Not successful without a will and life insurance.

If spouses don't agree, business is doomed to failure. Written job descriptions are best. Harder to forget.

To be successful, a person must set goals, write them down and read them often. 5 Years, 400 Cows & 2,000 Acres. Did we make it, yes we did.

50 years of owning and operating our own businesses and lately moving to Padre Island Texas, I am "The Barefoot Businessman".

A person must decide where they are going, before they have any chance of getting there. I am neither an accountant nor an attorney, but after 50+ years of owning & operating our own businesses & retiring to Padre Island Texas, I am "The Barefoot Businessman".

This is called "rope & drag" and this is cowboys recreation, social hour & happy hour all rolled into one. Not to mention 300+ cows and their calves worked and ready to go to pasture.

In 2017 my lovely wife and I "retired" and moved to Corpus Christi, TX. Great place to live. We still have business interests in Nebraska, but delegate the work.

16 row John Deere Combine. $350,000.00 plus another cool one hundred grand for the head. Farming is very big business. If your stomach is full, thank a farmer.

Corn Harvest, central Nebraska. $50,000. 00 truck, $26,000.00 trailer, $250,000.00 tractor, $100,000.00 auger wagon. $5,000.00 worth of corn. Takes many truck loads of corn to make a living on the farm these days.
