US Air Force Bolster NATO’s Air Power Amid Growing Russia-Ukraine Tension
US Military #News - The US Air Force has dispatched six F-15E Strike Eagles to bolster NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission.
The fighters, part of 4th Fighter Air Wing, came from Seymour Johnson Air Base and will fly alongside Belgian Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons that were already assigned to the Baltic Air Policing mission. Together, they will safeguard the airspace over the Baltic States from airspace safety violations while practising air-to-air and air-to-ground tactics. #USnews #USANews
Baltic Air Policing is a regular, peacetime mission intended to ensure safe airspace over and near the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. These countries don’t possess the necessary air policing capability, so other NATO Allies cover their airspace on a rotating basis.

The Exercise called Neptune Strike 22, levered the Combat Power of a U.S. Carrier Strike Group Sircraft carrier Harry S. Truman and its Carrier Strike Group.
The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group. includes guided missile destroyers Bainbridge, Cole, Gravely, Jason Dunham, guided-missile cruiser San Jacinto, along with Carrier Air Wing 1 and staff from Carrier Strike Group 8.
It was the first time since the Cold War that a full U.S. carrier strike group came under NATO command.

Dutch & German Marines • Train Off Scottish Coast
Here is footage of an exercise in testing NATO’s #Maritime strength that took place off the coast of #Scotland.
Twelve NATO Allies participated in Exercise Dynamic Mariner-21. It brought together 21 surface ships, one submarine and seven #maritime patrol #aircraft
The exercise tested the #NATO Response Force Maritime Component and interoperability with NATO forces. The exercise, which took place from 18 to 30 September 2021, ran alongside the UK exercise Joint Warrior 21-2.

NATO’s multinational battlegroup in Lithuania demonstrated their bridge building skills and joint combat readiness during exercise Iron Wolf in Lithuania.
At one of Lithuania’s largest annual #military exercises, Iron Wolf, distinguished visitors such as Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg view the combat readiness and multinational togetherness of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence battlegroup situated in Lithuania. #USAnews
The battlegroup is led by Germany and includes #Soldiers from Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Norway.

The #Military exercise provided, 3,500 Dutch #Soldiers with the Opportunity to train on unfamiliar terrain and to test forces who will be deploying to Lithuania to support NATO’s enhanced forward presence. The majority of the Dutch troops taking part are from 43rd Mechanized Brigade. The footage includes various shots of armored vehicles on the training ground and soldiers taking positions in the forest.
