the daring attitude of Hyundai Pony, the company’s first production car, IONIQ 5 highlights Hyundai’s 45-year journey to become a part of customer’s lifestyles, creating a common thread from past to present and future. This is the redefinition of timeless design, a theme that will expand as the IONIQ lineup grows.
IONIQ 5’s unique exterior design is characterized by the Pony-inspired profile over a 3,000-mm wheelbase. This extended wheelbase requires a more sophisticated approach to translate this new proportion into a contemporary EV typology.
The front of the car is equipped with Hyundai’s first clamshell hood that minimizes panel gaps for optimal aerodynamics. The front bumper is defined by an eye-catching V-shape incorporating distinctive daytime running lights (DRLs) that provide an unmistakable light signature unique to IONIQ 5. These small pixel-like clusters also appear at the rear of the vehicle.
On the sides, auto flush door handles provide clean surface styling and enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. The front and rear forms of the vehicle merge together at its doors, offering another example of Hyundai’s ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design first seen on the all-new Tucson. The strong C-pillar shape, inspired by Hyundai’s ‘45’ EV concept, gives IONIQ 5 a commanding presence clearly identifiable from a distance.
IONIQ 5 is available with a range of power electric (PE) configurations to fit the mobility needs of every customer, with no compromises on performance. Customers can select from two battery pack options, either 58 kWh or 72.6 kWh[3], and two electric motor layouts, either with a rear motor only or with both front and rear motors. All PE variations provide outstanding range and deliver a top speed of 185 km/h.
At the top of the electric motor lineup is an all-wheel drive (AWD) option paired with the 72.6-kWh battery, producing a combined power output of 225-kWh and 605 Nm of torque. This PE configuration can go from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
When equipped with two-wheel drive (2WD) and 72.6-kWh battery, IONIQ 5’s maximum driving range on a single charge will be around 470~480 km[4], according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) standard.
IONIQ 5’s E-GMP can support both 400-V and 800-V charging infrastructures. The platform offers 800-V charging capability as standard, along with 400-V charging, without the need for additional components or adapters. The multi-charging system is a world’s first patented technology that operates the motor and inverter to boost 400 V to 800 V for stable charging compatibility.
With a 350-kW charger, IONIQ 5 can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. IONIQ 5 users only need to charge the vehicle for five minutes to get 100 km of range, according to WLTP.

The new PEUGEOT 308 bears the new PEUGEOT brand coat of arms in a grille entirely dedicated to it. Its location is highlighted by the grille pattern that gradually converges towards it.
A design and technological evolution, the radar for driving aids disappears behind the coat of arms (radome technology using indium compatible with radar waves), making it the centre piece on the grille. The number plate has moved to the lower part of the front end.
The front headlamps use LED technology from the first level of finish. Chiselled and slim, they contribute to the dynamics and identity of this new PEUGEOT 308. They are extended by hook-shaped daytime running lights on the front bumper. This light signature is perfectly in keeping with the current PEUGEOT style, recognisable at first glance both by day and by night. On the GT/GT Pack levels, the Full LED headlamps are even thinner and have PEUGEOT Matrix LED Technology, for greater efficiency and safety in everyday use.
At the rear, the headlamps use Full LED technology displaying the 3 claws for a modern, brand-specific light signature.
The PEUGEOT i-cockpit® is part of the brand's DNA. With each generation, it is enhanced and modernised. With this new PEUGEOT 308, it marks an clear change in terms of ergonomics, quality, design and technology with its brand new infotainment system, the PEUGEOT iConnect.
The new compact steering wheel includes sensors which can detect the driver's grip on the steering wheel when using the new driving aids. Ergonomic, heated (optional), it includes all the controls: • radio, media, telephone, driving aids.
The cluster, located at eye level, has a 10 inch digital panel from the active pack level. In GT, the cluster is in 3 dimensions. Fully configurable and customisable, this digital cluster has several display modes (TomTom connected Navigation, Radio/Media, Driving Aids, Energy Flow, etc.) that can be modified directly from the stalk.

