Digital Painting done in Procreate on an iPad Pro. After the long wait, and a few scares from my old iPad Air 2, I was finally able to upgrade to a new iPad Pro! After setting up this beautiful piece of equipment the first thing to happen ,of course, is artist block. Just like starting a new sketchbook, I was stuck. I know that I can make whatever I want and it doesn't matter but it was finally my wife that mentioned mermaid. I've always thought the name was odd and the idea of a mermaid that was actually a maid popped up. Our aquatic cleaning lady is going about her daily duties to keep the residence "ship shape". (𝑷.𝑺. Hi there. I'm working through a series I finished a few years ago called 100 doodles in 100 days. It started as a challenge from my wife to keep drawing while I was working in construction. Some entries came easy like this one. I love to watch clouds and often imagine they are big lumbering whales swimming through the sky. By odd chance after I finished the sketch I ran across other artists that had completed works with the same concept. Anyways, this idea was the first in the series so I get to try my hand at complete it. I'm starting work on a children's book about my oldest son's dreams. In this one, he was a T-Rex sitting in the road eating a house.

The Pied Pipers is a sketch I made several years ago as part of a bigger piece. They were originally were leading children to a factory to be processed into little drones for the work force. The piece was never completed but I liked these little guys so much that I had to finish them. I think they’d look cool on a t-shirt. Comment below and let me know what you think.

I found this old sketch in one of my old drawing pads the other day in my sermon notes. The pastor was teaching from the book of Matthew particularly focused on building your foundation on solid rock.
