It is essentially a parody of what it would be like to go camping with the assorted cast of characters at ParodySquared. Characters within the video include characters from Star Trek, Monty Python, Spaceballs, Beetlejuice, Chucky, Christmas Vacation, and the Greatest American Hero. Other easter eggs and surprises can also been seen if you watch closely. Every character in the video is Parody Guy except for Sir Bedivere, who was played by the Parody Guy's friend Grant. The song playing over the video is "Holiday Roads" by Lindsey Buckingham. I hope you enjoy the latest visit into the twisted mind of Parody Guy.

The Phantom Pandemic This is Parodysquared.com 's first full-action movie. It is a parody of Spaceballs, Star Wars, Monty Python, Buckaroo Banzai and a touch of the Avengers thrown in after the credits. The movie is hopefully an enjoyable look at these genres through the looking glass of a pandemic. The movie is made in the retro 80s style and pacing of the actual movies themselves. See Below. Movie Synopsis The movie takes place in the Spaceballs / Star Wars Universe on episode 42. Long after Dark Helmet fails to capture the air from planet Druidia. Only this time a Jedi appears to conquer Dark Helmet once and for all. Unfortunately the universe is overwhelmed by the virus. You see assorted characters from multiple genres wearing virus masks and other protective gear while attempting to live their lives through the next episode. The movie attempts to poke fun at the weird things we are forced to deal with during a pandemic, illustrating the problems with social distancing, mask wearing, isolation, and the various perspectives that individuals have on the pandemic and frankly life as a whole. Even in a galaxy far far away the pandemic disrupts everyone. This movie was the labor of many, many months, during which time the studio was designed and created, lighting was worked out, microphones bought and tested, computers purchased and super upgraded and an absolute host of software was learned. During this time I went from a $500 3-year old camera to a high end camera which greatly improves the green screen footage in many of the scenes with the new setup. The movie was used to cut our teeth and get us up to speed on the new software/hardware and techniques that are out there. The movie also showcases my love for Cosplay and costumes altogether, most of the costumes in the movie I have worn to conventions such as Gencon. This was our teams entry in the WIFF (Windsor International Film Festival) Mark Boscariol 48-Hr Flick Fest 2021. The Contest gives each team 48 hours to complete a film of 1-5 minutes in length. At the beginning of the contest the teams are given a list of criteria that must be included in the film, and that's it.. 48 hours later you either have a film or you don't. No part of the film may be made ahead of time and absolutely no stock footage may be used. The Criteria for this year was the following: There must be a character called JUDE CLAW. The main character is a VOICE ACTOR. Some character must have CHOREONIA. The following line must appear in the film somehow. "DID YOU BAKE THESE YOURSELF?" There must be a pair of SWIM GOGGLES somewhere in the film. There you go.. Go make a film. Our video ended up taking home the following awards and $800 of the $1350 dollars worth of prize money.. Best of FlickFest Award Best Director Best Cinematography Best Sound Mixing In our case, almost nobody had even met before the contest started so we had to endure a collage of different personalities and try not to strangle each other while trying to complete a film in 2 days. It was quite the experience and something to remember and to be proud of. Through 48 very long and short hours, this is what we came up with. I hope you enjoy our movie.. My Weird Addiction.

The video represents about 3 months of work. Cleaning, assembling, leveling, cementing, patching, spackling, priming and finally painting the studios with green screen paint. At this stage, ordinary matt house paint was used. two full coats of primer and 2 full coats of paint were used on the walls, one one of each on the floor. The room is about 25 feet long by 18 feet wide. The lighting changes since this was taken in the fall of 2020 and the garage doors were open sometimes and closed sometimes due to the weather and the smell of the vapours. The time lapse is set to 1 frame being taken per 60 seconds of work. The video is set to 24 frames per second. I hope you enjoy and learn something from the video.