A glimpse of the first ever all-electric BMW i4
At today’s BMW Group Annual Conference the upcoming BMW i4 was revealed. “With its sporty looks, best in class driving dynamics and zero local emissions, the BMW i4 is a true BMW. It makes the heart of the BMW brand now beat fully electric,” said Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, Sales.
The BMW i4 is a fully electric 4 door Gran Coupé and will enter the market during the course of 2021, including a BMW M Performance model. Its refined balance of BMW typical sportiness, comfort and sustainable performance are unique in its segment.
The BMW i4 model line will be available in different versions covering ranges of up to 590km (WLTP) and up to 300 miles* (EPA). With a power output of up to 390kW / 530HP the BMW i4 can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in around 4 seconds.
Full details on the BMW i4 will be released over the next weeks.
BMW's first purpose-designed electric sedan made its global debut online. Called i4, and previewed by a close-to-production concept in 2020, it was developed as a battery-powered alternative to the 3 Series.
Designers made several tweaks to the i4 to turn it into a production car. Yes, the colossal grille remains. It's controversial, but BMW told Autoblog it's standing by it. The air intakes on either side of it are smaller than on the concept, and the headlights wear a more production-friendly design. Out back, the air diffuser is subtler and more cleanly integrated into the bumper. The long hood and the fastback-like roof line haven't changed, however.
Interior photos are a piece of the i4 puzzle that's still missing. We know the sedan will share its iDrive 8 infotainment system with the electric iX crossover. The software will be shown on a dashboard-mounted curved-glass display.
BMW chose not to release full technical specifications about the i4, noting only that the lineup will include several versions. The efficiency champ will be able to cover up to 300 miles on a charge, according to early estimates, while the quickest model will reach 60 mph from a stop in about four seconds thanks to a 530-horsepower drivetrain. As we previously reported, the sedan will be built on a 1,212-pound, 80-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. Every configuration regardless of horsepower or range will use BMW's fifth-generation electric drive technology.
More information about the BMW i4 will emerge soon, and we expect to see the i4 in showrooms for the 2022 model year. When it lands, it will compete against the Tesla Model 3 and the Polestar 2, among other upmarket EVs.

With the Q4 e-tron, Audi is presenting a true all-rounder – it is a confident companion for everyday life and leisure, and is suitable in every way as a household’s main car. At 4,590 millimeters (15.1 ft) long, 1,865 millimeters (6.1 ft) wide, and 1,613 millimeters (5.3 ft) high, the exterior dimensions of the Q4 e-tron place it in the larger compact SUV segment. The architecture of the modular electric drive system (MEB) on which the compact electric SUV from Audi is based enables a completely new division of space. While the front overhang measures just 86 centimeters (33.9 in), the wheelbase measures a generous 2.76 meters (9.1 ft) – even more than in the medium-sized SUV segment. The resulting interior measures 1.83 meters (6.0 ft) in length, which is similar to a large full-size class SUV.
Even getting into the Audi Q4 e-tron is a comfortable experience: The doors open wide, and the seats are in a comfortably high position. The driver and up to four passengers enjoy a generously spacious interior, made possible in part by the fact that there is only a flat step instead of a center tunnel. The seat position in the second row is almost seven centimeters (2.8 in) higher than at the front, while still offering plenty of headroom – and the knee room is positively luxurious. When it comes to spaciousness, the compact electric SUV from Audi surpasses its direct competitors in the premium segment.
As a true all-around vehicle and family car, the Audi Q4 e-tron comes with a generous amount of storage compartments, which add up to a volume of 24.8 liters (0.9 cu ft) including the glove compartment. The center console integrates two cup holders, a 4.4-liter (0.2 cu ft) stowage compartment with a cover, two (or four as an option) USB type-C sockets, and the Audi phone box for the mobile phone upon request. All four door trims feature holders for bottles holding up to one liter that are located far up in the front section of the armrest and are therefore very easy to reach. The upper bottle holders were developed in close cooperation between designers and engineers; finding a spot for them in the limited door space was a real challenge.
