N'JennsGems (( Magnet Matcher ))
I am demonstrating how you match your magnets.
You will need your own multi-meter.
The banana plugs are a part of the (( Magnet Matcher )), so, you do not have to worry about breaking your probes to your multi-meter.
1. Flip your multi-meter to 20volts.
2. Plug Black lead into the multi-meter COM Port
3. Plug Red into the V(ohm)mA Port (please pause video to look)
4. Turn on your multi-meter.
5. Turn the dial on your (( Magnet Matcher )) and zero it out with the dial
until you have 0.00 ------> NOT - 0.00 <----
6. Once you have zero'd out your multi-meter, place your magnet in front of the probe to read your magnet strength.
Your front magnets will read negative numbers
(North magnet is pulling South voltage or negative voltage from your multi-meter - this is normal).
Test the edges. Each magnet can very in strength at the edges. (more on this soon).
7. Flip the magnet over to see if your numbers get better or worse, (just like step 6). Keep notes.
8. Testing South magnets should pull positive numbers on your multi-meter.
9. The weak edges vs stronger edges. When you put your magnets in the chassis, try to keep a weak edge
and a strong edge on one side of the car, and vice versa. If you put two strong, and two weak edges together,
your motor will likely run like crap. The PUSH PULL of the weak to strong edges and PUSH PULL from
strong to weak will even out the magnets eddy.
You will want the center of the magnets to be as close as possible since they are the center of your eddy flow
north vs south.
I hope this helps everyone understand why a magnet matcher is different than a downforce meter.
Matching magnets and the usage of a downforce meter (easily made with a cheap gram scale) will surely improve
your motors capacity.
As always your mileage may vary.

Aurora Good Humor Clean Up
There was a time; when you would hear that iconic music
a couple blocks away from your neighborhood.
Everyone was so happy on a hot summer day when
the Good Humor Truck rolled up!
After you finally made your decision on what you were getting,
you would wave good bye as the Good Humor driver slowly continued on his route to his next street.
Ahhh... the good ole days!
If you could; would you step back in time for a Good Humor treat?
I would!
The body still needs way more attention.
It needs new paint, decals for sure.
The chassis is a flamethrower. It came with the truck.
I think the truck needs some new, well, everything!
I kept it all original except for a front rim, front tire, and
I Think I added better brushes.
The shoes are silver plated. Someone loved this truck!
I had to put a shim on the rear screw post to lift it up off the tires.
You can see in the 'dirty' side views, the rear tires hit the fender wells.
Adding a temp shim took care of it.
If the truck had TJet style rims, it would not hit.
Its cute. I think I'll keep'er.
Maybe its time for ice cream, and a nice cup of cawfee!

Cleaning up the Batmobile.
The Batmobile wasn't very crusty.
It ran when I got it, but, sluggish.
All I did was clean it up with vinegar, and rinsed everything with soap and water.
After I rinsed it all off, I cleaned up the brass and copper a bit.
I cinched the solid rivets down to ensure good electrical contact from the shoes to the armature.
I kept all the original parts, nothing was replaced.
The brushes were very close to the original tolerance.
The springs had plenty of pep.
The shoes have a small bit of wear.
The tires are original.
It actually runs nice.
Check for a follow up of it running smooth on just 5 volts of power.

Batmobile running at 5 volts after a cleanup
Cleaned up the slot car with plain white distilled vinegar, soap, water, and a little brush.
Its not a very long video; it shows the smoothness at a low 5 volts.

4.2 Sleeper Mean Green Double Wire Armature Part 2 of 2.
This is a short video to show how a dual wire 4.2 (+/-.01) ohm armature in a tub with Level 10 magnets, and Super II magnets. The armature ran smoother with the Super II magnets. The Hotter Level 10 magnets makes the armature sound like it is working harder. The armature was warm with the Level 10 magnets, and cool with the Super II magnets.
The ohms show 4.4, but, it is actually 4.2 - you must zero out your meter, and subtract that number. My meter shows 0.2 when you zero it out. hence; 4.2 ohms.

9.4 ohms Dual wire Double lamination AFX Pancake Armature Test.
Here in this video; I show you how well a 9.4 ohm double wire two lam armature performs in an AFX Non Mag chassis.
(The chassis and gear plate are for testing purposes only)
The leaf spring tensioners could be tuned a little better.
I rewind pancake armatures;
If you want your old pancakes rewired, or, if there is a certain
ohm you are seeking; please contact me..
I wrap 0.7 ohms up to 20 ohms.
I do single, double and tripe winds.
I have rewired Slimlines, Super II Quadralams,
New Autoworld, and Dash armatures, and of course
many Aurora and AFX armatures.
Enjoy the show.
