You have to WEED yourself!
In order to have a fruitful and healthy garden, you must give it healthy nutrition and weed it often. You are no different.
We must take time, on regularly intervals, and weed our selves. Get rid of the thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you. Lop off some of the habits and routines that are not moving you towards your life goals. Sometimes, we even need to distance those relationships that seem to be weighing us down.
Where can you 'trim the fat'?
What daily routine is keeping you stuck?
What weeds need removal today?
Give it some thought my incredible friends.

Participation trophies....not a fan.
I have learned more from losing than winning....that's me. I know that isn't always the case, but if you read, listen, watch, many of the folks who are stretching the boundaries of their specific focus, failure was a big part.
Below, you will find some insight about participation trophies and entitlement.
Critics argue that participation trophies can create a mindset where the effort itself is rewarded, irrespective of the outcome. This might lead to a lack of motivation to strive for excellence or put in extra effort.
Entitlement Mindset:
Some critics believe that consistent exposure to participation trophies can contribute to an entitlement mindset, where individuals expect recognition regardless of their performance. This may not align with real-world scenarios where recognition is often tied to achievement.
Undermining the Value of Achievement:
The practice of giving trophies for mere participation may dilute the significance of genuine achievement. When everyone receives a trophy, it may be challenging to distinguish and celebrate exceptional accomplishments.
Unrealistic Expectations:
Critics argue that participation trophies can create unrealistic expectations about the nature of success. In reality, success often requires hard work, skill development, and perseverance, and not everyone can be equally successful in every endeavor.
Potential for Detrimental Effects on Self-Esteem:
Paradoxically, participation trophies might not always boost self-esteem as intended. In some cases, individuals may perceive these trophies as insincere or patronizing, which could potentially impact their self-worth negatively.
Missed Learning Opportunities:
Facing and overcoming failure or disappointment is a part of life and an essential aspect of personal development. Shielding individuals from these experiences by providing participation trophies might deny them valuable opportunities to learn resilience and coping skills.
Ineffective Preparation for the Real World:
The real world often involves competition, setbacks, and varying degrees of success. Participation trophies might not adequately prepare individuals for the challenges they might encounter in academic, professional, or personal spheres.
Potential for Undermining Intrinsic Motivation:
Critics argue that external rewards like participation trophies can undermine intrinsic motivation—the internal desire to engage in an activity for its own sake. When the focus is on external recognition, the joy of the activity itself may diminish.
Mixed Messages:
Providing participation trophies may send mixed messages to children about the expectations and standards for success. It may be challenging for them to discern when genuine achievement is being acknowledged.
Make a list, set some goals, and see, feel, experience the positive impact that ripples throughout your days.

Probably not what you want to hear
Looking in the mirror can be difficult at certain times. When we are making decisions that are detrimental to ourselves or the people around us, the guilt and shame can be overwhelming. That overwhelm has to lead to better choices.

The single most important life changing trait can be cultivated inside you.
With so much information bombarding us non-stop, it is getting increasingly difficult to have a calm mind. On top of that, every tom, dick, and Mary are telling the world about their great car, great home, and amazing vacation, which often times is fabricated. All of this creating a comparison within us that can cripple our relationships with ourselves and others. Healthy self love is the game changer in all of this.

Fractured skull, lazy eye, and what it all means
In 2001, i had an accident where my skull was fractured. Garold vs. Cinder block wall did not work out to good. As one of the consequences, my right eye started veering off to one side. When i visited my doctor, he sort of laughed at me and said, "that has been with you all along." Here is a short video on a life changing principle I acquired through this experience.

Why Frankensteins monster is relevant
Throughout my professional skateboard career, the Frankenstein Monster has adorned almost all of my signature boards. Forever, I thought it was appropriate due to the number of stitches and other injuries endured. Over the last decade, I realized the message resonated much deeper. The monster was constructed of various parts from various people, not that much different from each of us today. Not in the physical sense, but more in the way we are influenced and molded by the individuals around us. Take a look and see how this message is relevant in your life.
Choose your company wisely.
