Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:1 Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth while he was visiting Ephesus during his third missionary journey (Acts 19:1-20:1). Corinth and Ephesus faced each other across the Aegean Sea. Paul knew the Corinthian church well because he had spent 18 months in Corinth during his second missionary journey (Act_18:1-18). While in Ephesus, he had heard about problems in Corinth (1Co_1:11). About the same time, a delegation from the Corinthian church had visited Paul to ask his advice about their conflicts (1Co_16:17). Paul's purpose for writing was to correct those problems and to answer questions church members had asked in a previous letter. Paul was given a special calling from God to preach about Jesus Christ, just as every child of God has a job to do, a role to take, or a contribution to make. Sosthenes may have been Paul's secretary who wrote down this letter as Paul dictated it, just as he wrote the letter to the Romans too.

Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:2 Corinth, a giant cultural melting pot with a great diversity of wealth, religions, and moral standards, had a reputation for being fiercely independent and as decadent as any city in the world. The Romans had destroyed Corinth in 146 B.C. after a rebellion. But in 46 B.C., the Roman emperor Julius Caesar rebuilt it because of its strategic seaport. By Paul's day (A.D. 50), the Romans had made Corinth the capital of Achaia (present-day Greece). The city's prosperity made it ripe for all sorts of corruption. Idolatry flourished, and there were more than a dozen pagan temples employing at least a thousand prostitutes. Corinth's reputation was such that prostitutes in other cities began to be called "Corinthian girls." Although it deals with specific issues facing the church at Corinth, all believers can learn from it. The Corinthian church included a great cross section of believers—wealthy merchants, common laborers, former temple prostitutes, and middle-class families. Because of the wide diversity of people and backgrounds, Paul takes great pains to stress the need for both spiritual unity and Christlike character.

Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:3 Grace is God's free gift of salvation given to us in Christ. Receiving it brings us peace (see Rom_5:1). In a world of noise, confusion, and relentless pressures, people long for peace. Many give up the search, thinking it impossible to find, but true peace of heart and mind is available to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
Personal Supplication
Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, grant unto me depth of encounters with Your word as we study the book of 1st Corinthians. Lord, open my eyes, ears and heart in Jesus' name! Ps . 119:18

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:24-27
• Rom. 16:24-25 The word establish is used only twice in Romans. At the beginning of the book, Paul expresses a desire to visit the Romans that he might impart some spiritual gift to them so that they would be “established” (Rom_1:11). Now he praises God who is able to do it. God used the gospel, which is the preaching of Jesus Christ, to establish the Roman believers. Paul speaks of his message as a mystery (Rom_11:25) because God’s complete plan of salvation was at first hidden but now was being revealed. The revealed mystery is that the church will consist of both Jews and Gentiles united in the one body of Christ (Eph_3:1-13).

