Using children as shields in relation to health should never be acceptable.
From the BBC: There has been a 77% rise in the number of children needing specialist treatment for severe mental health. The amount of youth under the age of 18 currently in touch with NHS psychiatric teams is at its highest number on record.

There are groups of people in our collective societies that without knowing it have been using children as shields in relation to their health. There will never be a time where that is acceptable. Hopefully this is trend is becoming history and I hope we hope history will not repeat itself.
