Word 1
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:19-22
• 1 Cor. 1:19-20 All the wisdom and philosophy of the world, hasn’t ever been able to save anyone. Much fantasy and philosophy have been going on (and still are) about what man is and what would lead him to happiness. But in the Old Testament God already said that He would destroy the wisdom of the wise men and the understanding of their prudent men He would bring to nothing. The wisdom of man is something that comes from man. In Ephesians 4 you can read what man is without God (Eph_4:17-19). How could such man ever come up with something meaningful about the origin, the existence and the future of man? All thoughts of man about himself and from himself and all his searching after the truth about himself apart from God, is meaningless.
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:19-22
• 1 Cor. 1:21 The wisdom of God has a totally different approach. God really cannot use anything at all of the fallen man to restore him but has to start all over again with him. Somebody who we might consider the wisest person will never be able to grasp anything of God with his understanding, his intelligence. God does not target primarily the understanding of man, but his conscience. Some would wonder and say isn’t it foolish to listen to something that approaches you through words that you cannot see or touch or reason with your understanding? No, it certainly is not, for if you once have believed the truth of those words, you are really saved indeed.
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:19-22
• 1 Cor. 1:22 Such contradictions are not to be proved through signs or to be reasoned with the understanding, but to faith it is all to be found in Christ, the Crucified. The Jews did not want such a Savior. Just imagine what they were thinking: their pride, their Messiah, Who would chase away the enemy (the Romans) out of the land, died on a cross. The Greeks had profound thoughts about the essence of man and believed in their own ideas about it. Just imagine again: such a distinguished being as a man should be saved by something abject as a crucified Man.
Personal Supplication
Father, help me to believe everything that You, even when I don't understand it in Jesus' name. Rom 10:10
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Daily Covenant Favor Declaration

Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:23-25
• 1 Cor. 1:23 Such contradictions are not to be proved through signs or to be reasoned with the understanding, but to faith it is all to be found in Christ, the Crucified. The Jews did not want such a Savior. Just imagine what they were thinking: their pride, their Messiah, Who would chase away the enemy (the Romans) out of the land, died on a cross. Just imagine again: such a distinguished being as a man should be saved by something abject as a crucified Man.
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:23-25
• 1 Cor. 1:24 However, he who is called by God, as you also are now, whether you are a Jew or a Gentile, knows for sure: only through the cross there is salvation. On the cross you see Christ. In Him the power of God and the wisdom of God have become apparent. The power of God is not comparable to the muscular power of a man. The power of God is seen in the triumph that was achieved over sin, satan and death by the Son of God. The enemy has been defeated, not by might, but by the submission of the Lord Jesus to God all the way to death.
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:23-25
• 1 Cor. 1:25 God in His wisdom was the only One Who could have invented such a way for the salvation of sinners. Never ever could a man think in such a way. Until now it appears that all human ingenuity has not lead to a happy world. We are sure that it will never happen. Every day we have enough evidence that the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. You have understood and experienced that the ‘foolishness of God’ has brought deliverance in your hopeless situation and that the ‘weakness of God’ was the power that lifted you up from your misery and brought you close to His heart. Compare the foolishness of men to the foolishness of God.
Personal Supplication
Father, help me depend on your grace for my progress and liftings in life and ministry in Jesus' name. Ps 75:6-7 NLT
6 For no one on earth—from east or west, or even from the wilderness— should raise a defiant fist.
7 It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.

