🌼Check out the most amazing sunset on Harbour island, in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 This place is so peaceful and a must see when you travel to the Exumas. There's the Marina with one small store for provisions and 1 restaurant, several beautiful brand new homes that you can rent and on the other end of the island you have the beach bar with about 6 cabana's to rent that come with powerboards and kayaks. It's also fun to rent a golf cart to cruise around the island or they have free bicycles for you to borrow. Then there's the Crow's nest which is a covered pavilion on the highest point of the island that is stocked with gym equipment for a great workout, or just throw one of their yoga mats down and do some stretching while watching the sun rise! 🌞

Renovated textile mill housing cafes, shops & galleries with works by local artists in many mediums. Bring your check book because here is where you will find high end art, furniture, decorative lamps, tapestries, etc. But this coffee shop was my big thrill, I really don't like coffee and my Americano with honey knocked my socks off!!!!😋 #TheMidLifeTravelerBlog

Take a little tour waterside of Spanish Wells down in the Bahamas. It's just around the corner from Harbor island and as you can see it's a huge shipyard literally in the middle of nowhere. #TheMidLifeTravelerBlog

❤️ I've never felt unsafe when in the Bahamas, and I have been there at least 30 times. On the mainland of course you're gonna have a little bit of crime but it's mostly between the locals, there is rarely ever an incident where a Bahamian commits a crime against a tourist. 🌼They are so happy that we are there and so welcoming, one of the best Places in the world to visit! 🦋

🐷 No one is really sure how the pigs ended up on this tiny island in the middle of the Exumas but since, 🏝 they have become one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Exumas. 🌼There are locals that monitor to make sure that the pigs are safe, they have a giant shed where they lock them up when a hurricane is coming and make sure there's fresh water. Boats come from all over to feed the pigs carrots, vegetables, water and some people feed them things that they shouldn't, which is wrong. A few pigs died recently so they beefed up security to make sure that the piggies are safe. Be careful though because when they know you have food they will chase you down and some are known to bite, for absolutely no reason, right on the booty. So just be cautious and watch your fingertips when feeding. ❤️ I just love them and have been many times! #TheMidLifeTravelerBlog

🐬If you ever make it to the exumas in the Bahamas, you must stop by Compass Cay and swim with the sharks. ❤️ These are nurse sharks and they are super friendly, just watch your fingertips in the water cause they could mistake them for shrimp. 🦐 I was accidentally bitten by one but it grabbed onto my hand realized it wasn't dinner and immediately let go without harming me in any way. There's a $10 per person fee and if you're hungry they grill up burgers and dogs to order, have ice and booze but that's about it. No provisions here, just a small marina and a ton of pet sharks just waiting for you to love on them! ❤️ A must see!! #TheMidLifeTravelerBlog

Love the giant Sombrero's, I think I found my new Halloween costume for this year! Dia de los Locos, is a day that encourages locals madness to express themselves in costumes, satire, folklore, and music. In the baroque town of San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico, this colorful festival—officially named San Antonio de Padua Festival, the people take to the streets in wild costumes dancing and jumping like crazy people to all kinds of Mexican music. #TheMidLifeTravelerBlog #diadeloslocosmexico

I love animals so when I was walking around Harbour Island in the Bahamas I had to stop in at the local rescue to play with the animals. Lisa only had a few kitties for now, they were so cute!

While exploring the island I discovered the local animal shelter run by Lisa. She is a hero and because of her, there really aren't any strays running around.

Stopped by the Dilly Dally on Harbour Island and picked up some hot sauce made locally on Eleuthera Island.

First time here so decided to take a tour and record it for you. This is one of many!

The fun and super cool late night bar on Chub Cay. Pool tables, music, locals mixing with visitors and cheap drinks!

Chub Cay has an amazing pool with a swim up bar and a view of the ocean that is breathtaking. Great place to visit if you need a weekend just to relax and sit poolside. They have a spa, fishing, gift shop, airport and cabanas you can rent plus more, such a beautiful place. Hop, skip and a jump to get here.
