Metals for saddle dee's can be 304 stainless steel or cold rolled steel like the ones made in this video. Heat and bend the Dee's around the fixture then remove and weld the seam at the top then hand forge a bevel on the D. After the bevel is hammered on then it's time to grind out the hammer marks using a belt sander. Go through the sanding belt grits 40, 80, 120 and 320 then buff to a mirror finish.
