Quick Tips on Digital Portraits in Procreate | Drawing Paul Washer
Many artists struggle with getting a correct likeness of a portrait - but one of the main mistakes is thinking in terms of what you're drawing and not in terms of geometric shapes. We end up drawing with our "left brain" instead of our "right brain". It takes practice, but the more you can train yourself to concentrate on drawing what is there rather than what your brain thinks should be there, the better your portraits will become.
In this video, we take a look at one of my quick sketches of the preacher - Paul Washer of @HeartCry Missionary Society. Washer has had a profound impact on my life and faith, and I've benefitted a lot from his ministry and teaching. I hope that through this video, perhaps some others will be blessed by his ministry.

A Distinctly Christian View of Philosophy & Apologetics (ft. Steven R. Martins)
In this episode, I interview a good friend, Steven R. Martins, who is a pastor, author and apologist.
We talked about Steven's journey in the study of Apologetics (the defence of the Christian faith) and the difference between Classical, Evidential and Presuppositional Apologetics. We cover why a Presuppositional approach to Apologetics is both most Biblical and effective in Evangelism and how Steven uses it in pastoral ministry. We also talked a bit about the concept of worldviews and how Christians need to be prepared in today's world to defend the faith in a comprehensive way.
We also talked a bit about Steven's upcoming book on a Christian view of philosophy and why it's important.

An Exposition of Romans 13 | The Christian & Civil Government
This is a seminar with the Langham Institute with pastors and church leaders from Trinidad and Tobago on the topic of God, Government, and Me. This is the second session in that seminar covering an exposition of Romans 13.
In recent times, with COVID mandates and restrictions affecting all areas of society, it has gotten a lot of Christians talking about Romans 13 and its application to the relationship between Church and State. I've seen many poor expositions of the passage and even more lamentable applications of erroneous understandings. Many have ripped verses from Romans 13 out of their context to argue for their particular understandings of politics and government. However, as faithful Bereans, we must closely examine the scriptures to see if these things are really so.
This session will mainly be focused on an exegesis of the text of Romans 13:1-7 and its relevance to the current discussion. While some applications will be drawn, the purpose is not to flesh out a fully formed theology of government, civil disobedience/obedience, or politics. That is perhaps for another time or article series. Instead, the focus will be on trying to faithfully interpret the text and its implications. May God help us all act in honourable ways in our societies and as Christian citizens of our earthly and heavenly cities.

God, Government and Me | An Introduction to a Christian View of Law & Government
This is a seminar at the Langham Institute with pastors and church leaders from Trinidad and Tobago on the topic of God, Government and Me. This is the first session in that seminar covering an introduction to a Christian view of Government and politics.
Many Christians today view politics as “dirty” and something secular which they should not involve themselves with - far less, bring their faith into it!
However, much of the decline of Western societies in recent years is due to the decreasing influence of Christian beliefs over our societies, in all areas including politics. If Jesus says that we are “salt and light”, an analogy of our preserving and illuminating influence. So, then it stands to reason that in whatever spheres of life Christian influence retreats, it will lead to inevitable decay and darkness. This increasing decay and darkness in the realm of politics and government lead to ever-increasing forms of totalitarianism wherever this happens. Christians should not retreat from the political sphere any more than they should retreat from education, business, the arts or any other part of public life.