Word 1
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:14-18
• 1 Cor. 1:14-16 Water Baptism, salvation, healing, deliverances is not done in the name of Paul or any other prominent persons, but the name of Jesus. Paul did not say this to belittle the meaning of baptism or salvation, but he finds himself to be insignificant. Only Christ is important to him. On the other hand some people find it important to mention by whom they are baptized. But it is totally insignificant who is baptizing or who you are baptized by. With baptism, someone is joined with Christ in His death. It is about Him and not about the one who is baptizing. Let God bne fully gloried in all that we do.
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:14-18
• 1 Cor. 1:17 Paul did not receive an order from Christ to baptize. The twelve disciples, who had followed the Lord Jesus on earth, had received this order. The assignment that Paul got from Christ was to spread the gospel. This should not be done with wisdom of words, because then the person of Paul would come to the foreground again and the cross of Christ would become powerless. It is all about the cross of Christ. The cross is the place where the judgment has raged and is carried and where God is glorified in Christ. Yes, on the cross, the foundation has been laid for a new heaven and a new earth, where the glory of God shall shine in all eternity.
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:14-18
• 1 Cor. 1:18 In these verses Paul depicts the contrast between the old and the new life. To him there is no way in between. The cross doesn’t allow such a way. It is about perishing or being saved. Between these two ways there is the cross. To the world, “to those who are perishing”, the message of the cross is foolishness. That the Son of God voluntarily took that place in order to reconcile a hostile man with God, is foolishness for men who are blind to their own sinfulness and to God Who is holy. But to you the cross was the “power of God” through which you were saved.
Personal Supplication
Father, thank You for the cross of Jesus Christ, by which my salvation, healing, deliverance, peace and prosperity were perfected. Ps 138:8
8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: Forsake not the works of thine own hands

Word 1
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:7-10
• 1 Cor. 1:7 The grace of God was shown to the church in Corinth in that they lacked no spiritual gift. This tells me something very important: The flow of spiritual gifts either in a man individually or in a congregation corporately is not an indication of spirituality. It's an indication of grace. When someone has a gift of healing, a word of prophecy, or otherwise moves in the miraculous, our tendency is to assume he must be very holy. The gifts of the Spirit, however, are not dependent upon our attaining a certain level of spirituality. They're simply a matter of our being recipients of grace. This means ministry and spiritual gifts are not based upon how we're doing at all—but solely upon what God wants to do in and through us.
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:7-10
• 1 Cor. 1:8-9 Because God is faithful to His word, Paul was confident that even the sin-plagued Corinthians would stand blameless before Him. This blamelessness does not refer to the Corinthians’ works, but to their standing in Christ, their justification. Remember this scripture in Rom 8:30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Every child of God has been called, justified (made righteous) and glorified (translated/promoted).
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:7-10
• 1 Cor. 1:10 Paul pleaded for an outward expression that comes from an inward spirit. Not only did Paul encourage the Corinthians to speak the same thing and have external unity; he also urged them to be joined together in a unity of hearts and minds that expresses the unity of the one body of Christ.
Personal Supplication

10 Questions with Mike Winger (Episode 3)
Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:
0:00 - Intro
1. 0:03 {What if God Has No Free Will?} Does God lack free will Himself, since He cannot act outside of or contrary to His nature? If so, doesn’t that make His actions questionable?
2. 20:31 {How Did John have Materials to Write?} Were papyrus and writing supplies expensive? How did John, banished to the Island of Patmos, have all the necessary items to write down his Revelation?
3. 23:22 {Should we Infer Doctrine from Scripture?} Is it wrong to base doctrine on inference? Is it ever legitimate? E.g., the context of Hebrews 12:1 says nothing about saints watching us from Heaven, but some say it’s implied by the word “witnesses.”
4. 31:43 {Where is the 2nd Coming in Scripture?} Where does it say in the Bible that the Messiah will have a second coming? Does Jesus tell His disciples that He won’t be fulfilling all of the Old Testament prophecies just yet?
5. 36:29 {Did Jesus Always Have Power to Heal?} Regarding when Luke 5: 17 says, “The power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal,” did Jesus not always have this power, or does Luke emphasize it here because of what happens next? What’s your take on this?
6. 42:01 {Do Our Prayers Affect Others’ Salvation?} Do our prayers for the unsaved actually increase their chances of being saved, vs. if they didn’t have anyone praying for them?
7. 48:52 {Our Sinful Flesh vs. Spiritual Warfare} How can I discern the difference between demonic influence and my flesh when it comes to sinful struggles?
8. 52:52 {Which Scripture is God-Breathed?} In 2 Timothy 3: 16, when it says “All Scripture is God-breathed…” what would the author have meant by “Scripture”? Because as far as I know, books like Jude and Revelation hadn’t been written yet.
9. 55:00 {About Asexuality} Is asexuality real? I know believers who say they’re asexual (not sexually attracted to anyone). I think this may be true of me, but could it just be God guarding my heart from lust over the years?
10. 1:01:25 {Physical Appearances of Jesus Today?} Does Mark 13: 21-23 refute present-day claims of Jesus physically appearing to people, or is this a misapplication of the text?
Why you should stop saying “I’m spiritual but not religious.” • I’m embarrassed I ever said, "I'm spi...

