MY BLOODY VALENTINE 2009 - Tom Hanniger returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of an unsolved Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. THE ALAMO 2004 - Dennis Quaid, Billy Bob Thornton, Jason Patrick & more in this remake of John Wayne's 1960 Classic, a revisioning that tells the well-known story of the Alamo, and the lesser-known details of the battle leading to the defeat of Mexican President & General Santa Anna by the smaller Texas army of Sam Houston. RED RIVER 1988 - Big Jim Arness stars in this CBS TV remake of the 1948 John Wayne Classic. He initially passed on it, not wanting to take on his mentor John Wayne's role, but with some convincing and a cast of Bruce Boxleitner, Gregory Harrison, Ray Walston, Ty Hardin, Robert Horton, John Lupton and Guy Madison, he decided to take it on. They all do a fine job. FULL MOVIE in HD

THE WIZARD OF GORE 2007 - Grisly splatter-film Remake of the Herschell Gordon Lewis 1970 Gore Classic. Montag the Magnificent is a master illusionist who performs at underground venues, selecting female volunteers from his audiences. To their hysteria, it appears he's dismembered their bodies, but his sleight of hand has them fooled. Later female bodies show up dead from the same wounds performed on stage. Investigators are baffled and the chase to find the killer begins. FULL MOVIE in HD & Widescreen

2001 MANIACS 2005 - A Grisly Horror-Comedy Remake of the Herschell Gordon Lewis 1964 Gore Classic "Two Thousand Maniacs". Eight college students traveling to Florida for Spring Break stumble into a remote town in Georgia, supposedly a Confederate Rebel ghost-town, but there they find residents and are targeted for death. SAHARA 1995 - Jim Belushi stars in this Showtime TV Remake of the 1943 Bogart WW2 Classic. A tank commander and his men along with a group of assorted stragglers they picked up along the way try to keep a limited supply of water away from the Nazis. FULL MOVIE in HD

FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX 2004 - Fine remake of the 1965 Jimmy Stewart Classic, with a setting change from the Sahara Desert to the Gobi Desert. Otherwise, the story is the same. Survivors of a plane crash in the Mongolian desert work together to build a new plane from parts of the wreck. FULL MOVIE in HD & Widescreen

FREAKSHOW 2007 - In this period-set remake of Tod Browning's FREAKS of 1932, A gang of thieves works as security guards in a traveling carnival. They plot to steal the rich owner's fortune. Lucy, one of the thieves, attempts to get the fortune by seducing the boss, marrying him, then they kill him. The circus freaks are on to the scheme and plot a grisly revenge. SHE FREAK 1967 - Low-Budget grindhouse remake of Tod Browning's FREAKS of 1932, modernized for the 1960s. A waitress leaves the greasy-diner business for a better job at a carnival. She discovers that she despises freaks and human oddities, and they in turn do not like her. She weasels her way into the affections of the wealthy owner while carrying on with another worker, and the results are disastrous for all of them. FULL MOVIE in HD & Widescreen

POSEIDON 2006 - Warner Bros big star remake of the 1972 blockbuster disaster film, sticking closely to the plot of the original film. On New Year's Eve, the luxury ocean liner Poseidon capsizes after being swamped by a rogue wave. The survivors are left to fight for their lives as they attempt to escape the sinking ship. FULL MOVIE in HD & Widescreen

THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE 2005 - The NBC TV remake loosely combines both plots of 1972's big blockbuster disaster film and the 1979 sequel into one film. A cruise ship succumbs to a terrorist act and capsizes on New Year's eve. A ragtag group of survivors, spearheaded by a Priest and a homeland security agent, must journey through the upside down vessel and attempt an escape. FULL MOVIE in HD & Widescreen

WAR OF THE WORLDS 2005 UK Version Director's Cut - Martians launch a ruthless assault on an unsuspecting Victorian England, in an attempt to escape their dying planet. Considered to be the most faithful version to the HG Wells Novel, this is the Director's version, and a personal favorite of mine. While the SFX are not the quality of Spielberg's version, the Martians & their machines are presented just as they are described in the novel, feeding on the human blood they extract, and several scenes are particularly grisly.