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom 16:19-23
• Rom. 16:26 “The Gospel is now revealed and proclaimed according to the will of Him who appoints and adjusts all the developments of His providence, past, present and future.” He who rules all duration knows when to keep silence and when to break it. Paul exclaims that it is wonderful to be alive when the plan, God's secret—his way of saving the Gentiles—is becoming known throughout the world! All the Old Testament prophecies were coming true, and God was using Paul as his instrument to tell this Good News.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:19-23
• Rom. 16:19 As Paul the apostle closes this Epistle, he shares with the Romans a very powerful, practical principle. That is, he would have them be wise to that which is good and ignorant concerning evil. You see, Rome, being the capital city of the empire, was the place to be for anyone who was moving up in society. It was the power point politically, the hot spot culturally. Rome was where the movie stars hung out and the musicians lived. It was the happening place—which is why Paul was concerned that the believers there remain naive concerning evil, that they be ignorant concerning what was happening around them culturally.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom 16:19-23
• Rom. 16:20 Divisive people destroy the peace and unity of the church, but God, who is the source of peace, will crush this work of Satan through the wisdom and obedience of believers. Ultimately, God will totally defeat Satan and bring peace to the whole church. Paul closes with his customary prayer that the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ would be with them.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:19-23
• Rom 16:21-23 Timothy worked with Paul and later received two letters from him. Some think Lucius here is Luke, the author of the third Gospel and Acts. But Paul includes this Luke among his countrymen, meaning he was a Jew. Luke the author was a Gentile. Jason is mentioned in Acts as Paul’s host on his first journey to Thessalonica (Act_17:5, Act_17:7, Act_17:9). Sosipater is likely the same person referred to in Act_20:4. Paul, the author of Romans, dictated the letter to a secretary named Tertius, who actually wrote the words. Tertius here sends his greetings to the Romans. Gaius of Corinth (1Co_1:14) not only gave Paul lodging, but also offered his house as a meeting place for the church. In Act_19:22 a man named Erastus was sent by Paul to Macedonia. This may have been the same man.
Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me stay connected with the church of Jesus Christ, from were my spiritual benefits are allocated. Eph 1:22-23
22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.
23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:14-18
• Rom. 16:14 Paul seems to join all those who were joined by kindred together, nearness of habitation, or any other circumstance. It could not but encourage everyone especially the poor, to be greeted by name, who perhaps did not know that the apostle had ever heard of them. You will observe that while the apostle did not forget anyone that is worthy of note, yet he adjusted the nature of his greetings to the degrees of worth in those whom he greeted. It is always good to give honour to whom honour is due and be generous in our kindness.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom 16:14-18
• Rom. 16:15-16 What a great name! It comes from "Philos Logos" or "Lover of the Word." Philologus and Julia were perhaps husband and wife. Both names occur several times in connection with the imperial household of Rome. Nereus, according to a tradition which goes back to the fourth century, is associated with Flavia Domitilla, a Christian woman who was banished to the Island of Pandateria by her uncle Emperor Domitian in A.D. 95. She was released after his death the following year. Olympas is an abbreviated form of Olympiodorus. These all appear to have been a community of faith. This kiss on the cheek was practiced by the early church as a symbol of the love and unity among the early Christians.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:14-18
• Rom 16:17-18 There is something else in this chapter that iis intriguing. That is, in the middle of his list of friends to greet, Paul inserts a list of foes to avoid. "Mark those who cause division by teaching what is contrary to the doctrine I have shared with you," he said. Notice he doesn't say, "Debate them," "Study them," or even, "Have compassion on them." He says, "Mark and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ." Their motive was wrong. They were not serving our Lord Jesus Christ. They were serving their own belly, meaning they were selfish if not sensual. They were walking according to the flesh (Rom_8:4-5). Furthermore, their methods were deceptive. Smooth words (Gk. chrēstologia) mean “good, kind, gracious.” Flattering speech (Gk. eulogia) means smooth, praising speech. Thus, with gracious praise they deceive (Gk. exapataō) … the simple (Gk. akakos), the gullible.
Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, grant me the grace to speak the truth in all circumstances not matter who or what is involved. Ps 34:12-13
12 Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous?
13 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!

10 Questions with Mike Winger (Episode 115)
Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:
0:00 - Intro
1. 0:05 {Does Exodus Condone Abortion?} Does exodus 21: 22 really condone abortion? I've seen multiple commentaries and translations, and it does really seem like abortion is accepted as the baby's life appears to be less valuable.
2. 10:58 {How Long to Date Before Marriage} Is being in a long-term dating relationship wise? And how long should you wait for someone to make the decision to marry you or not?
3. 14:32 {Why Did God Create Drugs?} Why would God create psychedelics, since they lead so many astray?
4. 20:39 {“Too Much Bible”?!} How would you respond to the phrase “Too little Spirit, too much Bible”? I’d love to know how to respond.
5. 25:03 {Can I Marry a Divorced Person?} My fiancée came to the Lord after our relationship started and I recently found out that she has been divorced twice. Has she been forgiven, or should we call off the marriage?
6. 30:17 {Why Did God Give the Law First?} Why did God, knowing everything, give the Law first and not go straight to grace with Jesus?
7. 35:50 {Can Christians File Restraining Orders?} Does 1 Corinthians 6 apply to restraining orders? A boy in a Christian household was harassing my sister, and my parents were told it was wrong of them for filing a restraining order.
8. 42:34 {Eternal Forgiveness vs. Accountability?} Why does the Bible say we will give an account for every idle word if we will be forgiven?
9. 48:45 {The Father’s Spirit or Spirit of Christ?} In Matthew 10: 20 the Spirit is the Father's Spirit, but elsewhere it says the Spirit is that of Christ. How does this work with the Oneness vs. Trinitarian views?
10. 52:22 {Personal Relationship = Biblical?} Does the Bible actually talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus?

