Ranking Dune Characters
Today we will be ranking. all the characters in Dune books 1-4. I didn't notice until halfway through the video that the characters from books 5-6 weren't in it! If you guys disagree with any of the rankings let me know in the comments below! I ONe of. my favorite part of this discussion is about archetypes. Frank Herbert while writing Dune used. a Jungian archetypal mandala to figure out different characters' relations to each other. Today we will start trying to figure out how some characters fit into that role. Different opinions on Paul's opposite (sage) are welcome!

philosophers, NEVER skip the Greeks 🏛
Not to be that philosophy bro, but reading the Greeks is so important for your philosophy journey! You may have physical and mental revulsions about the thought of cozying up with some Plato. But, opening your heart (soul) to the Greeks enables you to understand the axiomatic arguments that shape a ton of Western Philosophy. Thanks for watching philosophy tube!

HARUKI MURAKAMI IS A MISOGYNIST
Haruki Murakami's portrayal of women in his novels is very problematic! There are articles in LitHub, The LA Times, The Guardian, The Toronto Star, and a ton of other major organizations on Murakami's problematic writing of women. There are also 800+ Reddit threads on this topic. Today I'll be exploring these articles, and getting to the bottom of Haruki Murakami's misogyny.

ELON MUSK JUST CHANGED BOOKTUBE FOREVER
The exodus is over! The woke BookTube mob will cry themselves to sleep tonight boys 😭 Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter will transform BookTube in multiple ways. So many potential writers/speakers are scared to upset the BookTube mob and get canceled. I've deleted so many videos because of the fear of the hate I'd receive. I have BookTube videos with 1000+ views that remain unlisted because of the hate emails and comments I receive.
If you don't support their crappy books, hold their same beliefs, and support the canon and great literature you are going to feel the hate. I do every day!

Five Books Readers Never Finish
Every single year millions of people do not finish the books we'll be talking about today. Even though they are absolute CLASSICS, people underestimate how hard, long, and transformative these books can be all the time. However, most unfinished books start with a bad book recommender! You shouldn't recommend "Infinite Jest" to someone whose favorite book is 'The Great Gatsby." They aren't ready for that type of challenge yet. If they were, they would have found a way better book than Gatsby 😂

Eight Fall Book Recommendations
Here are eight fall book recommendations for all my real literature fans out there! I won't be doing the typical BookTube gimmick and recommending some empty horror books for October. Rather, I am here to drop some classic book BANGERS that have a thread of darkness running through them. Fall is a time when a dark and powerful potential energy falls over us and the land. Don't waste this yearly opportunity to escape from the world with TV, fluff books, and Halloween. Go outside, explore your shadow, and prepare for the oncoming winter...

Reacting to BookTok Pt. 1
Here is my first installment of reacting to BookTok! Comment a video link if you have any BookTok videos of your own/others you want me to react to! I'm starting to infiltrate the BookTube and BookTok community and can't wait to find even more juicy BookTok's to react to.
Is there a side to BookTok that has deep reactions to the greatest books ever written? Let me know! Maybe I'm just wading in the shallow waters of BookTok!

one flew over the cuckoo's nest. but, everyone is gay 🏳️🌈 #fanfiction
Today we are doing a fanfiction trope remix on the classic novel "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest" by Ken Kesey. This is one of my favorite books, and I wanted to kick off this new series with a fun one! Gender power dynamics, healing trauma through love, and liberation without existing in the common gender binary are some themes we explore today!
The infinite amount of insane options for this series is making me super excited! "Call of the Wild" time-loop? Smut "In Search of Lost Time??" The options are so funny 😂

David Goggins is one bad dude! His book "Can't Hurt Me" is the best memoir I've ever read, and I recommend everyone should read it. In this "Can't Hurt Me" book review I'll lay out a few reasons why David Goggin's book is so impactful, and then hop into two dangers that the book presents for normal civilians!

Ranking Colin Kaepernick's Favorite Books
Today I am ranking Colin Kaepernick's favorite books! This list is way better than I thought it would be, and I hope to bring in some HOT takes for some of the picks. Many books are classics, and each one is radical in its own way. There is a heavy focus on race and politics with his picks. I don't care what you think about Colin Kaepernick! Let's keep the discussion focused on the books! I am apolitical and don't watch football so hopefully I can give an objective perspective.
List of Colin Kaepernick's favorite books
The Autobiography of Malcolm X
Why the Caged Bird Sings
The Invisible Man
Black Feminist Thought
The Wretched of the Earth
The Mis-Education of the Negro
The Fire Next Time
Race and Representation

i read 2000 pages of Yukio Mishima in a week 🇯🇵 🔥
Reading Yukio Mishima always makes me go, full radical bro. I can't help it! Over the past week, I read the whole "Sea of Fertility" tetralogy, "Confessions of a Mask," "Temple of the Golden Dawn," "Sun and Steel" and the "Sound of Waves."
Mishima's mystique stems from the ability to write masterful novels and still live an action-orientated life. Most famous authors are recluses, get sucked into family obligations, or find some

She: Understanding Feminine Psychology by Robert A. Johnson Book Review
Aurora Dusk and I are doing a book review of "She: Understanding Feminine Psychology" by Robert A. Johnson. "She" explores the myth of Psyche and Eros. This is part one of the review, but in today's video, we explore the ritual of marriage, jealousy, and the archetypal significance of Psyche and Aphrodite. Aurora is my first guest on the show and I'm super excited to bring more people on! This video is a part of the "Robert A. Johson" course. Three other Robert A. Johnson (He, We, Inner Work) book reviews are available on this channel/playlist also!

Environmental Philosophy Books You Need to READ
Environmental Philosophy is one of my favorite genres to read! This video is about creating a deeper relationship with nature. Not about climate change or political environmentalism. The change we wish to see in the world starts with us. Most of us want to project pseudo-altruism and aggression about the environment, when we don't even experience a co-creative relationship with it.
Neil Gaiman's Novels Tier-Ranked by misplaced BookTuber
Neil Gaiman is one of the best fantasy writers of the twenty-first century! Today we are tier-ranking every Neil Gaiman novel on a bell curve. There will be some winners and losers, and I'm ready to take the heat in the comments. Let me know what your list is! Hopefully Neil Gaiman's best books are still waiting to be written. But, I've been waiting since 2005 for him to write another adult level novel 😔 So, it may never happen! Sorry for mispronouncing "A-nan-ci" lol. Books ranked include
American Gods
Neverwhere
Good Omens
Interworld series
Stardust

David Foster Wallace's "The Pale King" Book Review #shorts #infinitejest #davidfosterwallace
David Foster Wallace's "The Pale King" is a masterpiece. Even though it is post-humous, it explores some of the most important aspects of our society still today. Boredom, the IRS, and the repetition of modern life! It's very sad that David Foster Wallace didn't have the chance to finish this, as it would have probably been a way better book than Infinite Jest!

We are here to celebrate and talk about timeless writing advice from Salman Rushdie's masterclass. In this video we will discuss Rushdie's
- 7 Tips for Writers
- 4 Steps of Editing
- Surrealist Book Recommendations
If you want to learn to write well, go buy Salman Rushdie's bibliography, read it in full, learn to imitate his style and move on to other authors. I find it unethical to market any M.C. course with affiliate links because most starving writers use courses to procrastinate doing the real work. You have the potential to change the world with your writing like Salman Rushdie did, now go out and start writing!
