Building the Wall for the Wall Pads
In this video you’ll see how we installed the wall pads at the Boys and Girls Club in Laredo, Texas.
This project was unique in that it’s the only project in which we needed to build the wall to which the wall pads would be anchored. And, we had to build it to be easily disassembled and reassembled for future gym flooring replacement.
The building was constructed in 1943 as a USO facility during world war II and then became the Boys Club of Laredo a few years later. Here’s a link to the history: https://www.bgclaredo.com/about-us/

Court of Legends, Part 1, Installing Wall Mount Basketball Goals
This Sport Court® gym flooring project included the installation of 3 basketball goals. This time lapse shows the installation of the 6' glass backboards from Gared Sports. These are the same backboards that are used by the NBA.
The wall mount backstops can extend as far as 12' from the wall. These are a great option when the backboard is close enough to the wall. And, compared to ceiling mounted goals, these are significantly less expensive.

How to Remove and Reinstall Your Gym Floor
How to remove your gym floor and then reinstall it? Is this even possible? Well, it depends upon the type of gym floor you have. Most gym floors, once removed, go straight to the landfill. This is certainly true of vinyl and wood floors. But, Sport Court® gym flooring often has a second, third, or even forth life. That’s because Sport Court® gym flooring can be removed and then reinstalled.
It’s no secret that roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and even small floods easily ruin most gym flooring. But, water issues are not the only reason that you may need to remove your gym floor. Construction or remodeling work may also require the removal of your gym floor. And, up until now, you probably thought that removing your gym floor meant buying a new one.
Sport Court® gym flooring is made for safety, longevity, and durability. Constructed of long lasting polypropylene, Sport Court® is the safest floor in the world, and also the most durable.
Sport Court® gym flooring can be installed, removed, stored, and then reinstalled as needed. Whether you have a plumbing leak or you’re moving to a new building, Sport Court® flooring can be removed and reinstalled.
Removing a single piece or a large area of Sport Court® flooring is quick and easy. This video shows you how: https://youtu.be/7gDa7osHqqE

Removing a Cushioned Vinyl Floor from a Gym
In this video you’ll see how to remove a cushioned vinyl gym floor with a Blast Pro floor scraper.
Pockets of water had become trapped between the cushioned vinyl and the concrete floor slab. The only way to extract the water, was to slice up the floor. In other words, the flooring had to be removed.
The other problem was that the cushioned vinyl flooring was too rubbery, increasing strain on player’s lower extremities as they start, stop, and change direction during play. This causes fatigue and causes more injuries.
The cushioned vinyl flooring was replaced with Sport Court® Response High Gloss Maple Select. It’s known as the “Safest Gym Floor in the World”™. Response flooring is statically proven to reduce injuries by roughly 50% compared to similar play on other gym floor surfaces. (Injury data provided by Nike Tournament of Champions.)
Injury reductions on Sport Court® gym flooring are due to the floor’s unique ability to absorb lateral energy forces. This is the energy that is transmitted into the floor when a athlete makes an abrupt change in motion. Such as when they start, stop, or change directions.
The project is the Ben Garza Gymnasium in Corpus Christi, Texas. If you’d like to get additional information about this project, please visit: https://southtexassportcourt.com/ben-garza-gymnasium/

Why You Need a Court Clean for your Gym Floor
https://southtexassportcourt.com/product/court-clean/
https://southtexassportcourt.com/product-category/maintenance/
Court Clean™ is simply the very best way to quickly clean the floor in your gym or any other large space. Court Clean™ is ideal for daily cleaning because it is fast and inexpensive, saving you time and money.
Proper daily cleaning is important for performance, safety, and longevity.
Cotton yarn dry dust mops are outdated and inadequate, often leaving behind about as much dirt as they collect.
Dust can reduce traction, creating a dangerously slick surface. Dust and dirt tracked in from outside can also have an abrasive effect which slowly grinding away your gym floor’s high gloss coating.
Daily mopping is time consuming and expensive, costing thousands of dollars a year in employee time. And, when your gym is shut down for cleaning, you’re losing revenue.
Court Clean™ is fast, inexpensive, and thorough, trapping and collecting dirt that dust mops and traditional wet mops leave behind.
The innovative Court Clean™ system is a large drag behind flat mop that can be used wet or dry.
The system features reusable cleaning towels that are machine washable. So, you’ll never mop with a dirty mop or dirty water ever again.
In a typical high school gym, you’ll use 4 or 5 towels to clean the entire gym floor.
Always Machine wash the towels so they are ready for the next use.
Daily cleaning of your gym floor has never been easier or faster. On average, a high school gym can be swept and mopped with a Court Clean™ in about 15 to 20 minutes.