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:8-13
• Rom. 16:8-10 Paul talks about Christ's approval in vs 10. How can we be approved in Christ? It's obtained by studying the Scriptures. 2Ti_2:15 says, Study to shew yourself approved unto God... Make it a priority to give time to study God's word this year and attend Bible Study. Historians tell us Aristobulus was the grandson of Herod the Great—the one who tried to annihilate Jesus by slaughtering all Jewish males under two years of age. Herod was the one who killed his sons and murdered his wife, butchering anyone who was a threat to his power. Yet here was his grandson, numbered among the household of faith. Praise the Lord!

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom 16:8-13
• Rom. 16:11-12 This list of greetings is the longest in any of Paul’s letters. Twenty-six people are mentioned, about one-third of them women. Herodian was a Jew, like Paul. Some have suggested that this Narcissus was a famous freedman of that name who was put to death by Agrippa shortly after Nero came to power. Tryphena and Tryphosa were probably sisters and possibly even twins. It was a common practice to name twins of the same root word. The name means those who live luxuriously. Although these names stem from a pagan root, Paul nevertheless associates them with labor in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who labored much in the Lord: Persis, which means Persian woman is said to be beloved but with a woman Paul delicately avoids using the phrase “my beloved.” These were co-labouerers with Paul.

Study Of Paul's Epistle To The Romans - The Fundamentals Of Christian Education & Church Principles. || Rom. 16:8-13
• Rom 16:13 Rufus, it seems, is the same Rufus spoken of in Mar_15:21. Rufus' father was Simon of Cyrene—the one who came up from Africa to Jerusalem to celebrate and observe the Passover proceedings. Simon of Cyrene was the one that was asked to take up the cross of Jesus, when he fell under its weight and couldn't move further. Simon must have thought, Oh no. What a catastrophe. I came to celebrate the Passover, and now I'm going to be defiled by associating with this criminal. But he discovered that the catastrophe was, in fact, a great opportunity because something happened to Simon when he took up the Cross. The point for us here is that Simon denied himself and took up Jesus' cross. Jesus came to teach us the very important truth that the way to really have happiness and fulfillment in life is to die to self. The more you live for yourself, the more you focus on yourself, the more you are concerned about yourself, the more discouraged and defeated you'll be. Turn this around today. Notice also the deep impact that Rufus' mother had on Paul.
Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me die to self daily, take up my cross and follow You. John 12:24
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

He came as a prisoner. So you can see that even with this man of God, things worked out differently from what he had supposed. This was no disappointment to him. He knew God was leading his life. • Rom 15:30-31 Maybe Paul had some feeling of what was before him. He appealed earnestly to the believers in Rome. This appeal was inspired “by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit.” This is a fine way of appealing to someone. He could say this because he knew that both the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit stood behind this appeal. The Lord Jesus is mentioned here with His full name. You see too, that the Holy Spirit is a Person Who loves. So this appeal of Paul to strive with him in prayer comes in fact from the Lord Jesus, while the love of the Spirit is the power to respond to it. Note what strife in prayer means. Real prayer is like fighting. This fighting is not done with hands and feet. It is a spiritual fight. We must fight so the service of the servants will not be hindered by opponents, and the work of the Lord will go on as a blessing to the believers.

