verbal processing - why it's so important
In this episode, Missy and Chris are tackling the concept of verbal processing. Communication is key to any healthy relationship, but how each person processes verbal communication affects the overall value of the communication. Is the difference gender related? Can we even ask that question today?
The hosts ponder the origins of verbal processing back to cave people and wonder if how we internally process verbal communication hasn't evolved too much over the millennia. Is there a right or wrong way to process? Is it a learned behavior from childhood?
The "answers" from the hosts aren't conclusive, but they agree that for communication to take place, each person needs to understand and respect the process of the other. What are your thoughts?

flexibility - how to go with the flow
In this episode, Chris and Missy talk about flexibility in life. How best can we daily be flexible and why even try? The simple answer: flexibility offers inner peace and less stress.
When we "go with the flow" instead of fighting against the current we reduce our stress since we are no longer striving to control that which we can't control in the first place. Flexibility has everything to do with letting go of control and getting out of our own way.

The Power Of Words And How We Can Positively Use Them
In this episode, Missy and Chris explore the power of words, and how we can use them to change our lives for the better.Words are incredibly powerful. They can shape our perception of the world and ourselves, and influence the way we interact with others.
Our self-talk – the things we say to ourselves inside our own heads – is particularly important, as it can have a big impact on how we feel about ourselves and our lives.Fortunately, we have the power to choose our self-talk. We can choose to focus on the positive, or the negative. We can choose to believe in ourselves, or to doubt ourselves. It’s up to us.

Being Emotionally Present
Being emotionally available is not easy for everyone. In this episode, Missy and Chris talk about what it means to be emotionally available and why some of us struggle with this.
Emotions are our guidance system in life, yet the unknown of the future causes us anxiety, in turn causing us to close off emotionally. Missy and Chris talk about the emotional walls we put up, recognizing that walls both keep things out and keep things in. It's our responsibility, or "my response" to either wall off or share our emotions.
Missy reminds us that emotions are "energy in motion", challenging us to reflect on how we can change our behaviors, in action, to effect a healthy emotional response to life. There is no right or wrong when it comes to emotions, but Missy and Chris share a bit about themselves in the hope that you can learn from them and so create your own inner peace.

Find Peace Of Mind Through Progress Not Perfection
To find peace of mind we need to change our perspective to "progress not perfection". Many of us seek to have a perfect life, feeling like a failure when we fall short. In our search for perfection, we miss the journey, or the progress, along the way.
In this episode, Missy and Chris speak about their journey and search for perfection as they learned to change their perspective while being true to themselves and living in the moment. Peace of mind is found when we stop using "should" as we live in the progress of the moment. We need to refocus our thoughts away from "good" or "bad", reflecting rather on "healthy" and "not healthy".
The listener challenge is found at the 24:30 mark and Missy challenges us to go for a week and look at everything as perfect in the moment. Remember, that inspired action leads us to our perfection.
