Quitting Kratom Day 38 - Dealing with Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS) Sucks!
Apologies for the audio. Using new software and it's running a bit hot.
So today marks day 38 of quitting Kratom and I'm 29 days kratom free. Last night was the first night I had a night without Restless Leg Syndrome. Hoping I can repeat the results again tonight.
Hot showers/baths immediately before bed has helped. Taking an iron supplement at night on an empty stomach helps with iron uptake in my brain. Not saying you have an iron deficiency with your kratom-related Restless Leg Syndrome, but it might be worth testing.
PAWS - Post Acute withdrawal Syndrome is a real bitch. Not going to lie, I'm lacking those happy emotions. It's like they don't exist right now. Looking forward to the day when I can laugh again. We'll get there.
Anyway, thanks for hanging out with me. Smash that like button and hit the good old subscribe. I'll keep posting updates.
Cheers,
Gene

Day 32 - Still Having Kratom Withdrawals - A warning if you are new to kratom
Well it's day 32, and I'm still fighting some major Kratom withdrawals. Unfortunately, it's the worse kind of withdrawal. The kind that affects sleep and triggers other problems. Poor sleep leads to so many other issues. So annoying. But I have made a discovery that I think will help me on my journey, and perhaps it will help you on yours as well. Watch the video to find out what I am talking about. Let me know what you think and don't forget to like and subscribe.

Quitting Kratom - Day 31 - Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome is here!
Welcome to Day 31 of my quitting kratom journey. My apologies for starting these videos off in a ramble. It takes me a few minutes to get warmed up.
So I'm 31 days in since starting this quitting kratom journey. I started on a rapid taper. I went from 15-20/g day down to 1g a day in 9 days. That's when I ripped the bandaid off and stopped taking Kratom. This journey has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. I spent 2 weeks dealing with acute withdrawals, and now it's post acute withdrawal symptom (PAWS) and chronic restless leg syndrome. Needless to say, I don't sleep much.
In today's video, I talk about last night's struggle, how I am feeling today, and then I read a few great threads that I found on the quitting kratom subreddit which I think you will enjoy.
I'm on day 31. And I like to look into the future to see how others are doing on their journey. Today is one of those days.
If you are looking for some guidance on PAWS, what to expect, how to cope then hang out with me by watching this video. Thanks for being there and subscribing btw.

Day 30 Quitting Kratom - Have a Plan and Stick To It (Or ELSE!)
Well today marks day 30 of my quitting kratom journey. I started a rapid taper 30 days ago that got me off the stuff at day 9. I guess you can say I have been kratom free for the past 21 days. Unfortunately, I cannot sleep. It's been this way since I started. The silver lining however is that I do have more energy despite only getting 2 hours of interrupted sleep for two to three days. Around day 3 or no sleep my body is so exhausted that I sleep for 5-6 hours. Withdrawals are a real bitch, but kicking this bad habit is worth the work. Follow me on my journey as you work through yours.
Hit the subscribe button. I'm going to start making these videos every day.

I wish I could tell you that my quitting kratom is a process that gets better day by day. For some people it might, for me it is not. I thought I was through the woods after having a great nights sleep the other day. Last night was a reality check. I have not gone to sleep since yesterday. It was an evening of tossing and turning. Really makes no sense considering that I exercised my butt off in the gym earlier in the day, and I have eliminated all starches, sugars, seed oils, hydrogenated garbage from my life. I chalk it up to Kratom doing what it does. It's like a demon. It possesses you. Exercising that demon is easier said than done and it takes months, not days or weeks. Be prepared for the journey ahead. Quitting Kratom is mandatory. You will struggle. But it will be worth it.

How long does it take to quit Kratom? Withdrawal Timeline
Great Article on Kratom that contains everything you need to know, including a withdrawal timeline.

I appear to be behind the curve with respect to this timeline. Remember everyone's journey is different. So if you are lagging then don't fret. That is okay. If you are ahead. Then awesome. That's great news. Don't give up.

Oh the Joys of quitting Kratom. Day 1 isn't that bad actually. For most of us, we still had enough kratom stored up in our systems to not feel bad at all. Day 2, and day 3 on the other hand? Holy shit! Lookout. The acute withdrawal symptoms come at you like a hive of angry wasps.
In this video, I talk about what I experienced when the kratom withdrawals really kicked in around day 2. I also give you some pro tips and shed some light on whether or not quitting cold turkey, rapid taper, or a long-term taper is right for you.
Let me know in the comments how you are doing on your journey, and don't forget to hit that subscribe button.
Take care and good luck.

If you are ready to quit kratom then you have a decision to make. Either quit cold turkey or taper. I took a hybrid approach, which is a rapid taper. The good thing about a rapid taper is that you get off Kratom quicker. The ugly side of a rapid taper, and cold turkey is the gnarly withdrawals. You pretty much get the whole kitchen sink of withdrawal symptoms. Not to mention, every other substance you take into your body, like alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, all seem to enhance the withdrawal symptoms. I took this opportunity to quit everything. I have since returned back to coffee in the morning, but have been free of cannabis, nicotine, and for the most part drinking since starting this journey. My next experiment will be with my diet. I am now starting to realize that my diet is also making symptoms worse.
Good Luck on your journey 🙏