2nd Most Powerful Argument Against God
The idea is that the God, as the Christian describes Him, cannot exist, since a loving God would reveal Himself to the non-resistant non-believer and He does not. Therefore, such a loving God must not exist. I think this is a truly challenging argument not only because it tackles what feels like a very real world issue (I admit) but because arguing against it can quickly put you into the position where you are no longer arguing so much about philosophy or logic but where you are pigeon-holed into a situation where people will think you are personally attacking individuals. In other words, when I say that humans are accountable to know that God exists this argument can quickly turn things into the social foul of saying that people have bad motives or are otherwise insincere. What starts as a philosophical view of the apparentness of God's existence turns into a bullying situation where the Christian is painted as personally attacking others. I reject that framing but I realize that many will continue to see things in that perspective, sadly.
This is a short video and it doesn't get into all the issues related to "Divine Hiddenness." It only covers a couple aspects of it. Other arguments should be made about how apparent God's existence is and to address other issues. I hoped to simply do some work that would build a bit of a bridge past the sense of personal offense many feel on this issue and open them up to another way of seeing things.
Are you wondering what I would consider the STRONGEST argument against God? Well, in terms of persuasiveness, it would be the Problem of Evil. I have a video on that right here. • How to Answer the Problem of Evil in ...

• Rom. 16:5 As you travel with Priscilla and Aquila, you see a pattern begin to unfold in their lives. That is, wherever they went, they started a fellowship group in their house. I like that. They not only worked together by day making tents, but they also opened their home at night. I hope that's true of you and me. Be warned, however. Nothing will be more difficult than having family altar. You can go on vacation, go bowling, have pizza, or watch baseball on TV without a hitch. But say the words, "It's time for family devotions"—and you'll be amazed by what happens. Dad will get a headache and so on. The Enemy will do everything possible to keep you as parents from getting your kids together and praying with them. Nothing in my opinion in this whole world is more powerful or more effective than pulling your kids together for family altar. Note Epenetus, Pauls' first convert in Asia province and position yourself for soul winning.

• Rom. 16:6 The word "labour" is interesting. The same word is used in Luk_5:5 in reference to the fishermen who toiled all night. It embodies the idea of sweating. Thus, Mary bestowed much "sweat" upon them, if you would. That is, she gave of herself in a laboring type of ministry. Note that there are six Marys mentioned in the New Testament. When you think of Mary, you either think of Mary the mother of Jesus, or Mary of Bethany, who sat at the feet of Jesus while her sister Martha toiled in the kitchen (Luk_10:42). This Mary, however, is a worker. I wonder if this Mary ever thought, My name is Mary, and all these Marys before me were sensitive, "sitting at the feet" kind of ladies. But I'm a labourer. That's just the way I am. Mary's name is recorded throughout history as one who was noteworthy because she did what she was made to do, regardless of what the other Marys before her did. And her example is a good one. Be who God made you to be with all pleasure!

• Rom 16:7 Beloved, this is an important verse because it is a key to understanding the apostolic ministry. There are those who say there are only eleven apostles—twelve if Paul is included in the position vacated by Judas—and that there are no apostles in the church today. This is not true because Jesus, was an Apostle sent by God, the Father. The twelve Apostles were sent by God, the son - Jesus Christ and God, the Holy Spirit sent out many apostles—Andronicus, Junia, Titus, Timothy, Barnabas, and a host of others called apostles in Scripture (Act_13:2). Therefore, in my opinion, the apostolic ministry continues today in those who are sent out by the Spirit as well. Note that some of those sent by the Holy Ghost were in Christ before Paul. May you be spiritually intelligent to understand what Heaven would have you accomplished in Jesus' name.
Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, increase my spiritual understanding to know Your will for my life and accomplish all that You have for me in Jesus' name
Eph 1:17-18
17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Daily Covenant Favor Declaration
I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ

Devotional Title - 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer Devotional: Awakening by Stovall Weems
Summary of Day 19 - Praying The Word
Scriptures: John 15:7 NLT
• Effective prayer is based on the Word, do you know what it says about your situation?
• We need to know the word well to pray Word-based prayers.
• Matt 6:33 clearly tells us what He wants.
• Are you pleading for financial breakthrough? Then you need to be aligned with what God says about resources. Are you tithing?
• We have a part to play in the effectiveness of our prayers, it is alignment with God's word.
Prayer Points
Prayer 1 - Father in the name of Jesus, let sleep be withdraw from everyone that You have destined to help me in 2024. Let these destiny helpers begin to remember me and locate me this first quarter of the year and beyond in Jesus name. Father open my book of remembrance today and enthrone me.
Prayer 2 - Father in the name of Jesus, let Your light, dignity, favor, and glory that will announce me to my world and turn me into a celebrity begin to locate me and speak in my life this year, 2024 and beyond in Jesus name.

