This is how I cut a tenon in a tie beam. I mention two other methods in the video but don't show them. One being using a chainsaw mill and the other using the more traditional method of cutting slices with a circular saw then breaking those slices off with a mallet and chisel to create the tenon.

Here are a few of the hand tools I use in Timber Framing. I'll be adding Chapters to the video shortly. Bahco hand saws are the brand I was attempting to think of. Some basics of how I selected the herbicide to use spraying my pond. How 2-4 D kills a plant: 1. Auxin based herbicide 2. Auxin regulates plant growth by interacting with a transcriptional repressor and removing it. 3. 2-4 D removes these repressors causing massive unregulated growth by the plant. 4. This expends a lot of energy growing and typically not up towards sunlight to help the plant. 5. Free Radical production skyrockets as a result of this growth. 6. Ethylene production goes up which also products Free Radicals. 7. abscisic acid is produced causing photosynthesis to stop so the plant is not creating energy. 8. The process to clear Free Radicals uses a lot of energy at the same time the plant has stopped producing energy with photosynthesis shut down so the plant starves to death. It pulls minerals away from the plant’s enzyms so that it shuts down functions. 3. It will grab; magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc and others 4. As it does this the plant begins to shut down. It interrupts the plants systems. It cannot kill a plant by itself. It weakens the immune system of the plant so that a pathogen can come in and kill the weakened plant. I'm spraying the lily pads from a boat in the farm pond. herbicide is 2-4 d Surfactant is Cygnet

I brought home some peanuts from the farm back in Georgia to boil. I hope y'all enjoy.

I'm spraying the lily pads by the pond dam to test out the equipment for the next day on the boat. I'm using 2-4-d Amine made by Aligare I'm using Cygnet surfactant Any plain ole pond dye will do to help mark your spray area.

The truck broke down on while visiting the farm in Georgia. The idler pulley locked up and then broke off.

This is how I mortise the housing for the spline in my tie beams. It is unorthodox but works for my needs.

The hydraulic hose busted on the front in loader bucket. Wrong hose from the dealer and a few days later waiting for the right ends to come in and it is repaired.

I'm making some aquatic herbicide granular pellets to kill weeds in my pond back in Georgia.

I'm using my Makita 7104 Mortiser on the housing for a principal rafter.

Used some optimal bluegill fish food to throw into the pond for the kids to see the fish feed on it aggressively. I'm trying to clean up the lily pads in the pond. Technically they're fragrant water lily and watershields but who cares :) It's been a busy month and I'm finally getting back to working on the shop, just as the heat of the summer arrives so Yay.