Word 1
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:4-6
• 1 Cor. 1:4 Paul couldn't say, "I thank my God for your righteousness," because the Corinthians weren't very righteous. He couldn't say, "I thank my God for your faith," because they weren't very faithful. Paul could, however, say, "I thank my God for His grace given on your behalf"—because they needed it! Although he realized the seriousness of the situation, I, nonetheless, picture Paul with a smile on his face as he wrote, "When I think about you, I thank God for grace."
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:4-6
• 1 Cor. 1:5 They were “in everything … enriched”, but only “in Him”. Are you a little bit familiar with these riches? A few of them are listed. The first richness is “in all speech”. Paul had preached the gospel to them by speaking words that came from God. They had accepted these words. This is how they acquired the words of God. Is it not an enormous richness to be able to hold the entire Word of God in your hands? God has not kept anything back from you that was useful for you to know. The Corinthians were also rich in “all knowledge”. That is the second richness. They knew a lot.
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:4-6
• 1 Cor. 1:6 This knowledge is, however, not primarily a matter of the intellect, but of the heart. It is not about how many Bible verses you can say by heart (even though that is important!), but about a Person. By ‘all speech and also by ‘all knowledge’ it is about “the testimony concerning Christ”. Christ has to be the Centre in studying the Word and the increasing of your knowledge.
Personal Supplication
Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, enrich me in grace, wisdom, strength, riches, glory, honour and power in Jesus' name Rev 5:12
12 And they sang in a mighty chorus: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered— to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”

Word 1
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:1 Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth while he was visiting Ephesus during his third missionary journey (Acts 19:1-20:1). Corinth and Ephesus faced each other across the Aegean Sea. Paul knew the Corinthian church well because he had spent 18 months in Corinth during his second missionary journey (Act_18:1-18). While in Ephesus, he had heard about problems in Corinth (1Co_1:11). About the same time, a delegation from the Corinthian church had visited Paul to ask his advice about their conflicts (1Co_16:17). Paul's purpose for writing was to correct those problems and to answer questions church members had asked in a previous letter. Paul was given a special calling from God to preach about Jesus Christ, just as every child of God has a job to do, a role to take, or a contribution to make. Sosthenes may have been Paul's secretary who wrote down this letter as Paul dictated it, just as he wrote the letter to the Romans too.
Word 2
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:2 Corinth, a giant cultural melting pot with a great diversity of wealth, religions, and moral standards, had a reputation for being fiercely independent and as decadent as any city in the world. The Romans had destroyed Corinth in 146 B.C. after a rebellion. But in 46 B.C., the Roman emperor Julius Caesar rebuilt it because of its strategic seaport. By Paul's day (A.D. 50), the Romans had made Corinth the capital of Achaia (present-day Greece). The city's prosperity made it ripe for all sorts of corruption. Idolatry flourished, and there were more than a dozen pagan temples employing at least a thousand prostitutes. Corinth's reputation was such that prostitutes in other cities began to be called "Corinthian girls." Although it deals with specific issues facing the church at Corinth, all believers can learn from it. The Corinthian church included a great cross section of believers—wealthy merchants, common laborers, former temple prostitutes, and middle-class families. Because of the wide diversity of people and backgrounds, Paul takes great pains to stress the need for both spiritual unity and Christlike character.
Word 3
Paul's Solutions For The Church At Corinth - Divided, Defiled, & Defamed. || 1 Cor. 1:1-3
• 1 Cor. 1:3 Grace is God's free gift of salvation given to us in Christ. Receiving it brings us peace (see Rom_5:1). In a world of noise, confusion, and relentless pressures, people long for peace. Many give up the search, thinking it impossible to find, but true peace of heart and mind is available to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
Personal Supplication
Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, grant unto me depth of encounters with Your word as we study the book of 1st Corinthians. Lord, open my eyes, ears and heart in Jesus' name! Ps . 119:18
18 Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.

What Prosperity Preachers Hide From You
We do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