10 Questions with Mike Winger (Episode 114)
20 Questions with Pastor Mike - Every Episode
Satan's Guide to the Bible is a popular video pretending to represent scholarship in general while only promoting selective skeptical talking points. I'll tackle that as the first question today. The rest come from you, in the comments section during the live stream.
Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:
0:00 - Intro
1. 0:18 {Satan’s Guide to The Bible?} There is a dangerous video gaining popularity, called "Satan's Guide to The Bible," that illustrates a pretend children's Sunday school class learning from Satan as their substitute teacher. He claims that pastors keep secrets from their congregants, but that he will reveal those secrets and tell them the truth. Can you please analyze this video and refute its false claims about the Bible?
2. 38:34 {Was Evolution Used by God?} Genesis 1: 24 sounds like God created animals through evolution (at God’s command) – “The Earth brings forth…” V. 11 also uses the same language. Interestingly, it’s not used with water, birds, animals & man. Thoughts on why this may be?
3. 42:56 {Israel – Male & Female?} What is the explanation for God referring to Israel as male (Hosea 14:5-6) and as female (Jeremiah 3:6)? Is it context related, or is there another explanation?
4. 45:42 {Bethlehem & The Messiah} Did people not know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem (John 7: 41-43 NIV)? I feel like that would have cleared up some of their issues with Him being the Messiah!
5. 47:38 {Does Deuteronomy Prohibit Witnessing to Cults?} Does Deuteronomy 12: 30 prohibit current Christians from learning about other worldviews/religions/cults in order to evangelize them and utilize appropriate apologetics techniques?
6. 50:14 {Why Did God Appoint Unfaithful Leaders?} Why did God choose bad kings if He knows every heart? Saul, Solomon, Jeroboam, Hazael, and Jehu all turned away, but were directly chosen by Him. Why not choose kings He knew would stay faithful?
7. 55:00 {The Divine Council Theory} I heard you once say you didn't agree with Michael Heiser's views on the Divine Council. What part of it do you not agree with?
8. 59:25 {Speaking in Tongues} When did “speaking in tongues” change from being real human languages that the speaker didn’t naturally know to being a non-human/Spirit language?
9. 1:05:24 {Biblically, how is “Neighbor” Defined?} Is there a biblical definition for the term “neighbor”? I've always thought it was a term used to describe a non-believer who shows love to a Christian (or means them no harm).
10. 1:08:28 {Interpreting the Book of Acts} How do we interpret the book of Acts? Is it a reasonable interpretation that it’s merely a transitional period and that we have to be careful how much doctrine we take from it?

Devotional Title - 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer Devotional: Awakening by Stovall Weems
Summary of Day 17 - Prayer Is Not Legalism
Scriptures: Rom 8:1 NLT
• If your motive is to seek God, to pursue God, then pray away, and don't let prayer turn to legalism
• Legalism is like religion. It makes you think you have to pray each day, without fail at the same time for a certain amount of time and according to a certain format.
• Prayer can easily become about our performance rather than knowing God
• Such performance mentality sets you up for an inconsistent prayer life, which eventually becomes a burden. Let the Holy Spirit help you with this.
Prayer Points
Prayer 1 - Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, stir up my spirit to seek, hunger and thirst for Your Word all through this year 2024 and beyond. Revive me oh Lord, that I might partake of this latter rain and the revelation of Your glory as foretold by Your prophets of old in Jesus name!
Prayer 2 - Father by the power of the Holy Spirit, I command every serpentile spirit and agent of the devil that may be hiding around my life and around Your church, JOICC, to be exposed, disgraced, and destroyed in Jesus' name. There shall not be any trace of them in Your church or in my life all through 2024 and beyond in Jesus name