The luggage compartment of the Audi Q4 e-tron provides 520 liters (18.4 cu ft) of space for luggage. Folding down the backrests, which are divided in the ratio 40:20:40, creates a virtually level surface; when loaded to the roof, the luggage compartment provides a volume of 1,490 liters (52.6 cu ft). This corresponds to the level of the next-higher SUV segment. Audi also provides a partition net and luggage compartment package upon request. It includes a loading floor that can be inserted at two height levels, for example.
Just as in all of its models, Audi is relying on a fully digital operating and display concept with a flat menu structure in the Q4 e-tron as well. It comprises four levels: the digital instrument cluster or Audi virtual cockpit for the driver, the central MMI touch display, the natural-language voice control, and the optional augmented reality head-up display – it is a new pioneering piece of technology.
With the optional augmented reality head-up display in the Q4 e-tron, Audi is taking a huge step forward in display technology. It reflects important information via the windshield on two separate levels, the status section and the augmented reality (AR) section.

The open four-seater of the British premium brand now underlines its unmistakable charisma with a clear and reduced design. The fresh accents on the exterior are expressed particularly intensively in conjunction with the exterior paint in the new Zesty Yellow variant available exclusively for the MINI Convertible.
The powerful bright yellow colour emphasises the lively appearance of the MINI Convertible. At the front of the vehicle, it also adorns the bumper strip, which serves as the number plate holder and is now no longer painted in black but always in the same colour as the car. The minimalist design language also brings the design features characteristic of the brand even more into focus. The hexagonal radiator grille has gained in size and presence, while black inner housings now make the round headlights look even more expressive. With LED units as standard, they provide bright and even illumination of the road. Vertical air inlets for the air curtains have replaced the fog lights.
Precise modifications to the side view include wheel arch surrounds with new contours. In addition, the side indicators integrated into the redesigned side scuttles are now also LED. At the rear, the clear surface design and the now standard LED lights in the distinctive Union Jack design catch the eye.
The MINI Convertible combines the enthusiasm for open-top driving pleasure with clever functionality. It’s fully electrically driven, and thus particularly quiet textile soft top can be opened and closed within 18 seconds at a time. The soft top can also be activated while driving at speeds of up to 30 km/h. For a precisely dosed supply of fresh air and sunlight, the front section of the soft top can be continuously retracted by up to 40 centimetres. This sunroof function is available at any speed. As an alternative to the black version, a MINI Yours soft top is also available, which refers to the British homeland of the MINI brand with a woven-in Union Jack pattern in titanium grey. The dynamic arrow graphic on the soft top of the MINI Convertible in the Sidewalk Edition is just as striking.
The brand's typical open-air pleasure appeals to a steadily growing fan base around the world. By far the most important sales market for the MINI Convertible is Germany, followed by the USA and Great Britain, and far ahead of France, Spain and Portugal, which are known for their reliably warm summers and many hours of sunshine. Last year, German MINI fans opted for a MINI Convertible in almost every fifth purchase.
For the latest generation of the MINI Convertible, there is a choice of three engine variants with a power range between 75 kW/102 hp and 131 kW/178 hp. The petrol engines with three or four cylinders feature modern MINI TwinPower Turbo technology and comply with the Euro 6d emissions standard. The model range also includes the extremely sporty MINI John Cooper Works Convertible. With it, the wind can easily reach gale force. Its 170 kW/231 hp four-cylinder turbo engine enables acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. In combination with the optional 8-speed Steptronic transmission, the sprint to 100 km/h is even completed in 6.5 seconds.
The MINI Convertible is not only the original in its vehicle class, but also the only open-top model in the premium small car segment that is truly unique. Its exclusive character can be emphasised even more with new design and equipment features. In addition to the Zesty Yellow exterior paint, there is a choice of two new body paint variants, Rooftop Grey metallic and Island Blue metallic.
