The Biblical signs of our time are all telling us Jesus is Coming Soon! And Sooner than ever before! Still, the first thing the Holy Spirit through the apostle Peter told us to know about the last days is that scoffers and mockers would come. They would reason that since Jesus hasn't come yet that He won't come at all. As believers, we are not called to prove the Word true – we're all called to Believe it. Just because the Signs of Jesus coming back are all around us does not mean everyone will be expecting Him to come back. Seeing the signs of the times, even seeing miracles right in front of you doesn't force you to believe – it forces you to Decide. For God or against Him. Scripture tells us that as the events of the Last Days unfold, we will see specific Signs being fulfilled. These signs are indicators of our times and the nearness of Christ's Second Coming. These last days haven't taken God by surprise. Anybody who reads and believes the Bible knows God told us long ago what to expect before we even got here. Dangerous days and perilous times, worldwide tribulations and constant persecutions. The Last Days are filled with reasons to watch out and be on guard. But just because God warns us about the difficulties of our time doesn't mean that's what He wants us Focused on. When the world is in distress, God always has something He wants His people looking at and / or looking forward to. Faith says what God says and faith looks where God says to look. Faith has a Focus. And in these last of the last days, Jesus told us to Look Up. Why. Because some thing is coming, our redemption. Some One is coming. Jesus! And His reward is with Him! He is looking for Faith when He comes. If we want to be ready we should be looking for Him . . Christians have a bad habit of using Bible words differently than how the Bible uses them. It causes confusion and error. Though people call many things "prophetic" the Bible uses that word in a specific way. For something to be truly "prophetic" that means it is of or pertaining to the Prophet's ministry or the gift of prophecy. We should say what the Bible says . . If something really is a true prophetic word, the Bible tells us what you're supposed to do with it – HOLD FAST to it. When you're holding fast to prophetic word you are given from God - it strengthens, comforts and encourages you in faith. It takes faith to be faithful. To have faith you have to have a Word from God. If you got a Word - you got a Victory! If you will hold fast to it . . The Bible tells us to eagerly desire the greater gifts of the Spirit. But do we? I'm talking about believers. We are told even to especially desire to prophesy. There are different levels of expression and authority in the gift of prophecy because there are differences in rank and graces in the Body of Christ. In the ministry of a prophet for example oftentimes prophecy includes 2 of the 3 revelation gifts - word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discernings of spirits. But you don't have to be a prophet to prophecy by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit . . Prophecy is inspired utterance from the Holy Spirit in a known tongue. Just as Tongues are Holy Spirit inspired utterance in an unknown tongue. Prophecy does not have to be predictive or foretelling or even spooky. The simplest level of prophecy is giving inspired Testimony. True testimony edifies exhorts and comforts. Every believer can prophecy because every Christian can testify of what they have seen and heard Christ do in their lives . . It is easy to say we have strong faith. . . until pressures come. As long as everything is going smoothly we can get by with faith that is small and do nothing of any consequence. When you're in faith about a thing you have Peace that is unexplainable to the natural mind. But when you're in fear you don't have peace of mind at all. The Bible says Fear has Torment, which is the same word used elsewhere to describe the punishments experienced in Hell. Faith and Peace or fear and torment. Jesus told us repeatedly that God knows our needs, and that He knows them BEFORE we even ask. Of course God really does know everything [generally], but Jesus wants us to know concerning our lives and situations that the Father knows and cares about us [specifically]. His children are valuable to Him. And if He valued us enough to send His Son for us, everything else is small stuff . . Faith will draw the Blessing of God to you. Fear like faith calls things to you, but not the Good. Fear draws evil, bad things to you; the very things you are afraid of. Worry is a form of fear. If you're going to worry you are going to help the bad thing you're afraid of come to pass in your life. That's why God doesn't want us to worry has told us NOT to fear . . One reason God doesn't want His children to worry is because it damages our physical bodies. Whether it be ulcers or headaches or high blood pressure or loss of sleep - God knows stress and anxiety are killers. The medical world is only just catching up to what the Bible has been saying for millenia. God has promised that we can be free from worry and can sleep peacefully if we trust Him. If you are a child of God, do you actually have a valid reason to Worry? Think about that. Worry is a form of fear, fear comes out of unbelief - and unbelief never gives God more access into your life. It actually cuts Him off from doing anything for you at all, and opens the door to the enemy instead.
