Cormac McCarthy Interview with Werner Herzog
This Cormac McCarthy interview has never been released before on YouTube. Cormac McCarthy discusses topics never discussed in his two recent interviews, and his willingness to answer questions at length is much higher. This interview took place with Lawrence Krauss and Werner Herzog on NPR on April 8th, 2011.
During the interview, they discussed their mutual appreciation for each other's work, as well as their creative processes and the importance of storytelling.
McCarthy talked about his writing process, saying that he never outlines his novels or knows where they're going until he gets there. He also discussed his interest in human nature and how it is reflected in his work. Herzog praised McCarthy's ability to capture the essence of the American Southwest in his writing.
Herzog, on the other hand, talked about his experience filming "Into the Abyss," a documentary about a triple homicide in Texas. He discussed his belief in the importance of storytelling, particularly in documentary filmmaking, and how he tries to find the humanity in even the darkest of situations.
Overall, the interview was a fascinating discussion between two great artists who share a deep passion for storytelling and exploring the human experience in their work.

Is Blood Meridian Unfilmable?
There have been debates for years on if Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian is unfilmable. Today I will discuss how it could be made into a film or tv show, the elements that would make it a masterpiece, director picks, actor selections, and other fun stuff related to the movie!
T -Shirts -- https://writeconscious.com/cormac-mccarthy-shirts
Cormac McCarthy believes Blood Meridian could be made into a film when he said this to The Wall Street Journal.
"WSJ: People have said "Blood Meridian" is unfilmable because of the sheer darkness and violence of the story."
CM: That's all crap. The fact that's it's a bleak and bloody story has nothing to do with whether or not you can put it on the screen. That's not the issue. The issue is it would be very difficult to do and would require someone with a bountiful imagination and a lot of balls. But the payoff could be extraordinary.
The photo is from this guy on Reddit who edited it into a wallpaper from an original image in a special edition "Blood Meridian" book.

Cormac McCarthy and Jeffrey Epstein....
Today we will be exploring the connection between Cormac McCarthy and Jeffrey Epstein. Multiple of McCathy's close friends were close friends with Jeffrey Epstein; they were involved at the same institute and lived in Santa Fe. I am not accusing McCarthy of anything illegal or ever even meeting Epstein, but the synchronicities are too strong to not speak on.

Leaping Poetry by Robert Bly Book Review
Today we will be discussing how to "leap" as a poet. A book review/breakdown of Robert Bly's "Leaping Poetry" will help facilitate the discussion about how to leap from the conscious to the unconscious mind during poetry. Robert Bly is one of America's most influential poets. He is responsible for bringing Pablo Neruda (found a Swedish translation of his work in Sweeden), Cesar Vallejo, Antonio Machado, and others to Western poets. He also won the National Book Award for Poetry, revitalized the men's movement into a mythopoetic group (the best version, not the BS it is today), and is one of the greatest poetry critics in history! This video is for poets, poetry lovers, and those interested in the evolution of poetry!

Best Greek Mythology Book - Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" Book Review #shorts
If you want the best introduction to greek mythology Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" is my favorite pick! It is a classic work that isn't watered down for the modern audience and explores in depth the most important parts of Greek Mythology. This isn't an encyclopedic text that lists all the gods and goddesses, but rather covers stories (that involve all the major figures) in depth with beautiful writing.

Why Poets Are Broke in 2023
Are you trying to make money as a poet in 2023? If you follow the game plan of publishing to journals and eventually with a large publishing house you will make no money! Most poets make 1k -3k per poetry book TOTAL with a major house 🤣 Most poets who self-publish lose money on their book.
However, in this new series, I'll be laying out revolutionary ways for poets to make money! I will be posting one or two videos a week on the channel. I will also be creating a pen name and different channels to promote the ideas talked about here from scratch.
Today's video will talk about:
Why it's impossible right now to make money as a poet
How poets make money
The poets curse (the psychological block poets have)

Cormac McCarthy's Anti-Modernity Mindset
Today we will be tracking Cormac McCarthy's rejection of modern culture through statements made in past interviews and by analyzing aspects of his novels. In his video I hope to dispell the myth that Comrac is anti-technology and and evne progress, and rather asset the point that Cormac hates what capitalism/modernity turns people into.
From a young age in Blount County Tenesseee Cormac McCarthy was exposed to the destruction of his Edenic paradise. Big business, cultural shocks, and educational enforcement were popping up all around McCarthy. McCarthy was an early Greta Thunberg of sorts 😂but, without all the shouting all politics.
